Soooooo helpful!!! Have multiples of every artifact now( thanks to my otter) and ready to take down some bosses!! In my opinion, hands down, this is the BEST “strategy guide” out there for The Island caves. Covers EVERYTHING, while also not being over an hour long!! Way to keep it very informative, yet short and to the point!! Also can’t underestimate the effort put in to time stamp everything!! GREAT work!!!!

I like that you show the paths for people, but I disagree with some of your dino choices! I would have recommended a Bary medium or high level for Clever, Hunter, Pack, and Massive. Thyla or Saber are great for Devourer since you don't really need to dismount for jumping off, just have minimum of 5k health on them and decent damage. All you need for Immune is a couple sets of SCUBA, a Cryopod, and a Megatherium with about 10k health. You can totally run both of the water caves with Sarcos too as they are really fast and can retreat to land if needed. (Basis are definitely easier though!) Strong is so much easier with a Yuti (or a Rex if you don't mind waiting on cryo cooldowns), you just need to make sure you have min 20k health on your fluffy boi. His fear roar will scare the Purlovia out of their holes and make the Monkeys and Wolves run away while you kill the bears with knockback. I've never been able to get Skylord's artifact to spawn in on SP. Maybe that's just me, but thought it might be nice to mention. If you are allowed to build in caves, a couple nicely placed platforms in Immune and Massive will make life a little easier. And lastly, you don't even need to take the water route in Pack. Bring a Saber or Bary and scale the wall above the glowing crystals in the water by the ruins (or grapple). Those criticisms aside, I really wish this video was available when I started playing Ark back in 2019, I hated some of the caves only because I got lost so many times and the videos available were frustrating because the caves weren't cleared out and I kept getting turned around! You were super clear and strait to the point!
Good Video, I would Suggest using a Megatherium for most of the Caves. Most Dinos ignored them and theres so many bugs in the Caves they will have they're Buff most of the time. In the caves that require jumps and crouch spots.. just Cryo or build a bridge. You can make little Bridges in the Lava Cave so making it very easy. Also in the Lava Cave you should keep it on Passive. Cause you dont want it to chase something into the Lava. Also a Sarco for the Water Caves works well.. it can out swim everything in the Water. Also it can just go onto Land when you being chased by all the Sharks. Our Tribe use to just Leave a Bed and a Vault near the Artifact. Just bed hop there once in a while and store up a lot of Artifacts.. then come later with a Otter to collect them all.
@@Leonalayja just bring a like a few foundations and ceilings maybe a couple of pillars too. you can make little bridges that go over the Lava. the Megatherium can not jump so you gotta get creative. Even if you have a dino that can Jump.. Ark is so glitchy sometimes you end up falling into the lava.. so I found making little bridges the best way for me.
In Upper South Cave(iirc, how confusing, lol) I kept getting so turned around that I spent several nights in the old building area and made friends with a megalosaurus. 😂
artifact of the pack: there's an quicker way to grab the artifact, by taking in some grappling hooks in with your crossbow down to the end of the path to waters edge just the ruins. if you look closely you'll see a triangular formation in the wall about half way up it. you can just fire in a grappling hook and reel yourself in. there'll be a couple bats and titanoboas up there, but once those are dealt with you have a clear run to the artifact. no need to traverse the underwater tunnels which are easy to get lost in. you should be in and out of that cave in like 2 minutes. Great artifact vid. I'm not a big fan of the caves. Haven't been to one in a long time.
snow cave is really easy with a rex, purlovias can't dismount you and you only need to use a cryopod in 2 places

good shotguns are most important. you can also uncryo animals behind the barrier.
This is off topic but how do you get a Rex saddle blueprint mastercraft and higher?
The Island swamp cave and the hard underwater cave do have blueprints. Same goes for certain Lootdrops on Genesis 2.
