What you see in this video really shows the primary components to finding and catching fish: 1. Know the general area you need to be casting a line. 2. Fish that area and make the necessary moves to zero in on the fish. 3. Refine your presentation/technique and/or lure selection in order to get them to bite better/faster. The finer details to this entire process, and more, is what you'll find inside LAFB Elite. This page lists all the benefits of membership: www.lafbelite.com/join/
I understand that not everyone in the world will like me or my videos. So, if they leave a "thumbs down" then I think it would be nice of them to leave constructive criticism in the comments section or reach out to me via my contact page and tell me what was so bad (so I can make better content).
My primary jigging rod at the bridges and anywhere else is st croix legend tournament with a shimano citica and my back up set up is a st croix avid x with a shimano curado k medium fast and extra fast. Jigging so called deepwater is my favorite and most effective technique . I also love fishing ledges in the winter. I never understand why people have complications with this technique. I live for that tick on the end of the rod.

So I got the st croix rod you were using based on your and chas’ recommendation but I also got a tatula 100 based on solely your recommendation and for the free solar hoodie i am now patiently awaiting
This video was a year ago and you recently been in the lake I heard it will catch them by the bridge but I guess you got to go out there and experience it to really know I think your videos are cool anybody who even makes them to me and doing something positive
Ha ha ha ha! No, but close: a 50e. When I broke my Tatula 6'3" in the door of my truck I pulled out the old trusty trout jigging combos to get me by in the meantime.
What was the date of this trip? I just started watching the video, so excuse me if its mentioned later. Also, which side of the bridge is better up current or down current in your opinion
Great questions. Honestly, I don't recall, not without looking. You can probably see it on the graph at some point. As for which side of the bridge, what's keeping you from fishing both? I'm pretty sure I detail this in the video towards the beginning of the fishing trip. Thanks for watching!
@@LAFishBlog The reason I ask about the date, I live in Eden Isles and the wind blew out of the SE over 20 knots for almost 3 days straight May 19-21. Just wondering if was after that, I don't think the trout have been on the bridges in the same numbers since. Just caught a glimspe of it on the sonar, 4/30/21 whole different ball game now
@@brewster102 Man, the trout haven't been on those bridges in the same numbers for ten years now. It's been a whole different ball game. I think the last REALLY kick ass year we had was 2016. A kickass day to me is catching 100+ trout and we don't have those numbers anymore because there aren't trout like that anymore.
How deep is the water at the bridge, I'm sure it was on the graph but I totally missed it. I've been told all my life that it's anywhere from 4 to 100 ft but I'm sure the bridge is deeper than 4' if a boat is still down there
It's mostly ~12ft, just depends where you're at. Check out a nautical chart sometime. Usually there's good depth info there for wherever it is you're interested in. Navionics has a free web app. Maybe I'll do a video on that.
On incoming Tide try the The south shore I-10, 25ytds off land 50yrds from Bridge start casting bumping the bait off the bottom let the tide take it toward the bridge Hold on Buddy try fishing Power pole #6 on Hwy 11 bridge Monster Trout Have fun.

Wouldn't it be better for the tide to just continuously befalling or rising while you're out there. I'm confused why you like the tide change close to when you're going to start fishing. Because in my experience there's could be up to 3 hours of dead water during the tide change. Do you just like the idea of just something different happening and therefore influencing the fish behaviour

Amen on the "tick on the end of the rod".
Watching the line jump is fun, too.
Caught a bunch of big trout trolling at MM 176 . I also used to spearfish for sheephead along the trestles for decades .
Do you not use ice in your ice chest?
Nice fish!! You may have lost a few with the heavy hook sets their mouths rip pretty easy

How long did you run with the trolling motor down before you noticed it? Lol
What do you mean?
@@LAFishBlog at 21:00 you’re driving with the trolling motor in the water
What do you use to check the wind n tide?
I use Windfinder and detail that more in this video: www.lafishblog.com/my-favorite-app-for-wind-forecasts/
Is that a curado 200e7??? The green machine?

Don't need any when ice runs through your veins.
