I was celled up with a convicted murderer. He got a letter that told him his cat of 20 years died. That man cried for 3 days. Not one person in there thought of messing with him about it. Shit, most of us were right there with him. His cat was one of the last things, he felt, keeping him human. PS: You could do a whole video just on the proper use of "please, thank you and pardon me" Manners do go a long way in there.
My cat saved me from a deep depression and when i hit the lowest of my lows this little kitten. Cold wet and im assuming hungry because it ate the food i had like it was nothing. She saved my life 4 years ago

The first time I watched this I was tripping on shrooms and the part where the cartoon bus is on the map and the song comes on singing, "let's go to prison", I started saying, "I don't wanna go to prison though" lmao good times
Larry, you've said EVERYTHING I've wanted to tell everyone. I've been a County C/O for nearly 18 years. I laughed my ass off to this movie, but TV/movies always have it wrong with sentencing, cell mate, prison "choices", the way the showers are set up.... it's all not how it goes. Also, much respect to you my man. Love seeing inmates who make it out and find a way for themselves. You're a genius to start this channel. Also, I'm sorry to hear how C/O's treated you in this video. You're right, respect for everyone goes a LONG way.

My son is in Lewisburg with just 8 month left . Strait A student turned drug dealer . This used to be one of our favorite movies , how ironic . We've talked about what they got right and wrong in this movie . Somehow this has made me want him home more than ever so he can begin his new life . He has lost over 150 lbs and is in awesome shape . Thank you .

@@9Godslayer I'll have to rewatch it some time, been like ten years and I don't remember anything except the basic plot of the show where criminals work together to find escaped convicts and each have a unique skill or something and are working to get a reduced sentence.
I got picked for jury duty a couple times. Missed one duty day, got a second chance, missed the second time. Told the judge I started a new job and was a college kid, had to pay $50, cool whatever. Second time, got a letter for district jury duty. I lived in a different state when I got that. Filled out a slip, wrote "don't ever pick me again, I don't care, leave me alone." So far, I don't think I've been picked again. Hope to God I don't get picked again. Funny part at the hearing or whatever it was when I went to court for failing to appear, one lady went with a plan. She told the judge the reason why she couldn't do jury duty was because of her religion that was holiness and she couldn't judge people. The judge had the look of are you serious but let her off, you can go home, no fine. My reaction was you gotta be fucking kidding me. Good times
One of the most underrated movies ever. I agree with you on having professional jurors. It would take a Constitutional Amendment for it to happen but it would be a good idea. I'd rather be judged by 12 lawyers who only consider the facts of the case and not emotions.

Lmao the prosecutor when given the right to kick off any juror they want chose me first. I was literally the only person on that jury who was actually that defendant's peer. I guess the prosecutor doesn't actually want that.

I think the American prison system is being used as a reservoir for greater social problems we refuse to fix. I think there are two basic philosophies to the purpose of a prison system: (1) rehabilitative and (2) retributional. The mentality in this country is that the prison system is retributional; by design it's purpose is to not make the person better, but to make them suffer.

I read your poster on the back wall with a message to your children to my two sons and they both almost cried. I'm a cancer survivor and I wasn't supposed to be able to have kids, and I am the first person in the last six generations of my family to have two boys, so my wife and I have truly been blessed. We have been fighting tooth and nail to get a bigger house for our family and this year God also blessed us with a house almost three times the size of our first house, so although 2020 was a horrible year for most people, it was one of the best for the four of us. Keep doing what you're doing brother and God bless.

this is one of my favorite comedies. I used to watch a lot of movies 10-15 years ago.
Larry's expression at "You'll be free to go, to the hole" makes me think he may have been through that once or twice.
He has, someone told him to ask the warden for better food when he first got to prison and he got sent to the hole
