Thank you very much. 1 minute before I wanted to order the Carly package, I decided to watch Carly reviews on RUclips and saw your video. I had not seen the really small sentence of yearly paying for the licence. This is ridiculous. So I will look for something similar. Thanks again.

Glad it helps. Subscription is normal for advanced devices, but Carly is really basic. For example, Thinkdiag2 needs a subscription but does 5x more than Carly.

I did not see this before an impulse buy based on Legit Street Cars (susgest you unsubscribe any ass-hat that promotes Carly). Carly is a rip-off. No refunds and they hide the fact that it's subscription-based. Deceptive advertising, sketchy business practices, no refunds, questionable value/functionality vs a standalone OBD2 scanner.

Hi man first of all thank you I was 1 sec before buying and you literally saved me. And secondly I saw a obd scanner that’s call thinkcar that’s has lower membership payment and it comes with a screen too for the same buying price. What’s your opinion on that?

    • @iamcarhacker

Hi, I the Thinkcar belong under Launch (professional scan tool manufacturer), so they have really good software. I can recommend the Thinkdiag2, I also did a video review if you want to check it: ruclips.net/video/CJnKmrenJ3o/видео.html&t

Wish I'd watched this before impulse ordering the Carly - it arrived this morning - what a piece of junk - spent all morning wrestling with it - it disconnects constantly from my Lexus GS460, and won't scan my Toyota Matrix at all - also I *know* something is up with the throttle on the Lexus because it sometimes won't go 100% throttle - but the Carly shows no errors. Guess I'll just have to go to the local garage to get them to use their non-toy scanner on it.

I bought the standard Carly with no yearly subsciption, which still allows you to diagnose the car. The check engine warning light is on and I used it to diagnose the car, but I get no information about the engine. Can someone please confirm if this thing checks your engine as well if you don't have a subscription? I have never seen something this cryptic in my whole life, I find ZERO information about exactly what STANDARD does and what PREMIUM does, and I am not the kind to get subscriptions unless they really make sense

Carly is a ripoff! Do not buy. They will charge you an unspecified "annual fee" of $175 then claim that they cannot refund it because you didn’t submit the cancellation one month before your "subscription" ended. What subscription? Oh, they bury that in the terms and conditions and don’t even tell you how much it is going to be. To find out, they direct you to a link that has no amounts and just puts you into a loop. Don't let them steal your money! Run away! Their customer service sucks.

Funny how only people who had issues fill the comment section bagging Carly.
I have a 2020 Toyota Landcruiser Prado, bought the Carly OBD2 scanner, apart from initial confusion getting it to link to my phone the forst time, it works perfectly. Does everyrhing I wanted it to. The customisation options are brilliant. I have enabled almost every option usually only available on higher spec models. Changed the instrument layout on the dash, added DPF monitoring, all kinds of stuff.
Paid the 1yr subscription via Paypal, went to PP website and disabled 'renew subscription' option for Carly, simple.
    Cheapest scanner I've ever used.

    • @iamcarhacker
