- In this video, I will show you guys how to fix no drives were found. Click load driver to provide a mass storage driver for installation.
Sometimes hard drives or hard disk not showing during windows installation in that time you can use my method to fix your missing drives error.

Make Sure You have Backup your drives before following my steps.
Because It will erase all your data on your Disk
Commands:
diskpart
select disk 0
clean

For the newer PCs most likely you will need an intel VMD driver. Or disable VMD from BIOS. If you follow the guide in this video you will just clean your usb stick with the windows install…

I’m having this issue big time. When I disable VDM it says something about windows secure boot policy. Do you know how to fix this??

dude, it didn't just delete every data, it delete everything, my USB drive have 0 free space now and 0 used space. this is not funny, now I need to buy a new drive,
@@xpl2008 wait so my USB is now just messed up forever or what... it gave me a loading error on my PC when i rebooted it when i went to install windows. I followed this guide and it just gave me an error. Can you please help me? This whole installing windows thing has my head spinning.

I think this cleans the bootable usb which we use to install windows. Because I had tried this method from watching another clip (same instructions) and then my pendrive stopped working.
Does it suppose to show the original size of the hard when I list it ?

I did this and "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key" came up. I fixed the problem with my hard drive. All i needed to do was plug in the power cord. Now I do not know what to do, what should i do?

All this did was completely wipe the usb I was using to install Windows. I can't even format the usb drive now, making it a $7 chunk of useless plastic. Thanks bro, that really helped...
You weren’t suppost to wipe the usb drive.. you were suppost to wipe the hard drive your tryna get windows onto from the usb and I just used this and it worked

You can recover your USB by going to computer management and creating a new Drive Name and new USB name ....mine got wiped out too and this way I was able to get the USB back

Hi . I face the same problem recently. When I try to use the command prompt, there no drive detected after I type "list disk" commad. Is this probably my hard drive hardware issue or something?

What do I need to do when I have cleaned and formatted my disk and it still says no disk to install windows onto.
I'm trying to install Windows 10 from a USB to my PC which only has a small SSD but only my USB drive shows up when I follow your instructions? Any idea why the SSD won't show?

OMG it works! After this procedure just reboot and the disc is displayed in the list!

Nothing shows up after I type "list disk" is here any other way or methods if no disk is showing up. I am stuck on the windows logo, so I have no access to the computer
What if my drive is not shown at 1:05 even though it is formatted as ntfs? I am starting a computer with a flash drive (windows installation media) then plugging my new hard drive in (SATA 3)

unfortunately even after those commands it still don't see the drives. however when I click on update driver and browse it sees all the hard drives.

i have an Msata drive, my sata SSD connector was cut, it still didn't recongnize the drive, with DISKPART, it doesn't recognize also an SD Card on a card reader, Windows Installer is a pretty limited program .. pretty sad, i was sure that disconnecting the wifi card and putting an MSATA drive will work but it didn't

You can hit shift and f10 at same time when your in the part that doesn’t show the hard drive and it will take you to command prompt
what do you do after you type list disk and nothing shows up?

I did this but the cmd prompt says there is no media in the drive, when I go to clean the drive it says “virtual disk service error: there is no media in the device.”

When i install windows10 with version higher then 10240 it does not show any drive but when i install windows10 built 10240 ot shows the drives and no error is shown ...why is this??...i want to install version 1909

after it showed up (i have an ssd with 256gb of space) When i tried to install windows on it it just popped an error screen and Identified The Drive as a 2gb Drive

Quick question, when you insert “Clean” does it erase everything on the disk? Or it’s just a clean 🧼 or clean as in erase like deleting everything
yes it deletes everything on the drive. thats why you need to backup the data in that drive .

it cleaned the USB that has windows on it, and now it says that i have to format that drive in order to use it. great video man! solved nothing! when I click format, it just says that "windows is unable to format this drive"

@Anonymous Googler yeah solved it a long time ago, dont remember exactly but i think there was an option to ”clean” the ssd inside bios then it worked

how to go back to installing windows setup? do i need to turn off PC ?
protip: your motherboard came with a CD-Rom that has drivers on it. plug in an external optical drive, plop in the CD and when you get to the "Windows is too stupid to see your hard drives" hit "load driver" then don't hit scan. don't bother letting windows do anything automatically. windows couldn't find it's asshole if its life depended on it. Do "browse" and manually scan through the folders on the CD for any relevant directories until you see a named driver in the list, then hit next and you'll be able to install like normal.
