One problem I’ve noticed is that when you do the sound test, you up the throttle without upping the rpm target. The engine won’t actually rev up unless you increase the rpm target to wherever you want it to rev to, or just click the PULL button
Supercharged small engines should not be a thing qmd they aren't in the mass production world. Supercharging is not just a task for you, but the engine too. Small engines benefit more from almost "free" power from turbos than the large friction devices called superchargers. Don't get me wrong, I like superchargers but not on tiny engines
When you want to test the engine you need to raise the RPM Target. Otherwise it will stay low on a pull. Or you can set the Throttle on 100% and play with the RPM slider.
I mean, it's probably better than the 600cc compound turbo i3 with 0 can profile I made.. because for some reason it redused to make any power of I went high can profile.
You basically build a UAV engine. Absolute light weight, way to expensive to go in a car, exotic fuel choice and super high frequency noise that will dissipate over short distances, thus increasing the drones stealth. The only issue is you mounted it in a Balkan shit box lol
Maybe a series where chat chooses an IRL car, and you develop 3 different motors for it from tuned OE to OTT. ie: Miata NA was voted. Engine 1 would be the stock 1.8 with boost or cammed/stroked. Engine 2 could be a 1.0L superbike motor. Engine 3 could be a 5.0L v8. Export to BeamNG and lap all 3 versions around a track to see which one is fastest or suits the car the best.
I would also like to add that when tuning you should be looking at the 4 graph mode to help show where your air flows and fuel map sit. It helps a lot to be able to see where your restrictions are, and you van only see the turbo/Supercharger efficiencies in that mode iirc
yeah he had like 25% flow utilization on all measurements but didn't restrict any of them further (which would have helped move the power band into the usable rev range).
Compressed gas does happen to get the best thermal efficiency, but nitro makes the most power. Octane rating is just how much compression the fuel can handle before it self-ignites; it has nothing to do with stored energy.
6:28 just a random thought, but in pretty sure thise headers have less width than a metal straw. that that size pipe would probably be hard to sorce irl..
after some fiddling, I arrived at 41.3 hp and 24.5 Nm crank: billet steel, conrods: titanium, pistons: forged light, balancing mass 50, quality 15 comp: 11.1:1, cam profile 100, springs and lifters 0, rpm limit 12k, vvt all cams, quality 15 sc, single, 280 hp intercooler, centrifugal, clutch, comp size 31.4mm, ratio 15.40, tuning 2, boost 0.75 bar, quality 15 injection, multi point efi, per cylinder, fuel map 44, timing 100, quality 15 nitromethane, nm90, race, manifold size 62 tubular long, header size 21, single exh, 9.52mm, no cat, no mufflers, -15 quality works by the narrowest of margins
I have been having a blast with the alpha, although some of the mid-engined body styles are bugged right now and almost nothing can fit in the engine bay
It's crazy how little you understand about Automation being an Automation youtuber man, there's so much stuff you could've done to make the engine viable. Also, when you try out the engine you have to bring up the "RPM Target" slider for the engine to rev up and hear what it sounds like.
Congrats on kid 2! Apart from the sound, this is quite impressive! An engine with the displacement of 2 shot glasses (well, 2 1/2. :) ) making 30 hp is wild!
I think you should do an economy performance sedan 200-300 horsepower 2.0 L - 2.5 L turbo Another idea would be a performance built hatchback 150-250 horsepower 1.4-1.8 L turbo After that, another suggestion would be a sports sedan 250-400 horsepower 2.5-2.8 L I4 turbo Or 3.0 - 3.7 L supercharged
76cc Twincharger is possible, it gives you 60HP and 36NM 30/32/5 0/2.1 for the variable ball bearing turbo and 200/1.6/16/2.0 for an clutched roots supercharger. maybe you can squeeze a little more
Surely a turbo would be better, superchargers are driven by the crank. A supercharger with way more cc than the engine would provide significant parasitic losses over any hp gains, surely?
Supercharged chainsaws should be a thing
Yes! Someone NEEDS to do this! Maybe even a turbo leaf blower, where the leaf blower spins the turbine?
I will make one in high school
Not if they sound like THAT
should be easy to make the highest mpg car now
Dude to actually hear your engines press the PULL button
One problem I’ve noticed is that when you do the sound test, you up the throttle without upping the rpm target. The engine won’t actually rev up unless you increase the rpm target to wherever you want it to rev to, or just click the PULL button
Real
He did the same thing last time and it drove me up the wall a little lol
This

thanks, this made me reallly mad XD
sounds fast, goes slow.
now put a tiny v16 in it.
good idea
When I had a working computer I put a 1.5L v8 in a kei car. Now I wanna put a 1/6th scale V10 engine in a kei car
"let's do a pull" **doesn't click the obvious pull button**
also increases throttle but doesn't increase desired rpm
I think this guy might have brain damage.
When you want to test the engine you need to raise the RPM Target. Otherwise it will stay low on a pull. Or you can set the Throttle on 100% and play with the RPM slider.
@9:50
400hp per litre. Certainly the highest state of tune ever for a car like that. 😂
ive slowly been tuning my own engine of the same size. So far its at 54.1hp so 711.8 hp per litre.
I mean, it's probably better than the 600cc compound turbo i3 with 0 can profile I made.. because for some reason it redused to make any power of I went high can profile.
@@Chris-qr3qh is that on nitromethane? i've gotten the 76cc engine up to 39hp with compound turbos on e85. the torque curve is horrendous tho
@@eldinmuller7698 Yeah its on nitromethane. Messed with it some more and got it to 58hp so around 763 hp/litre
75cc is a cube with sides of ~4 centimetres, for reference
So it’s like one of those mini engines that those people build that cost around the same price as a real engine of that size? 😂
And 1000cc is a cube with sides of 10cm, wait something seems off here
@@supertornadogun1690 it's the cylinder size, not the block size.

The engine sounds like a dental drill.
A supercharged... go-kart engine?
Btw congrats on second child on the way, and happy new year!
Sounds like a Trabant with a dentist's drill for a supercharger haha
The fully equipped Temu Bugo Luxus Sport...

Bro is accidentally farming interactions with the extremely minor "pull" mistake (myself included)
Yeah... People really love to point out mistakes
This is basically a really efficient shop air compressor. If you took the boost and let it out instead of back into the engine
5:15 increase the intercooler it helps
You can finally make Go-Kart engines
Not till we can make two-strokes.
Centrifugal superchargers were done dirty on export.
sounds like a dental drill at times

yeah he had like 25% flow utilization on all measurements but didn't restrict any of them further (which would have helped move the power band into the usable rev range).
It would be cool to increase the possible RPM on automation
You said nitro is the best fuel, but I think compressed gas gets more power, since it has a significantly higher AKI than any of the other fuels
Also, throttle doesn't do much if your RPM target is set at idle
Compressed gas does happen to get the best thermal efficiency, but nitro makes the most power. Octane rating is just how much compression the fuel can handle before it self-ignites; it has nothing to do with stored energy.
Try tuning the manifold and headers, better flow will give you more power

6:24 lol my 77cc moped makes almost triple that horsepower
Theres a legend here in finland of a guy with a 40cc engine making 15hp
Is it a two stroke?
@@rawhidelamp yeah
@ToiletBowl-fi5vm i think there are also a few 70cc's making 30 or sum like that
Looks like BeamNG needs a higher rev limit for small engines.
Also a 100cc i4 would be neat.
The rpm target is what’s screwing the sound test, gotta give it a little throttle then crank up the rpm target or just click the pull button
The engine produces about 400hp per liter, more than koenigsegg standards 😂
I think you should do an economy performance sedan
200-300 horsepower

Happy new year man
The ear bleeding sound is more the centrifugal super versus the rev limit. Anything with a centrif is ear-rapingly loud.
I liked this video a lot! I hope you make more!
I love him. Thank you for blessing my ears
You can change the volume of the forced induction separately in the audio section of BeamNG.
What about the next engine would be the best sounding engine now that the update brought the turbo and supercharger.
It would be funny to see you trying to build a car that is fast with this engine
Click the Pull button to hear the RPMs go up instead of the throttle, when you do only the throttle, it does nothing...
sounds like youre torturing a small hamster under the hood or something 😂😂
that engine in beam ng sounds like a really angry housecat
Happy new year🎉
Please use multichart. Tuning isn't difficult, but it's definitely impossible if you're doing it blind
That engine is pushing about 394hp per liter

Sounds like an angry cat on startup
you can get that engine up to about 42-43 hp, but it takes some time.
I got it to 53,9hp with nitro and a screwcharger
@@mrsnoopy7557 thanks for the tip, I have got it up to 58.1hp
Yoo, wsp!! 30 seconds, already here LOL
Your amazing Automotiveflux
Edit: also supercharge the magnum opus!
I wanna see how much power you can get from a 1000cc inline 4 if you ever get the chance
The bugo is getting too powerful
and it's as fast as pigeon with 550cc engine
I'm sure you forgot to place the engine model into the vehicle before exporting it out. 😉
Shit! Here i was planning to go to sleep and now i gotta go play automation 😂
You need to increase the rpm target for the engine to actually rev
the big bore i just did on my childhood z50r over the weekend was only 72cc so this 3 cylinder is huge in my books ;)
Ay wazup bro. Jow do you get the superchargers?
Opt into the alpha on steam
@automotiveflux thx bro!
How do you get your odometer working in beamng, mine shows ----
PLEASE when you rev the engine, max out the RPM target slider
When you need a wastegate for your supercharger
Surely a turbo would be better, superchargers are driven by the crank. A supercharger with way more cc than the engine would provide significant parasitic losses over any hp gains, surely?
how did you get a supercharger
I was able to get 150hp out of a 10ci (163cc) engine using the compound turbos! That’s WITHOUT nitromethane too
Less power = more gears
RC car ass engine LOL but very interesting
happy new year everyone
Now I WANT THE BIGGEST STUPIDEST THING POSSIBLE
394 hp per LITER btw 😳
Basically u made one of those moped cars
At max rpm its equivalent to a jet engine at idle lol
Have a Bugo New Year!!! :)
Do a fuel and mileage test mod it without the supercharger
sounds like an electric shit box
smallest engine with the biggest twincharge
how bout a miniature classic V8 engine? 1960s/1970s tech, sub-500cc, like a 1/10th scale Ford 302 V8.
That's a bike engine at most lol
High hp 3 cylinder vid please
Still room for improvement. Managed to squeeze 50 hp out of a 76cc engine. Let me know if you want to know what I did :)
I fot 53,9hp
@mrsnoopy7557 Only supercharged or twin?
@@landervanlijsebetten4527 only SC, couldnt really get turbos to work

Try to make an absolute rev monster. As in 20k rpm. And put it in a gokart or some type of f4 car.
U should do biggest turbo and smallest engine (commenting this before the video so idk if u did it)
Now the do the narrowest engine
Sounds like the Jetsons car
Please for the love of god watch the devlog videos on how to tune a supercharger
Wdym Bro put the Nitro Rc swap in his Bugo😳
we need higher compression
76cc isn't even that small, a lot of cheap scooters use 50cc engines
The Lightest Car Record ( its Gonna be a V6 tho )
Absolutely abysmal 😂
