Quite frankly, a skeleton playing a trumpet to be very implausible, if not, impossible. In order to understand this, it is necessary to understand how a trumpet is played. The trumpet is played when the player inhales a sufficient supply of air, and forces that air through his/her lips, causing a vibration of the lips. The combination of air flow and lip vibration causes the sound to start in the mouthpiece of the trumpet. This, in turn, is amplified by that trumped itself, and the sound exits through the bell of the trumpet. Skeletons, however, lack the muscle tissue and skin to provide lips to the mouthpiece of the trumpet. Even if they did, there would have to be a sort of air supply system to bring air to the lips for them to vibrate. Skeletons have none of these. It is impossible for the skeleton to play the trumpet. That is not all that is false about revenants. A full skeletal system is comprised of about 206 bones in the adult human body. It is plainly seen in Doom that there are far less than this. The skull, hand, and trumped are suspended in space, and are not held by anything. There are no bones besides the ones in the hand and the skull to make up a proper structure that could steadily and stabally hold the trumpet. Furthermore, a properly functioning operator of a trumpet must have a way to hold the instrument. This "skull trumpet" has no tendons, ligaments, or muscles, to keep hold of the trumpet. Even if it did have these, it would require a complex system of nerves to control those muscles and tendons and ligaments. It is plainly seen that revenants lacks all of what's necessary to play the trumpet. The trumpet itself doesn't seem to be real, being that the bell expands when played. (Note that a real life trumpet's bell does not expand or retract when played) With this, I conclude that revenants cant doot.
I love it. Both this one and the original are top notch. My favorite soundtrack from Doom 2. I hope they continue using you and your talents for future games
So when I heard your Doom 1 E1M1 remix song I loved it and I was like I hope he starts doing some Doom 2 remixes and then sure enough you started doing some and I heard Doom 2 Map 7 & 19 & 29 and I loved it as well and then also heard Doom 2 Map 10 & 16 and I loved it as well. I then got to thinking I hope he does Doom 2 Map 9 and I kept waiting and waiting and waiting and it never came, but here it is finally and it's as awesome as the others and I love it. I mean I love every track you see I listed here, but Doom 2 Map 9 was always always my favorite so thank you for finally doing it and nailing it. It's awesome just like all the others.
If Bungie ever make Marathon 4 and a Marathon Trilogy Anniversary full 3D remake compilation of the original games, I hope they hire you as the composer for all of them.
FYI: This one is missing from your Doom Remakes playlist. I found myself humming this song today and hoped to see you'd remade it. What a pleasant surprise.
Bruh. I was heading back to Anor Londo because I was wondering why I hadn't obtained Emit Force yet, guessing I must've somehow not advanced Siegmeyer's questline. After killing the second Silver Knight on the roof, the music starts picking up and as I turn around to enter the stairwell, Siegmeyer just stands there and was aggro'd to me. I suppose I accidentally hit him the first time I was there and forgot about it. Anyway, so I walk away from him while he literally slow walks towards me with epic DOOM music in the background. And the moment the beat drops, he takes his first swing at me. I felt compelled to fight him at that point, shit was way too epic. lol After getting him to low health I used a bone though.
I guess the softer section near the beginning was meant to tie in the variety that the original had, but it feels the instruments used just didn't service that purpose and made that part feel like a drag that should've been a measure shorter or so. The harpsichord portion seems to really make a metallic cover of this track difficult and that's the only thing I think Andrew missed the mark on. Other than this this was great and brought plenty of variety to make up for it!
It was just announced that Mick Gordon is not going to be working on Doom Eternal's DLC. As bad as that is, I can only hope that id will find out about you and hire you.
I’m going to be nice… I know how to play a simple version of Into Sandy’s City on guitar, though it’s easy for beginners, and good to build up to getting better at guitar as well! Here’s the chords: (Note: This is primarily on the D String, if your left handed, it’s the third bottom string, if your right handed, it’s the top third string.) Starting off, you’d want to play a Open D, But only once as you then want to play the Third fret of the D String twice, But not too fast, then twice on the Eighth fret, then twice on the Seventh fret, then once on the fifth fret, and then a Open D, then play the Third fret once, then go to the Fifth fret, then back to the third fret, and finish this with the Second fret, and there, you can play Into Sandy’s City on guitar! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------- O ----- 3 ----- 3 ----- O ----- 8 ----- 8 ----- O ----- 7 ----- 7 ----- O ----- 5 ---- -O ---- -3 ----- 5 ----- 3 ----- 2 ---- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Will you do the rest of the OST too? I hope a new album is made from of them all as well, I'd buy it. I'd love to hear a new rendition of the ending/text crawl screen especially. It's one of my other favourite 3 tracks in the game and I consider it one of two themes of my old school friend. (The other is the CD version of Leela from Marathon) I think it would be the kind of song she'd like if she heard it.
This is my first one of these remakes I’m watching… and I like how on the right it looks like the demon who gets shot has green blood… and on the left a revenant is getting shot because revenants have green eyes, nice touch. Also I love the remake so much
The PreQurrent Gamer I feel this. They also reused some songs for certain maps like “The Demon’s Dead” on Map 10 and 16 (I think, I know it’s reused more than once).
@@LateNightPerson true there were a few maps in the original and the later added episode 4 that had repeat tracks. The fact that each game repeats a few tracks doesn't really bother me. I just enjoy the ost in Doom I over Doom II.

The best composer and one of the best OSTs of all time?
I've waited my whole life for this...
Lol no. Congratz on taking down the work the rest of all other composers in the world with stupid phrases like yours.
@@Willowisp927 Lol thanks. Congratz on being butthurt by someone's personal opinion on the interrnet
I love all your DOOM remakes, they are the best. You should make a Hulshult.wad ;) keep rockin!
If you download the IDKFA album on Moddb, you also have a wad to listen to this while playing ;)

Yes, thanks I know it but is not what I'm saying, slayer. And if is like synthwave with a selector will be better.
(Note that a real life trumpet's bell does not expand or retract when played) With this, I conclude that revenants cant doot.
maybe they jusst use "leather" trumpet? KappaPride
Solid argument except for one thing: we're talking about cyber daemons from hell not the regular skeletons we have inside of us so... there.

I don't remember listening to this before... Sees upload date... Ah, that explains a lot.
Your work on TAG and TAG 2 was incredible
Yeah I definitely trust this guy to be doing the DLC soundtrack
This genuinely amazing! I hope this guy composes the soundtrack for the DOOM Eternal DLC and future games.
I was like: "Whoa! What?!" ummmm, like seven times this track. Pure genius! Love it!
I love it. Both this one and the original are top notch. My favorite soundtrack from Doom 2. I hope they continue using you and your talents for future games
I have been waiting for this one for longest time
Andrew is the man for boomer shooter soundtracks. Dusk was mind blowing.
2:13 that guitar crawling out of a shallow grave and decking you in the face
I just had a good idea. Mash up the original and this remix, with the drop at 0:08 being the first shift in the song from the original to remix.
Man it's so bizarre and awesome to have known and loved Andrew's Doom covers since way before Doom and Dusk, and seeing him grow so much.
If Bungie ever make Marathon 4 and a Marathon Trilogy Anniversary full 3D remake compilation of the original games, I hope they hire you as the composer for all of them.
Congrats brother
Me: "Into Sandy's City can only be done right with a Harpsichord"

Yup, definitely music that would play in a city that's in total chaos
This is the product of years of exprience
You have this.. something that makes those remakes so badass I can't listen without headbanging!
2:15 has such a Doom 2016 feel and I love it!
FYI: This one is missing from your Doom Remakes playlist.
I found myself humming this song today and hoped to see you'd remade it. What a pleasant surprise.
Jesus this is incredible.
That cover remake is pretty fine art, I like it!
WAD replacing Doom 2 music with your remakes when?
well, he has made at least half of the soundtrack, so, soon
There's one for Doom 1, but he hasn't done all the tracks for Doom 2 yet.
I can’t wait for when the makes The Dave D. Taylor blues
Ok thats awesome and badass!
I've never paused a Doom session so fast!
Hell yeah this is the guy whos doing the ost !
2:40 and 4:17 has to be my favorite parts. Those drums.... it stands out from the other instruments lol
I played this while walking down a hallway. My footsteps felt heavier.
Still rocks hard and sounds like the original! Andrew Hulshult never dissapoints.
Holy shit dude... this is incredible! As expected from you. It's been a while but it was worth the wait
I wish to hear a version that uses Harpsichord
I know - that backing harpsichord ties the whole thing together.
One of my favorite tracks from Doom II, thanks for doing this awesome remake! :)

Man! It's just awesome! When I've listen to original one I imagined it exactly this way. Keep up good work!
It was just announced that Mick Gordon is not going to be working on Doom Eternal's DLC. As bad as that is, I can only hope that id will find out about you and hire you.
They have already worked together, he did the soundtrack for quake champions its an almost guarantee that he will be used for the dlc or next game
It's confirmed, Andrew Hulshult's working on the DLC soundtrack alongside David Levy!
Andy H.
Number one video game music composer. Congratulations on everything you've done dude. Really appreciate it 🤘
I’m going to be nice… I know how to play a simple version of Into Sandy’s City on guitar, though it’s easy for beginners, and good to build up to getting better at guitar as well!
Here’s the chords:
(Note: This is primarily on the D String, if your left handed, it’s the third bottom string, if your right handed, it’s the top third string.)
Starting off, you’d want to play a Open D, But only once as you then want to play the Third fret of the D String twice, But not too fast, then twice on the Eighth fret, then twice on the Seventh fret, then once on the fifth fret, and then a Open D, then play the Third fret once, then go to the Fifth fret, then back to the third fret, and finish this with the Second fret, and there, you can play Into Sandy’s City on guitar!

I don’t even like metal that much but i can’t stop banging my head to this
I think you will be a good replacement for Mick Gordon in next Doom games
I was not expecting another one of these Andrew, but you made my day, because this is my favorite track from Doom 2
I loved your work on Dusk and Amid Evil. Truly classic soundtracks.
This is my first one of these remakes I’m watching… and I like how on the right it looks like the demon who gets shot has green blood… and on the left a revenant is getting shot because revenants have green eyes, nice touch. Also I love the remake so much
Top shelf buttrock
Have listened to this a couple of times, man... this is so awesome...
I liked this over the OST track of this song. Personally, Doom II's OST was a lot weaker than Doom I for me because it felt a lot more repetitive.
The PreQurrent Gamer I feel this. They also reused some songs for certain maps like “The Demon’s Dead” on Map 10 and 16 (I think, I know it’s reused more than once).
@@lucasns7691 yes some tracks were used multiple times in Doom II.
@@precurrentgaming5300 Some tracks were also reused in Doom 1
@@LateNightPerson true there were a few maps in the original and the later added episode 4 that had repeat tracks. The fact that each game repeats a few tracks doesn't really bother me. I just enjoy the ost in Doom I over Doom II.
I didn't want them to replace mick gordon, but since they did, you were clearly the best choice
will you ever do a Doom II soundtrack remake?
God I’ve been waiting for this
Sweet! Does this mean we'll get an IDKFA2 album of Doom 2 tracks soon? Can't wait to hear the endgame remix! Your work in DUSK and Nightmare Reaper is awesome too. I'm yet to install Amid Evil.
Mick and Robert would be proud. I think you, Rob and Mick could design and bring us the Doom Soundtracks we deserve.

You're back with the rest of the Doom II soundtrack!!! I've been waiting for this for years. It'd be awesome if you could do all the entire soundtrack. Nobody can beat you in this, man!
I have hope for this guy and the doom eternal dlc 1 soundtrack.
