I've seen a lot of builds but the question remains, when the moving parts and pads ware out or break are you going to be able to readily replace them without being stranded . Stock parts are usually easy to get so upgrading to tundra axcels and brakes could be a better option. Every aftermarket product is prone to being here today and gone tomorrow so sustainable parts is very important.
Hey bro, I have got a NorWeld canopy On my SR extra cab Took it from my Mitsubishi Love them would never look for any other canopy Good solid build can't fault them. My hilux is 2022 just trying to get it back to where my old car was hahaha got so much more work to do. But you're getting there with your build keep up the good work 🤘
Keen to follow this build, mits definitely are the best looking but 10-12k on a tray and another 20k plus on a canopy… Pick up my extra cab in February so will definitely be watching to see your future mods on the channel
Looks awesome! Some wheels & tyres would set that off. I would just put a hard aluminium lid onto the tub. You can tie down your swag and other bits and pieces however wouldn't be dust proof
Very helpful video - I’m keen to follow your build. I’ve got a a dual cab 4x4 SR5 on order arriving in April - some great ideas that I’ll borrow from your build
Cheers for the feedback Anthony, I bet you're excited! It's worth the wait. Pretty sure I've decided on a canopy and it's a 3 month wait so expect a build update video not long after. Glad you have taken some ideas and I can give back to the many hours I spent planning mine on RUclips with other inspirational builds.
Absolutely mint hilux mate looks really well put together. my brother brought a 2021 sliver extra cab with all the arb fruit and a mits alloy tray and canopy very expensive setup but well worth it getting one for my ranger in the coming months!
Cheers heaps Wilbur, I came pretty close to locking in a MIT's they are a fantastic canopy. However I've locked in something a bit different.. Soon to be revealed :D
Nice sensible build, am looking to do similar 👍 I'm considering an all in one lithium portable power supply (handheld). I really can't see the point of a traditional fixed second battery system these days, they're heavy af and they limit flexibility in how you can use or charge.
Further to this, I have gone the portable lithium route and opted for the new Bluetti ac180. Simple, small and portable to the sun with solar panels, I really think the fixed battery system is becoming outdated and portable power is the new norm.
very similar to my sr5 Extracab build . I opted for a lovells pre rego gvm upgrade which also upgraded the gcm from 5600 to 6580 in all states bar Qld. Have you considered a Scan Gauge II? They are well worth it especially when you have a long range tank.
Cheers for your reply David, go the extra cabs!!👌 Yeah I heard about the Lovells one and it was a rabbit hole when it came to reviews and advice. In the end I went with Pedders and didn't worry about towing as I'll never need to tow anything heavy. I haven't considered a scan gauge, what's it do? I've estimated I get 1,400k's full to empty tho so I just reset the odo everytime I fill up.
G'day mate, no it doesn't. The Solis lights sit on the bar without any dramas. I asked this when I picked out the light and made sure it would affect the radar

Nice build mate. Get yourself a Richards lock-up kit and a trans cooler. Best mods I have done with mine.
Hey mate, I’ve just got a extra cab with Mits canopy and couldn’t be happier.
Hey mate if you in brissy check out tough tinnies and terrain they’re at Wynnum I think, really good prices and they do chassis mount too !

Wicked as mate, what colour are you going? It's a work in progress but I'll use it for now and figure out what I need over what I want 👌

Awsum...
From South Africa.
Metalink canopy mate 👍🏼
Looks great, check out GCI Traytec for a canopy.
Great work mate, getting my sr5 dual cab in Feb cannot wait..subscribed and keen to see your future work to the ute.
Cheers for the feedback mate, that's awesome! I bet you can't wait 👍😄

Too right mate, I'm getting the canopy without the powerboard and am keeping an eye on lithium portable innovations over the next year or 2.

Great video mate, just wondering do the spotlights have any interference with the radar installed on the Toyota badge?

Do you have idea about front bull bar weight???
I'm guessing around 80kg + side rails
@@RyanNichols888 does this effects on road fuel average
Why not consider an Alucab canopy camper?
What brand battery cradle do you have?
It's the ARB one mate 👍
