I had a 25" GE console TV that I used for nearly 30 years but it died on me 2 months ago after 2 back to back power failures. I had no choice but to buy a new TV. Now I have a Sharp 40" HDTV that will probably last a couple of years and then die because that is how electronics are these days...sadly they don't make them the way they used to.
James Currie You're the epitome of a jackass. First you comment saying "What the fuck is wrong with you guys", when we are getting along trying to have a laugh. What I'm implying is you can't take a joke, that's pretty pathetic.
It's a concept. It looks like you'll be able to design the size to your space and budget. Those who can afford 170" TVs will be corporations, senior and executive level corporate officers, very successful business owners. And in a few years, they will use this concept for you to put a 73 or 85" TV on your wall and it will cost $2-$3k. Also, imagine if you had a custom home build and you build an entertainment room with a TV WALL around this technology. If you can't afford the TV then just roll it into the house mortgage :)
jumpdukejump i will buy it cus i have big space in my house so im going to turn that area to cinema for my family and put a high quality sound system ☺🖒
Also we went from Beta format, VHS, CD, DVD, Blue ray, now blue ray 4K UHD, whats next 6K blue ray 4D, then 8K blue ray Super UHD, yet people are still using vinyl records, lol ? also old transistor radios which pick up radio stations around the world and now shops are re selling old records and new records on vinyl, i believe they will re release the old 12" DVD but with 8K UHD tech and players which support that format to suit all the new LED TV's coming out and at a level which the average consumer can afford, which is in around 15 years ?
So in reality this is NOT the biggest 170" SUHD TV they claim it is. This is more like (4) 85" TV modules put together. Im guessing it sell for about $25k each module. $100k dollars to put thistogether. Ridiculous...
..or to sum it up as he should have, 'this is a big tv'. I'd give it ten years and everyone will have an even larger one reduced to $90, finally meeting the end of modern cinema
Total and utter BS, that TV must be over 14 feet long, does it look 14 feet long, NOPE no way on this earth people ? Also the colour and sound spectrums are only as much as the human eyes and ears can see and hear, so going beyond that its a total waste of cash and technology, why is it when you put headphones on you can hear so much better its not funny, yet when you have a 12.2 home theater none of the 4K UHD sound is as good as basic computer speakers with headphone jacks, lol. :) So sound anything upto 20,000 hertz, and color is 390 to 700 nanometer or 430-770 THz. so till they invent a TV with a sound system which matches these perfectly its a total waste of Money full stop ?
Samsung TV product is a garbage. I have bought two different Samsung TV products the pictures and networking connection doesn't last more than 3 Yrs. I will never buy Samsung home electronics device again. Trust me if you put your money on this 170inch TV It won't last you for 3yrs before you regret why you put your money on it. The creativity doesn't last long like Sony or Panasonic.
Oh my that IS a big tv....Good Enough for a Rich person (AkA Donald Trump xD) to make a Home Theatre! Man if i had 20 Million bucks (Or Higer!) Then THAT Will be my first tv that i brought my self.....or somethin like that! Bye!
I'm watching on a 19" Samsung monitor. It has lasted me 8 years.
