Why can't the third knife in the video be searched on Amazon?
That link doesn't work.
My Osborne hasn’t left my pocket since the day I bought it it’s awesome.
Same here I got the auto Osborne in the green with purple spacer few weeks ago, but I thought it was called the Osborne cuz of the green goblin color scheme lmfaoo🤣
Love mine, gotta say I just couldn’t live without it
I recently picked up a barrage
I either carry the benchmade Osborne 940 or the microtech ultra (I’m not saying that because the video mentioned it) and the CRKT scribe.
Same.
All beautiful tools, but shame only one is under $200.
You pay for what you get
@@Thyunknownrising inflation is what you get. Even D2 edc’s are overpriced. Idk what world you’re living in but it sounds nice.
@@deejay2793 bought a spyderco para 2 at age 17, carried it everyday since im 22 now, ive beat tf out of it used it as a prybar/screwdriver/hammer/wedge etc. almost daily. Its still true and sharp ofc i sharpen it but its never failed me. Ill spend another 260$ for one anyday, before the para 2 ive owned alot of “good brand” cheapers knives and theres a reason why i stuck with my para2
@@Thyunknownrising that’s awesome & the pm2 is great. I prefer the bhq exclusive shaman, but generally I go with benchmade. For a beater I use a dpx hest which hasn’t let me down yet. An s30 with g10 knife just really shouldn’t be at the price point they’re at. I mean great action & tight pivot help make a good knife too & mechanics come into it. I’ve never owned a Chris Reeve but I think you can get that quality for a little le$$. Lol, I also would probably never use it if I paid for it. Thanks for your input & opinion bro. Keep on collecting! Wait till you get into autos & otfs.
@@deejay2793 i would have autos/otfs if i could carry them but i live in the shit state of CA and you cant carry them if their blades are over 2.5inches
I'd still choose the Benchmade Griptilian over the 940. That satisfying SWACK sound when you open it.
Microtech is beautiful, even from the video you can see how much nicer it is than the clones. And it’s only about 8 times the price!
They are worth, I've had mine about 2 years and it's the best I've owned
@@screm1994 it’s sad, in my country they are of course illegal because if you open the knife with a spring it’s more likely to cause a stabbin, and microtech I doubt would ship it here, but the clone guys no problems. Mind you there is up to 2 years hard labour for importing a crap Chinese otf copy.
@@gruffnutz Which country?
@@Lugh444 I live in a land of regulation for my own safety. I call it the protected walled and moated Southern Hemisphere playground and asylum for the careful. Others refer to it as “The Australia”
Having had good clones and the real deal... Good clones are damn close. My clones actually have smoother actions too. Microtech doesn't do much to make the action smooth. I prefer my recon 035.
Spyderco para 2 super fan for life! Best pocket knife ever made.
Para 2 is a useful and also fun knife.
PM2. Para3 and both awesome
I still have my Syderco Police model I carried every day for over 20 years. Great knife also..
Paramilitary 2 is hands down the greatest hard use knife I have ever owned.
Challenge: show us five decent US-made knives under a hundred bucks.
Can’t, US actually pays people for their labor.
@@bmcrider34considering that they’re asking for one under a hundred I think you might be wrong there
@@umbra880 out of the five in the video? No they arenr
@@bmcrider34 sometimes
@@alnabulsi313 compared to the rest of the world our minimum wage is wealthy. Perspective!
I have the Paramilitary 2 and it is an absolute beast of a blade. Use it for everything from slicing and breaking down packages to neat cutting work
PM2 stays with me at all times and I rotate other knives. Most people I know carry gas station knives. When we pocket check they have no clue what I'm carrying but somehow the shape of a Spyderco automatically gets praise. Sebenza goes way over people's heads, especially the price. Automatics like the godson are crowd pleasers!
Fun fact the Chris Reeves Sebenza knife is made here in Idaho, but hooooly cow are they absolutely elusive to get your hands on. I would love to get one
I guess you've never heard of Oz Roosevelts huh? 🤣 Try to get one of them!
A lot of places have them in stock. Check out knifejoy or recon1
I finally bought a couple of CRK’s thinking I won’t feel like buying more folding knives. Damn. I was wrong again😂
the protech godson looks so nice its not to pricey and (i wouldn't know because i dont own any protechs) most people say the actions on protechs are great plus i really like the minimalistic modernized stiletto design on it
Love my PM2
A Benchmade 940 has been on my xmas wishlist for years....
Kershaw is my number 1 edc. You can get some very amazing products for under 50 dollars. They may be laughed at for not being one of the "high end" names but their blades definitely hold upto anything. They also have a major advantage. If you lose your knife or ruin it by cutting something you shouldn't have it's fine.
Idk how to explain it but Kershaw is absolutely the best bang for your buck. Even if they were twice the price this would be true. Right now you can go to your local Walmart and buy a nice sized assisted open for like 30 dollars. That blade will last you a very long time.
I would agree with this. I own 2 of Kershaw's more high-end knives with the Launch 11 and Launch 3 and I think I paid $110 for each and they're easily as nice as any more "premium" auto knives I've handled and both have lasted through years of hard use as my EDC and when I finally did break the blade on my Launch 3 after about 3 years of abuse, it was only a couple weeks before Kershaw perfectly warrantied my knife and had it back rocking in my pocket.
I got a couple Kershaws recently and i actually love them. Definitely one of my new favorite brands now.
I carried a Kershaw Ken Onion Boa for years, was my favorite until I received my Benchmade Barrage
I have a kershaw blur with 440A steel I use for work everyday. The only downside is the blade needs to be sharpened once a week. I had a civivi cogent with 14c28n steel I used at the same job needed sharpened every 3 months or so. The type/quality of steel makes a huge difference. These 2 knives were the same price.
I've got about half a dozen Hotwires ever since I heard they were discontinued. Possibly the best basic pocket knife you could own. Dirt cheap, simple steel, solid assisted open.
PM2 is one of the best knives I have ever owned
Spyderco Manix 2 is my favorite. I'd love to see a pm2 with the same lock.
You should check out fearless knives. They make switchblades with a cast shell not cnc so it's a lot cheaper, I've had one for a couple years now and all I've had to do is sharpen it because I whittled with it and cut a lot of cardboard with it and retighten a screw (which was my own fault).
*I hate the shape of (most) Spyderco blades.*
*They look so derpy.*
i agree, they look too triangular. and its weird shape prevents it from looking cool and intimidating.
I like that Spyderco paramilitary 2 …
Good list but they are all pretty pricey. Maybe divide the list into 3 or 4 categories depending on price.
Love my spyderco. My dad gave it to me as a gift when I was younger (because he knew it was my favorite of his collection). It's still very sharp to this day.
I have the tuxedo godson, definitely top 3 in my collection
Spyderco and microtech make up almost 80% of my knives lol
I have the benchmade 940 and the spiderco para2 and can without a doubt say the spyderco is the better everyday carry. Now the 940 is a great knife don’t get me wrong it’s probably better for someone that is a bit harder on knives. The tonto blade is great for heavy duty prying and is an all around rugged knife, however the spyderco is easier for your everyday guy to keep sharp and clean. You can’t go wrong with either truly but after carrying both for a year the spyderco is my go to. Cheers
You are drunk. 940 SHITS on a para 2.... Para 2 is outdone by the para 3.... PM2 is good not great. There are 3 4 things that are Goofy at best.
A knife is not a pry bar…
Top 5 more please
💯 percent agreed! 👍🏾👍🏾
That last knife is one I just learned
I'd be proud to carry any one of those beauties
Cheapest is probably the PM2 at $180-$200
@@zabper57Osbourne is only a couple bucks more depending on where you get it. Got mine for $207.
I've got an Osborne 910. They are severely underrated knives.
My XL hands hate compression locks and the dreaded lock stick of the Para 2 sadly
The green goblin stopped fighting Spider-Man and started selling knives
Love my 940, but I got 2 custom made crooked rivers (full size) and it’s honestly the perfect knife in my opinion. Truly a work of art, and absolutely timeless. The wood scales are beautiful.
I just got my first Benchmade last week, a custom Crooked River with an S90V blade. It's probably gonna be the only knife I carry until the day I die.
I have the BHQ PM2 in M4 and it’s been with me for almost 5 years now
I've had a 942 since the year they launched. Fantastic EDC. Slim enough to carry easily, but has enough blade to be useful in a variety of situations. I just want this configuration in a better steel. 154CM is good, but it has definitely been surpassed. I have yet to see the black aluminum handle scales paired with a partially serrated, uncoated blade since the 942 model was taken off the shelves. I don't think you can even get that combo in the Customize area on Benchmade's site, unless I missed something.
That Aussie knife is fine
I wish I could find a black Ultratech in stock
NC blade has some, pvk Vegas, Knifejoy.. they are everywhere man. The market is flooded right now
Spydiechef 🎉
Besides the Sebenza and the Ultratech (I have a UTX-85) those are all on my list!
Solid list 🤙🏻
Spyderco literally says made in Japan on the box but alright even tho it is brought from Colorado it starts in Japan 😮
Only the VG10 knives are made in Japan. Some are US made.
In the forums back in the day they said flipping out a Sebenza like that voided the warranty. 👈
This is a solid top 5 for folding knives overall.
Everything here is the standard and bar of what it does.
If you have all of these as a (knife collector) this is a grail catalog
Yayyyy I’m grail catalogue collector. I use and kick the crap out of most my knives but I have all of these and many more! Thinking of changing my channel to a edc channel.
I have 4 out of the 5 of them. All except for the 3rd one.
Buck 110, Folding Hunter. Quality American made.
Love a Benchmade, but that Microtech is badass.
As a Coloradoan I wanted to pick a spyderco over my benchmade 940 but that thing just always finds it’s way into my pocket while doing tough work. My bugout and other spydercos are great for daily tasks though!
All of These knifes Beutys! Thx
Benchmade 940 all day, everyday. The Para 2 is amazing as well considering its price.
Idk why I was expecting him to pull out a KA-BAR
Para 2 is the only one worth the money even then they could sell them for $120 and still make money.
I also add Hinderer XM-18
He flicked the sabenza 😂
I agree with this list 100%
I received Pro Tech 2 the new version in Magncut it arrived on Sunday to my surprise Sunday 🎉🎉🎉 this way like Blade HQ
Para 2 in s45 vn is the only pocket knife I’ve had that will process game from bear to waterfowl, even quail. It takes a beating and stays sharp, it works well for food prep, it’s easy to get an edge back on it with diamond stones, it is buttery smooth, it’s USA made, it’s comfy damn near any way you grip it. If I wasn’t a huge outdoorsman I wouldn’t even need an esee which is my go to for fixed blades. If I wasn’t a fireman and need a multi tool I wouldn’t have a leatherman skeletool. If you’ve struggled to find the knife that fits you do yourself a favor save yourself the next 2 $150 knife purchases and buy that para 2 in s45 or cruwear, then after about a month you’ll buy another just so you’ve got an extra if you ever wear that fucker out from using the hell out of it on shit you shouldn’t simply because it’ll take it and keep on going with some slaps on a diamond stone. And might I add I can use this bastard hard for a week, maybe 5 passes on the stone, 20 licks on a ceramic and strop it on Sunday and it’ll shave your balls. 5 minute sharpening jobs folks good for a week of hard use, a month of moderate use. And I really don’t think some of you get what I mean by hard use, that week i speak of is a damn gold medal for this knife.
I so badly want a Microtech ultratech but sadly OTF knives are illegal in Canada
I want that Aussie knife. I’m a lefty so the ambidextrous switch is perfect
I love my spyderco. despite how good it is and how well it holds an edge and easy to sharpen. it chips so easily. a pain
Tis the curse of hardened steels.
Love this
Top 5 really deserved.
Why does Spyderco sell their knives with the pocket clip in a tip-down position?
I’ve got the first 4 out of 5 myself. I’d have to agree with this video in terms of production knives 👍🏻
My dog loved this video
Sebenza still a grail in chasing 😂
I like very first knife 🔪
Was that the small Sebenza?
All awesome brands 🤤
I have the Osborne. Only knife I’ll ever need.
I have the second one
What the name of the 3rd knife
More rare but Oz Machine Roosevelts are top tier American made but super hard to get.
I want that
Never bring a knife to a gun fight.
Most EDC people don’t look at knives as being used for self defense but just tools. And yes a gun should always be part of your EDC.
I had a 940 when I was a kid and it was black and looked alot like that's one
Unless your willing to shell out money all the time to get it tuned, the Micro Tech Ultratech is not a good choice for carry everyday. It will get constantly gummed up with dirt and grime and ultimately not function well.
Just take it apart and clean it yourself. I personally prefer Protech. Great knives for the money.
@@butchcassidy3373 if your fully capable of taking it apart all the time and back together you'll know that microtech uses incredibly proprietary screwes, worse than apple. It's not easy to get a hold of the tool.
Thanks for the heads up. Was about to get one but will now pass on it.
@@mr.highschoollocksmith6080yep, and they don't like people working on their own knives. They really are the apple of the knife scene. Overpriced for the logo. Not even the best OTF's anymore.
American knifemaker challenge: make something good thats not more than my rent payment (and get some more brands besides buck and kershaw in stores)
The Pro-Tech godson I'll take four with custom colors and custom and custom Engraving
100% d'accord avec vous.
The Taichung Spydercos are by far the best
I love them all❤❤❤
What's ur opinion on the micro tech socom elite?
940 Oborne all day
Sniper Bladeworks KCMO is another could be in that group- reviewed by a actual American thats survived knife fight altercations
I want to get a switchblade so badly, but I live in Illinois which has a bunch of stupid laws that make switchblades sound like their only purpose is to kill someone
I like my guardian tactical as much as the Microtech.
You better check your state laws before making the microtech ultratech your EDC knife.
Nice, I technically have 4 of the 5 and I mean technically. I have a
UTX 85, Para 3, godson and a small Inkosi. 2 of the 4 are the small versions and the Inkosi used to be called a Sebenza 25... So technically I have 4 of 5 lol
Is Camillus a good knife brand?
Why can't the third knife in the video be searched on Amazon?
Im surprised a CRKT didnt make the list
What no kershaw launch 1?
I have an auto Osborne and the only problem I’ve had is the pocket clip has lost its integrity. Still works but it slipped out of my pocket once and I almost lost it. Haven’t been carrying it much since.
You can pull the clip off and retention it very easily with some pliers. Clips bend, it happens. They'll bend back.
Bro...Medford should have been in there somewhere!!!....
Do they make left handed knifes for the last one?
Yes
Love that Godfather..... I have to have one at some point.
how to buy
