      Ironic how the Jimmy-hate comes out from 49er "fans" who complain about Purdy-hate.
      Brock has surpassed Jimmy, but there were a lot of highlights for Jimmy. Plenty in just one incredible 2019 Wk14 Saints game - one of the best games in 49er history. In fact, in 2019 I recall Jimmy throwing 3 beautiful deep passes that were over 50 yards by air. (How many 50+ yarders did Brock throw this past excellent year? Zero.) And Jimmy's 10 games in 2022 (7-3, with 6 blowout wins), leaving the team playoff bound, resulted in lots of ELITE stats that people seem to forget. Not saying he was better than Brock. But Jimmy had a lot of success and plenty of highlight reel plays.

    The game manager thing is stupid. So many throws Brock makes are in the perfect spot for the receiver. I remember Jimmy constantly threw high over the middle. People act like all the catches by the receivers are because the receiver went out of his way to make the catch as if the throw was bad. More than half of the throws I saw were in a PERFECT spot for the receiver.

    • @gregrizzo8054
      @gregrizzo8054 4 месяца назад +13

      CMC made a huge difference in the 49ers offense, but one of the reasons he ran for so many yards is because the deep threat Purdy and all his receivers showed caused defenses to have to play off the line of scrimmage. Without a deep threat QB, other teams can stack the box and shut down the run. The 49ers were one of the most balanced teams in the NFL. Purdy threw 150 less passes than Jared Goff with basically the same yardage. He only played 16 games vs 17 for Goff.

    • @stephplayz8440
      @stephplayz8440 4 месяца назад +6

      I'm gonna start this off by saying I am a diehard niners fan. Brock is a game manager. Now before any replies eat me alive, he is the best in the league. Every qb is a game manager, he calls the plays, he decides where the ball is going out to, he needs to read the defense to change anything pre-snap. If your qb does not manage his offense well your team will not win a lot of games. I think the only exception to this is the steelers, who get carried every year. But that's just how I feel about it. Brock Purdy should be the MVP.

      @@stephplayz8440 Well said. What amazes me is that when Purdy plays well they blow teams out. When he struggles they lose or barely win. If they have so many weapons on that team and Brock is so average, why is it that he makes the biggest difference between winning and losing?

    What people seem to not realize is that Brock Purdy is not so much an individual contributor like Lamar Jackson - a freak athlete that single-handedly takes over a game. Instead, Brock Purdy is a FORCE MULTIPLIER. He ENHANCES not only his teammates' performance (enabling career BEST performances from CMC, Deebo, Aiyuk, and Kittle - all achieving 1,000+ yard seasons), but he even enhances and brings out the career best of Kyle' Shanahans play-calling. Lamar is an incredible individual performer but there's a limit to how effective that can be in a TEAM sport. It's not that Lamar isn't a force multiplier/team enhancer. It's just not his specialty, while it IS Brock Purdy's specialty.

      Yes he is before ravens game he was going to win the mvp but the ravens cause a lot turn overs and purdy meltdown ever sense that game seems like he’s been little more overthinking but with a good nfc game by him and 3 TDs he will be to his mvp level

      @@DanielGomez-fu9nmI really hated Kyle and his play calling that game. Instead of helping out his struggling young qb with some runs, he kept calling pass plays over and over again. It's subtle but Purdy's confidence definitely took some damage on Xmas

      They'll say he has the greatest players around him with the greatest play caller. Brady was still dogged even after winning his 7th ring because he was a 6th round pick! It will never leave Purdy but as long as he keeps winning, he won't care!

      The Lions put up a hell of a fight. Purdy put the team on his back and said not today. It was the ballsiest performance by a QB I've seen this decade. Haven't seen cojones like that on display since Brady hung up his cleats.

    I always saw BA as a all pro receiver if given the opportunity & boy am i seeing it now in full display! Purdy seems to have that vibe or that connection with him like a Brady & Gronk,Moss or Welker back in New England! I've said it many times that BA is our X-Factor and Purdy is verifying that! Also 3rd & Juan is becoming another gifted wr that has a high ceiling & has great hands & physicality.But our O-line has got to get better on protection and penetration to give Brock ample time to process & make accurate & aggressive throws! This kidd is the future but only if we keep him healthy & comfortable knowing what he has in a team! Let's Go Niners! Bang-Bang 💥💥 let's go do this thang!

    People be hating and thinking Brock is all YAC, but he has the most 20+ yards passes and 40+ yard passes this year, as you see here, most of those 20+ yard passes were tackled after the catch so it's all passing yards and YAC is minimal.

    They said he couldn't win a game without Deebo, they said he couldn't win a game behind on points. Well, not only did he win a game without Deebo, he led not one but two comeback wins and is taking his team to the Superbowl, something that should of been done last year. Win or lose, the future is real bright for this Niners team with Brock at the helm. And before the haters come here and say "Its because of the people around him, the system this, that." no its not, there's something special here, statiscally, Brocks bad games are Jimmys best, before Brock, Deebo was overrated, Aiyuk wasn't "elite" Kittle was in Kelces shadow, oh but now that they have a good qb and he's putting up better numbers than most qbs this season, the niners are all finally recognized as elite just to throw dirt on Purdy's name? I hope they win the Superbowl and beat Mahomes to shut the mouths of people who really don't know ball.

    Hurts wins 7 games by 1 score and/or in final drives, and he's great for it. Purdy dominates all year, then finally has to win a close one on the final drive, but he's still no good.
    Purdy could go undefeated for 2 years straight, and he'd still have idiots trying to shade him.

    This young man gets so much hate. He was literally the last pick in the NFL draft. Mr irrelevant. He has accomplished so much in his short time in the NFL.Does he has a lot of weapons yes he does. But he also utilizes those weapons. Bcus let’s not forget there were a lot of quarterbacks that were highly picked in the past and hell even now. And they turned out to be trash. Let this man play the game and let’s njoy what we are witnessing, Bcus this man represents all the underdogs out there.
