in Serbia, we sell a carly adapter with a cracked application (premium version) for 120e, which means that there is no annual subscription... you pay once and that's it
Thank you for the honest write up. I nearly bought this. Then I seen the OBDeleven review. Unfortunately its not much use to me either as I'd like to change some settings within the car but its a Mitsubishi L200 (2016). At least I haven't wasted money 👍

License triggered after a single attempt. 14-day cancellation right not respected. Annual subscription renewal without notice of expiry - difficult contract cancellation. To flee !
They just tried to take a 3rd subscription payment of £145.89 from my credit card today. I’ve already tried to cancel my subscription a year ago and they ignore emails. Am waiting on them responding to a second cancellation request or the threat of legal action
I wasted money on this as well. I only wanted coding and misunderstood that it was $10 more. When you go to the site to upgrade it's actually almost $70 more if not done in the original purchase. The basic is USELESS! Although it scanned the codes, it didn't display the code and instead said it would "email" the code to me.????? Ridiculous. Additionally, the code was never emailed. When you try to read the code on your phone, it asks you for more money. I basically purchased a useless piece of garbage! I already have a Foxwell for both my Jaguar and BMW that give me everything I need except coding. I have emailed them 5 times and still nothing but an automated robot response.......How are they still in business? Is this even legal?
Most people have similiar experiences but I guess no one wants to take any legal action since it is not "that much" money. And they put lot of money in marketing... I see lot of car youtubers promoting it, always ads on youtube etc...

Well I don't know if you troll or work for Carly, but I paid 149€ for Carly so I would have to continue on the 149€/year subscription since they trick you into thinking that is one-time payment by hiding the fact that you only pay for one year. And in addition the scanner is free, so they can refuse your request for money refund because you "only pay for subscription." They do indeed made it difficult to find out that it's a subscription. Shady practices indeed. I ended up purchasing something else for my car.

Glad it helped you stay away from Carly, and OBDeleven is great for BMW/VAG but not that useful for other brands.
I paid on PayPal and it did not setup a subscription through PayPal.

I never tried it but I think its good only for one car because for more brands you need to pay for each one if I remember correctly.
