    I just bought a second pair for the looks. They look rugged and stylish while also understated. These shoes might not be one of the Top shoes for trail running, but they more than capable on a trail or a sidewalk. Sadly, Nike stopped selling them.

    I got these for around $65.. basically because they look quite good for casual use. Most of Nike's shoes for casual/lifestyle use are too juvenile, flashy or just ghetto these days.
    These sneakers come in some very nice color combos and have a nice shape and are perfect for everyday use around the city.

    Hey! Good review! They look a lot like the first couple of versions of the Wild Horse (I'd even say identical), which were more simple and minimal than the current ones. Good idea from Nike to provide this option again.

    So, I just picked up the 'oreo' colourway - strapped for cash, caught these for $94 CDN. Size 12 true, and they run true - not wide, not tight, not loose. My 'assumption' and another guiding reason I bought them, is that Nike 'LUNAR' midsole are my ABSOLUTE FAV. Having 3 (three) visible architectural lines running the sides of the midsole has always from what I can gather denoted a 'LUNAR' midsole - whether it is printed on said shoe or not - you can verify and check this fact simply by going to any LUNAR shoe you have EVER had and see 3 (three) midsole lines. They ALL have it. In fact, there are NIKE shoes with 2 (two) of these lines and they have specifically NOT been, LUNAR midsoles. These DEFINITELY have 'the feel' of LUNAR, and I am more pleased by that than anything else in this world. There is nothing more snappy, responsive, and protective to me other than LUNAR - and that my friend is definitely THESE!

    • @swiftcolin
      @swiftcolin  2 года назад +1

      Love the lunar theory! I think you’re right, I did find these comfortable too, however traction was bad.

    • @Wstarlights
      @Wstarlights 2 года назад +1

      @Colin Swift I'll be using mine for the combo road-gravel path so as you mentioned for these, they will definitely be great for just that - for any more technical trails, I would certainly go with something more advanced - such as the Wildhorse, or Terra Kiger. Higher price point, but if you're putting in the mileage in the mud, well you'll know what's worth it or not! Ty for the great review! 👍

    Nike has always fit me true since I was a boy. I was looking for a shoe to walk some cinder or crushed stone rail trails, some moderate hiking ( no running), and riding my mountain bike, and under $100. I have had other Nike with that same issue of the stability side-to-side but not bad for just a casual sneak. I ordered a pair of these from Kohl's for $70 bucks last night. The blackish ones with the yellow swoosh and red laces. The only color I could find online in a US 15. I have a wide forefoot so I hope they fit well. Thanks Colin.

      @@swiftcolin Delivered the other day. I have put about 15 miles on them do far. I like them. I get a little more cushion because I use the Dr. Scholl's 440 inserts since I have flat feet. Funny thing, on flat surfaces like smooth vinyl flooring and painted concrete, the indent on the sole at heel creates a slight suction. Thanks again Colin.

    • @KyleKranz
      @KyleKranz 3 года назад

      And the reason I ask is that the Wildhorse 5 is the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn... So would like to replicate that feel. My Wh5's are just super worn down under the big toe and lateral heel.

    • @swiftcolin
      @swiftcolin  3 года назад +1

      Definitely not these! Wildhorse 5 had great traction and lots of protection underfoot, these have neither of those... tough question because the wildhorse 6 is a very different shoe from the 5 as well... the closest thing I’ve tried lately that compares to the Wildhorse 5 would probably be the Salomon Sense Ride 3, lots of protection, great traction and a very dense midsole.

    How are these shoes for normal everyday use? I walk/sometimes run on the roads for 1 hour every day. I literally just got these shoes today and wore them to a restaurant for a casual dinner and found they were slipping on the floor everywhere. I thought it was the shoes slipping on the wet-ish tiles but my friends mentioned that their dress shoes were also slipping on those tiles. Now, I am not sure if I should keep them or return them, for everyday use.
    I really like how they look but don't want shoes that would slip everywhere, that I am afraid of wearing them.
