    So lovely to see you painting again. Such a beautiful painting Amanda. I too have stopped painting now and have lost my mojo to pick up a brush for 18 months. But watching you paint had inspired me to start again. 👏👏👏👏😍😍

    I stopped painting when I got divorced and had to get a real job. I moved to a place filled with artists and no one to buy my work. Last month I got out ten of my pieces to show to my family, grand daughters son and his second wife. After a 20 year sabbatical I may start again. I was interested to see that my several different styles all were liked by different members of my family. I had an abstract that I had forgotten I’d painted and I loved it. Some of my work is similar to your pieces and I find you influential. Thank you.

      @@amandaspencerartist I’m here for that! Looking forward to watching them.
      I’ve done mixed media pieces, but it’s been acrylics with collage - I love this watercolour over pattern. I’m off to rummage in my homemade collage papers >>>>
      Btw, I’m following you on Instagram too. x

      @@xVentax ah, thank you! Some of my acrylic work is on my Instagram, although I must admit I have neglected my Instagram account for years, so am only just paying it some attention. I have tended to put more on my Facebook page. Anyway, have a great rummage! 😘

    What is pea glue?

  • @fmcgarry9449
    @fmcgarry9449 Год назад +1

    Hi Amanda, when applying the collage do you apply the glue to the collage and then stick it down or do you apply to the paper. Just worried that if I apply to the paper and it’s not completely covered by the collage the glue will act as resist?

    • @amandaspencerartist

      Hey Fran, sorry for delay! I glue the collage and put to paper and then pat it down with the glue brush and you re correct that dry glue will resist 🙂

    Amanda, would you mind listing materials, or at least paint colors used (possibly brand too)? This helps me as viewer to focus on your process rather than rush to make notes. Thanks very much. Your paintings are interestingly both loose and defined, in a nice balance.
