yo I saw doom the dark ages trailer and the music sounded generic, honestly super bad wish ID wasn't such an ass to Mick in the first place we could've gotten another great masterpiece
@@NotCryosin I disagree to an extent on the fact it's "Generic". I don't believe it is. However, it does feel less epic and grandiose with no choir and less electronic elements but at the same time, it's logical due to the time period. I do expect more from the soundtrack, like a choir needs to be used again and in a much greater scale Edit: I do agree about Mick's situation with them. It would've been marvelous to hear another Soundtrack for Doom from him
I like this a lot more than BFG division... and its sad that this isnt any longer, it really just feels like a doom track but its just the intro of it repeating over and over.
And that's a good thing,I understand that some find it overrated but that shouldn't stop that from bfg division getting the respect it deserves, bfg division is a way better song that this and this is good, but bfg division will defeat it easily
@@fonkat8192 Mick failed to meet deadlines, and they had to push it out. Lot of people only listened to Micks side, but shit happens. Contractually it was Mick Gordon’s fault, obviously everyone would have liked properly mixed music, but it all turned out fine.
"Sandy City" in all its variations is such a forward pushing piece of music, it's magnificent. One of the best form DOOM Soundtracks over the course of all DOOM Games.
And what Mick never got to finish the song. All he ever made was this cycle for it as an idea. It was cut. He wasnt paid for it and then it appeared without warning in the OST. or just makes me wonder how much awesome content gets produced and is only ever hears by the musician and producer.
I just beat icon of sin on nightmare A few days ago. Many attempts, all added up. And holy crap I can't even beat level 1 on ultra nightmare. God bless

I wonder how many people on all DOOM videos who diss Marty Stratton and worship Mick Gordon, still give their money to Bethesda and id Software. Obviously Marty Stratton wins, as the cash is flowing and that is all that matters at the end of the day.
I actually uninstalled Eternal a month after release when id snuck rootkit keylogging malware into the 30-day update that stayed on computer after uninstalling the game, and I haven't played since. I've been the biggest Doom fan since the 90's but id lost my good graces way before the whole Mick Gordon controversy came out.
Question, where do you get the clips from, for example, the guy with the hazmat focused, or the async crip on the outside? If you have more clips, upload them please.
this is just me, but everytime i play doom, i just go straight biblical😂 "YOU FORSAKEN SOULS ARE NO MATCH WITH THE GLORY OF THE ALMIGHTY"😭 *proceeds to bonk demon head into torso*
A little bit too repetitive IMO. I can see why they didn't use this, but I feel like if the composer had spent more time on it, it would've been great. They were on to something with this but not quite there.

Mick Gordon: That's the point

How's this obviously better? Bfg has layers and more complex guitar works. Tf?? Don't be nostalgic and delusional bro.
This OST was rejected by Marty Stratton the executive producer of Doom Eternal and the current studio director for Id software.
All the things they did to Mick Gordon will be their doom, ironically.
I'm convinced marty has a thing with mick at this point
Mr Stratton was dumb to reject this track
I bet he is a friend of tim willits.

I will never forgive Marty Stratton for this. Should’ve been in the game.
Bethesda needs a first-hand introduction to the DOOM Slayer for what they did to Mick
this was supposed to play after defeating the icon of sin..
im sad now
Me too man...
Oh, I thought it was for the boss fight.
boutta pull a heist to get into ID software and get the full track, cause this **is that good shit**
the loop is nicely done, unforunate that the original sample is so short though
Yeah man, it also sucks that it got cut from the game.

i assume there's no way to make this feel less like a " *song* but it never starts" seeing how little things you get out of this song, right?
Yeah
The credits should have rolled to this song.
This was Mick Gordons idea, but sadly this masterpiece got rejected. :(
And you will be their saviour. Your strength; their shield. Your will; their sword. You remain unbroken. For your fight… Is… Eternal…
This is rage incarnite, and I love it
Wait until you hear they were going to put this song at the end of the game, but the higherups refused.
