I actually remember having this as a kid and getting it for Christmas of... 93, I believe. I played with it for a while, and had it for a long time but then the T-1000's arm broke. It couldn't punch anymore. Then, I think we either gave it away to my cousin or trashed it.. Unfortunate, the fate of some toys go.
Indeed! The way we were with our toys, if one of the characters broke we probably would have taken the unbroken one off the ring, and he'd still be hanging around the bottom of the toy box at my parents' house, haha.

As far as Twitter is concerned - I'm guessing that's how I've found at least 60% of my audience... just diligently searching Twitter for people professing their love for T2, haha. Most people are happy to have the show shared with them... but I've had like two or three people get huffy with me, like it's an insult to share free entertainment with them. They see to think I'm trying to solicit something, which is funny to me, because I'm not making a nickel from this show. On the contrary: I've actually spent a lot of money to make it, haha. But I'm fine with that, because it's purely a passion project for me. It's the single most fulfilling creative outlet that I've ever had, and my ONLY goal for the show is to bring Terminator fans together and entertain people. And kind comments like yours are what fuel the show, so thank you for all of the wonderful feedback today!

Another fantastic episode as always, Uncle Casey! This was an episode I was looking forward to seeing for a while now. But wait... when are we getting an episode on the T2 Crayon By Number set? I don't remember that and now I want to see it explored first hand!
As for my T2 Final Battle toy memories, I only saw it once when I was a kid at the FAO Schwartz in NYC. The box was a little too big and I remember wanting it, but not getting it. But, rest assured, my parents bought me basically every T2 toy I could want. I then saw it again a few years back at a toy show. It was a little pricey and, after just shelling out some cash for Superman stuff, it was out of my reach. And, as luck would have it, that was the Final time I saw the Final Battle toy.
Very excited for what's to come in S2 of T for 2! Arnie interview? Linda interview? Really? I'm all in. HAHA, ya know I love you no matter what content you decide to put out. Can't wait to rewatch all these episodes in the interim.

As far as getting one of these toys today, they're really not too pricey on ebay, considering their size! If you're patient, you can snag one still sealed in the box for around $75 or less (shipped and everything). People often ask for more, but those ones don't often sell. Keep your eyes peeled!

I love the AWA remco figures and the Baron is one of my favorites from AWA. in 1985 Appleworks made a Thunderlips figure for Rocky III that was made in 1983 by Phoenix Toys and Appleworks used a Rock Em Sock em styled ring for Thunderlips.

That's a great idea! Only problem with it is that a lot of creative people watch this show, and they would come up with a really good one right away, which would mean I wouldn't be able to keep working this "searching for a sign-off" gimmick for the next few years, haha!

And thank you as always for the compliments and the support! Your kind words really do keep me from giving up on this whole thing, haha. I'm really excited about the new set, because not only will it (in my opinion) look way cooler (and more "Terminatory"), but it's also going to be more spacious and comfy for me to film the show in, so I'll be able to enjoy the filming process more (which I think will be visible to the viewers), and I'll also be able to get everything filmed with fewer takes, which will make the filming process faster, AND it'll make the editing process faster, because I won't have so much junk footage to comb through in order to piece together all the "good stuff," haha. So hopefully I'll be able to put out episodes a little more regularly. We'll see!
But who knows... maybe some day I'll go back to the old set and film an "old school" episode, just for you. 😎👍🏼

I have played both of them! Not very much, unfortunately. But I have played them. I know someone who owns the pinball game, so some day I'll be able to do a detailed episode about it! Then I'll just need to find someone who owns the arcade game.

Now let's get to the actual toy 😛 I see they chose to portray the T-800 in that inexplicable burgundy T-shirt again, and his face looks more like Jean-Claude Van Damme than Arnie to me - at least from the front 😆 The artwork on the box kinda reminds me of the cover of that Russian T2 book you're reading near the end of the credits. It's almost like theg comissioned it to the same guy 😆 Another thing that amuses me is that they refer to the T-1000 as T-1000, but the T-800/Uncle Bob is just 'Terminator' 😅 I mean... they're both terminators... kinda? 🤔
Anyway, it looks like it could have been a fun toy to have as a kid - after the 800 hours it must have taken to assemble. Looks like the type of thing that would keep your dad busy all Christmas morning 😆 Also, that must be the most epic sticker sticking scene in the history of RUclips! The music is so on point! John and Dyson Into Vault is one of my favourite themes from the T2 soundtrack 😁💙 Oh, and there goes that 'pull it out!' sample again! 😆 So good.
On a final note, I noticed that the design of the 'THE FINAL BATTLE' sticker on the side of the ring was changed for the final version of the game, probably to make it cheaper. The one on the prototype had Arnie's silhouette on it; the final version is just a yellow square with the same caution bands as the other stickers. It kinda makes the aesthetic more cohesive, anyway, so I'm not against it. It's just a fun detail 😛 I also noticed that 'Terminator' wasn't wearing his vest in the prototype. Interesting...
That's funny that you mention the changes from prototype to production! I actually discussed this stuff when I filmed the episode, but I thought it ran a bit long and "rambly," so it was one of several things I decided to cut out during the editing process. I saved it, though... maybe some day I'll release a video of "deleted scenes" or something, haha. This episode had several.
I also think it's interesting that the prototype ring was yellow, just like the TMNT ring... and most of the stickers, with their yellow backgrounds, matched the ring very well! Particularly the "The battle for tomorrow begins today!" sticker. But when they changed the ring color to blaze orange, they didn't update the stickers to have orange backgrounds.
So you seem to find this stuff as interesting as I do, which is awesome! But I had the feeling a lot of other people might have found that stuff kind of boring, and might have skipped out on finishing the episode. So I cut it, among other things.
Also, as you said, he's wearing a burgundy/purple shirt... my thought is that Remco was just piggybacking off the Kenner toy line by making him look like Power Arm Terminator. But it could just be a coincidence.
@@Tfor2show Right? I thought that as well! They definitely were trying to make him as similar to Power Arm Terminator as possible. I'd love to see all those deleted scenes! Maybe we can hope for a special director's cut DVD edition someday? 😀
