Just been told by two respected plumbers that Amtrol isn't making their tanks like they used to. Some fiberglass ones are just as good, if not better now.
If you mean your pressure switch if switching on and off rapidly, it’s a sign your pressure tank has failed. You can check the valve at the top of the tank, if water comes out it means your tank failed. You can temporarily add some air with a bicycle pump to hold you over

What if my tank keeps turning on and off? Does that mean its not getting enough pressure?
