Trevor Lawrence will probably be the best, I mean Lawrence has been projected to be #1 qb prospect in the draft since he was like 14 years old, if lawrence got on a better team then he would do much better but lawrence reminds me of mahomes (besides the hair and the fact that mahomes looks like a muppet.) Its like evaluating a Hollywood actor who looks the part of qb and now Kyle Shanahan has the challenge of his career to teach them to become a qb .lol 50% running back 50% passing attempts is the body of work evedience.. Its easy to loose weight get in shape but to teach someone to pass is like teaching old dogs new tricks. It just hasn't historically ever worked out. . Athletic bodys are side arm lose joints. side arm naturally puts funky movements in the ball and low elbows give it away. Trying to fight natural every throw.
While I agree Trey has a better ceiling than Mac Jones, he also has a lower floor. With very little college experience, I believe the smallest amount in NFL history of any QB drafted, the Niners basically drafted a High School QB to play in the NFL. That was the same problem Trubisky had when he was drafted #2 by the Bears several years ago. And this this video highlight reminds me too much of Tim Tebow...did you notice in the highlights he is rushing in almost half of the highlights? His running seems alot more spectacular than his passing...and some of the passing clips were repeated. Since 3 #1's were given up for Trey, I hope this pans out...too many similarities to Trubisky's situation...and if they make him run half the time, I would be concerned about his long term health in the NFL, like with Cam Newton.
