    Nice overview. Very pleased to hear that they seem to be pretty durable. I love the look of Nordas - will be trying to pick up some reduced 001s soon.

    I went with the recommended half size up for both the 001 and 002. I haven't had any issues with the 002 sizing/toebox.

    Do you know if the stack height they list (19mm/15mm) is the entire stack or is that only the midsole thickness? Great review!

    • @swiftcolin
      @swiftcolin  2 месяца назад +1

      I’m not actually sure unfortunately, it definitely feels like a lower stack shoe.

    Great review. I’m torn between the 001 and 002 especially as they are not readily available to try on in store.

    • @swiftcolin
      @swiftcolin  9 месяцев назад

      Yea they’re hard to find unless you’re in a big city. I did have to send a pair back to Norda after trying them on and they made it pretty easy. Both solid shoes, 001’s are a little more versatile, 002’s are nice and fast feeling and great if you prefer lower stack shoes.

    Facinating~ My 10.5 fit perfectly and if my foot was more narrow...I could have gone down 1/2 size. I do enjoy the shoe for sure~ the nubs(some) on the medial side wear off around 500 miles but still solid. I agree...worth the price and I was lucky to catch a sale.

    • @swiftcolin
      @swiftcolin  11 месяцев назад

      Would definitely grab these on sale! I’m curious what’s your sizing in other brands? Best to be able to try on the Nordas before hand for sure.

      @@swiftcolin Most are 10 1/2 but it depends as we know as far as the width of the shoe...I find Norda comfy but a tad wide but maybe they stretch some...mine are approximately 500 miles and still lots of tread.

    • @swiftcolin
      @swiftcolin  11 месяцев назад +1

      @roustabout4fun interesting! No chance I could have fit into my TTS, but everyone is different, and yes mine are holding up great too, really enjoying them.

    The sizing of these shoes is crazy. I wouldn't advise buying them online. I bought the 002 and ended up going up a whole size and a half. You need to try them on in the shop and make sure that you have a thumb's width between your big toe and the end of the shoe. They are comfy right out of the box and sturdy. I went from a pair of Ultras (which had terrible grip) and the Nordas held on well with regard to traction. I am, though, conflicted about the design of the shoe. The upper is made of Bio-Dyneema, which is meant to be the world's lightest and strongest fiber. It certainly feels that it is. The outsole isn't so durable and has begun wearing away after only a few hundred km's. In addition to this, tears in the shoe have begun to appear in the heel and in other parts of the inside of the shoe. I don't feel that these 100 km walk videos really offer much to the viewer because you won't be able to discern much after 100 km - except, perhaps, for the general feel of the shoe's comfort and short-term performance.

    • @swiftcolin
      @swiftcolin  9 месяцев назад +1

      Interesting, agreed the sizing is wonky like I mention in the video, did my best to explain my experience. I personally like watching as many reviews on a shoe as possible to get a better idea for my own foot since I know everyone’s foot is different. Also I’ve only ever ran in this shoe, never walked, all on trail. I still haven’t seen any midsole deterioration like you mentioned. You should do a few 100km review dude!

      @@swiftcolin I do a lot of long-distance walking and I have never found the right shoe for it. I chose Norda because I wanted to help out a new company and because the vast majority of trail running shoe companies have now outsourced their manufacturing overseas and the quality isn't there anymore. Ultra shoes are an example of this, as are Salomon. Lowa also. For running, these shoes should be great. They have excellent traction and are comfy and solid. For anyone watching this and considering them for hiking, with a backpack, I would probably not recommend them. The Vibram sole and the inner sole just aren't as strong and durable as the upper. Great video for runners. Good luck with your channel!

    • @swiftcolin
      @swiftcolin  10 месяцев назад

      I would definitely go 001, 002 is tough enough to go that distance but depends on what your body and feet can handle with the lower stack.
