I really enjoyed the train trip, especially the music (a 1950s Disney TV special; I can't remember the name) and the scenery of the Grand Canyon. It was so much fun. That gumbo looked yummy. The Matterhorn was terrifying. Thanks for taking us along. It is so cool to see you hanging out with your friends and fellow Utubers; hi Adam! The Haunted Mansion was terrific. Love The Nightmare Before Christmas scenario there. What an honor that all of you could ride on Walt's private varnish (the Victorian word for a private train car). The Pinnochio ride nailed it, just like the movie. It was outstanding. I'm so happy that Jen met Mickey.

This is really the 1st time I’ve noticed how good the footage looks from your new camera. Works very well in low-light situations. During Tiana’s, when you say it’s dark, the new cam captures it all.
If doing all Walt’s favorite things at Disneyland then did go inside Walt’s office above city hall and Main Street Fire station also did ask if can see hotel room in Frontierland/fantasyland also one inside castle! Lastly if could play basketball inside Matterhorn where tinker bell flys out of?

Seeing you both riding Pinocchio reminded me of how much people spoke about being terrified of the movie a handful of years ago. I just started posting an audiobook of it that I narrated, and I can very honestly say that the book is so much more intense. The Disney version is heavily watered down. Glad to see Jenn enjoyed her first time after the horrible flight though!
Hey Carpetbagger! So happy Jenn felt well enough to join you for my home park. Yes, the castle is tiny, but back in the 1960s when it was the only one, I still thought it was enchanted (they used it on the Walt Disney TV show too!) So glad you got to ride our Disneyland dark rides too! Alice is special, Pinocchio is great (the scariest now that they changed the Snow White - which I understand as the O.G. terrified my toddler!). But my all time favorite is Mr. Toad with the wacky pop-ups and driving into hell (hey- you can go to hell to dry off from the splash on Tiana's!) And I can’t ride Matterhorn any longer as it’s too bumpy for my old bones, but my (now adult) son rode it last time we were there and thinks it’s still fun! 😊
I'd recommend to anyone riding the matterhorn - try pulling yourself forward so your back is not touching the ride. I think it really helps. Have your son try it and let you know what he thinks.

I think the part that makes the matahorn the oldest one of is being a TUBULER steel coaster. I think previously coasters had been on traditional train tracks but matahorn just uses 2 tubes as the track. I might be wrong but thats what i've been lead to believe 🙂. Also, this video had all my favourite you tubers! You, Adam, Liz from Fresh Baked and Randomn land. Brilliant 🙂.
My 1st and last visit to Disneyland was a lifetime ago in 1977. I am sure things have changed immensely. It was the 1st trip I ever went on my own with a friend. We were 18 and knew nothing of the world. It was in the days when things weren't so scary and crazy. We went from Santa Monica to Anaheim by city bus, which took all day. When we left we took a larger hotel airport bus back and it took 20 min. We loved Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Universal Studios, etc. At Universal, the hits at the time were Six Million Dollar Man and Jaws. We did the usual touristy stuff around LA by tour bus. I would not do that adventure now.
Walt Disney was amazing. I really like the classic Disney. I grew up watching all the classic and really do not care for the modern things from Disney. I really like Disneyland better than DisneyWorld. Thank you for sharing.
😄 Oh my, I haven't been to Disneyland in over 50 years, Wow! I have heard that you need to use your legs to push yourself back into your seat on the Matterhorn. Jenny should not ride that because of her neck. I only know this because I watch Adam and Justin (and others) and look who you run into. What an awesome trio! My three favorite traveling dudes. I told my wife when I watched you two and Adam both heading for CA on the same day. Because I watch videos, I got my kids into the front of the Mono in Florida the first time I took them. Good to see Jenny out about also. She looked kind of sore after the pirate show dinner. Awesome video!

Apologies for fact checking, Walt Disney never rode the 'Lilly Belle' in its current form. The 'Grand Canyon' had passenger seats until it was converted to The LIlly Belle in 1975, first ride was Emperor Hirohito as mentioned, it also went through a massive overhaul about 15 years ago due to dry rot, hardly any original wood there, but an excellent rebuild. I was conductor during that time

Jen, I remember very vividly in the early 60s there were real people dressed as witches hiding in the corners, who threw real apples 🍎 at you and the carts were like applesauce in the bottom. That terrified a 5 yr old.😊
My days of amusement parks over thanks to poor health. But I did get to enjoy going to a lot of parks back in the day.But thank you for this channel. I enjoy it very much.
I don't think most of us mind the long videos especially when they're as much fun as this one. 🙂 That castle used to be taller then that. I went there all the time as a kid and that castle has definitely been shortened for some reason. I'm also a huge fan of the Matterhorn and we had the two sides described as the bumpy side and the greasy side. Basically one side was slower and bumped you around alot and the other was very fast so I would suggest if you want the full experience try both sides. So glad to see you all having so much fun and happy that Jen was there. I get neck issues too periodically and would normally pass up on riding Indy when my neck didn't feel good because it really does jerk your neck around alot lol but completely understandable that Jen wanted to ride it anyway.
So glad Jenn made it to Disneyland. I was worried she was going to miss it.

They were also at universal studios. That's how I found out about Jacob.

The tiana overlay of splash mountain only works half the time. Glad they got it working today for you .
Maybe some day she will get her own real ride. Once they restore the original splash mountain they can work on it .
