That Feebas rant was legendary. My battery on sapphire was dead and it was actually useful since Feebas' location is based on the trendy saying in dewford. And with a dead battery, time is essentially frozen so I was able to fish for as many Feebas' as needed without worrying about time changing the trendy saying, there by changing Feebas' tile location. Finding it and evolving it is still a bitch so I felt that rant on a spiritual level.

In essence, using the trendy saying, you can deduce what the random value is, and using said random value you can deduce where you can fish up Feebas.
I found three shinies in my Ruby cartridge on the same save file and still don't have a feebas (in case you were wondering, my first shiny was a Solrock that I failed, a pichu that I hatched from my second egg, and a magnemite found in new mauville.)
My first Full Odds Shiny was an Electrike in Sapphire, a blue mon I fittingly named Sapphire. Problem is, I have a fake Sapphire cart which I got as a birthday gift from... essentially a yard sale which was held at a school. That means, when I played Diamond with that Sapphire in the GBA slot, trying to find a Seviper, not only could I not get that Seviper, but the Diamond saw the fake Sapphire as a possible ROM hack and erased the save data, sending my Shiny Electrike into the digital aether for all eternity.
The worst part about Feebas's evolution requirement is that after eating enough PokeBlocks, the Pokemon won't eat anymore, so if you don't get Feebas to the right Beauty level before it stops eating, you'll have to catch another Feebas and start the process over again. Thank GOD, Gen 5 removed the contest stat and made Feebas a trade evolution, and thank GOD again that ORAS made Feebas easy as hell to find and didn't bring back that, I guess, fullness mechanic (I believe it's called Sheen in Gen 4 or something like that).
You could breed a feebas and hope it has a better preference for pokeblocks. I have no idea how many steps it takes for feebas to hatch but probably too many lol
@@jepaai20 one problem with this plan is if you caught a male feebas you would need to use a ditto to breed an egg. Can you even get ditto in Hoenn? I feel like they were only in Fire Red and Leaf Green.

That Feebas rant and that Regi rant was truly legendary. Much as I may have fond memories of Gen 3 in my childhood, I can't deny that some of its secret mechanics were not done well.
Fun fact: the running shoes, at least as they are depicted in the manga Pocket Adventures, are made by Devin and have mechanisms to allow the wearer to run lightning fast, so it makes sense why you would need to press a button and you can't use them indors
This may sound silly, but I think my biggest grievance with Emerald specifically is Wallace and all of his wasted potential. Like, if you're gonna make him champion, why not expand his role in the story? That's what they did for Steven in Ruby and Sapphire, so I don't see why they couldn't do it for him as well. And, based on what little we know about him, he sounds like an interesting character, too. Personality-wise, he's shown to be a good sport who's well-spoken and well-mannered, and who cares deeply about his city and his Pokemon. And besides being champion, he's also a former student of Juan's, as well as an artist apparently. Hell, he's even the only mono-type champion whose team is actually made up entirely of his type specialty. You gotta give him props for that. It really is a shame they didn't expand on his character in Emerald. (oh, and to answer your question, my favorite Hoenn Pokemon is Altaria.)
I’m not the biggest fan of Gen 3 but I still gotta admit that this is when Pokémon started getting REALLY damn good. Sure, no game can be perfect but this is the start of a huge winning streak for the series
Why? Gen 3 gave us main games with the most side content in terms of things to discover and explore. Introduced so many great side games such as the Mystery Dungeon, Ranger, and Colosseum games. For me it’s PKMN’s creative peak.
@@UltraV6565 That seems about right. 4 is great but arguably the weakest link (unless you count spinoffs because damn does PMD2 hard carry) of the peak trio, and 7 is basically 6 but better so it has reason to match the lower link of the peak at least (though definitely not gen 5).
My favorite Pokemon for Gen 3 is Flygon. I just love that it's a Dragon with the immunity of a flying Pokemon without having to be a flying Pokemon, especially since abilities were introduced in this generation, giving many Pokemon more uses in battle that isn't just stats and type advantages.

I don't know about anyone else, but I love the points where Charrii appears to be genuinely pissed off, even if it's just an act. I personally loved his Sticker Star video for this and I *especially* love the Feebas section (16:52) because it hammers home the point of how absurd the method to obtaining Milotic is. I'm legitimately curious to see how he tackles Mindy from Gen 4.
Two things I want to bring up now regarding the Regi Trio. I remember when I had to do all of that in Alpha Sapphire, but they go a step further with Regigigas. You need to have all of the Regi Titans in your party, use the Eon Flute to ride Latios/Latias to a specific spot in Hoenn, make sure your Regice has a nickname and is holding something cold (such as a Casteliacone or Never-Melt Ice) and only then can you encounter Regigigas. In Diamond and Pearl, all you needed was to transfer the Titans to your game and then find where Regigigas was sleeping. And speaking of Diamond and Pearl, take a second to acknowledge the fact that Gamefreak had us do a bunch of specific and intricate crap to get the Regi Trio...but thought that getting Arceus would be too complicated for players to figure out when literally all you need to do is have the Azure Flute in your bag. Yeah, because finding a specific spot on a Route to use Dive, interacting with Braille writing while having two very specific Pokémon in two very specific spots in your party, going to three very specific places, and doing very specific movements before using a very specific Field move in a very specific spot in their chambers is much easier than just having a rare item in your bag before going to where Arceus is.
Not to mention, if you fuck up and accidentally knock them out, YOU CANT GET THE REGIS ANYMORE! I don't have regirock and regice for this exact reason because all of my pokemon were in the high 70's after recently defeating emerald Steven, and the Regis spawn at LEVEL 40. Did they expect you to do the Regis BEFORE Wallace/Steven depending on your version?

Gen 3 is my favourite gen, probably because Sapphire is the first Pokémon game I've really played until the end. (the previous gen I was more hooked by the show) so I am SO happy to see it finally getting its EWW ! And that was iconic from start to finish. My favourite pokémon ? Swampert. And I don't mean my favourite gen 3 Pokémon, I mean my favourite Pokémon PERIOD. But I can't just stop it here cause gen 3 has just SO many incredible mons, Aggron, Gardevoir, Camerupt, Flygon, Blaziken, Spheal, Tropius, Ludicolo, Exploud, Hariyama, Altaria... The list goes on !
canonically in the manga that bases itself off the games, the running shoes are the super technologically advanced turbo shoes that you can activate to boost you to speeds impossible for a normal human. It's been a while since I've read the Hoenn portion, but I think they are activated with a button somewhere on the shoes.

Pyre summit theme is like one of the best themes in the game and it's in an area you're only in for like 30 seconds. Unless you're looking for Chimecho but it's not even that useful for how rare it is so you're probably only getting it to fill out your Pokedex

I figured out the Braille puzzle as a kid, in Ruby. It was a UK copy if that matters. Boxed copy came with a manual, which I read cover to cover and thought the Braille chart was odd considering the manual didn't have any other Braille in it. Found the chamber and remembered the chart. Thought it was a super cool puzzle as it reminded me of the MGS1 Meryl codec frequency puzzle and taught me about Braille.

So, where the hell is Groudon going? He's backing up, but also sinking downwards. Did he step off his platform and start sinking? He can't swim, he needed to fucking earthbend a platform for himself (which I'm not even going to get into) so not to drown, I'm pretty sure he would sink even a little bit faster.
And then ORAS made Febass 5% in the entire route and added two spots with one a 100% catch rate if it's day and the other 100% catch rate if its night. Also you can trade over a Prisim scale from X and Y and if you have Pokemon Bank download before the 3DS eShop shuts down you're in _extra_ luck there because Bank will be completely free when the eShop shuts down instead of shutting down itself.
Gen 3 is one of the best ones. I'd say it's only behind Gen 5. It feels like the first "middle Pokémon" game, not having any broken mechanics, but also lacking the features that define a good chunk of the later games.
I can give one piece of advice about Sin 93 with Shiftry. Have a flying type like Swellow have the move Aerial Ace. Not only is it fast but it will NEVER miss. So no matter how much Shiftry uses Double Team, it'll always land a blow on it.
I'll be honest, the only way I got the Regis was by having a dictionary at my dad's house that had the entirety of the Braille alphabet in the back of it. My bro and I spent so many hours going back and forth between that book and writing it all down that I could even offhand read the dots on their own without context! Hell, I still can recognize some of the shapes when I see them out and about! Like, holy shit, I was lucky my dad had that dictionary and I didn't have to look it up at school or something. And this was back in the early 2000s so Google wasn't really all that prevalent then. Sapphire was my first Pokemon game, I still love it to this day, but MAN were some of the puzzles and eccentricities out there. How were they expeting kids to even figure this shit out on their own unless they just happened to have books actually lying around with the shit they needed like I did? I mean, it was cool when my bro and I figured it out, but damn looking back that was annoying as hell. And yeah, I never got Feebas either. I always envyed people who had Militoc and once I heard how you were supposed to get it I was like, nah, fuck that. Gen 3 was SOMETHING ELSE, man. Still one hell of a way to start playing! And even got me and my bro into gaming together since he got Ruby and Emerald and we were constantly helping each other out with filling out our Pokedexes and battling each other. It was a good time with all kinds of memories. Oh, and fave Pokemon from Hoenn, gotta be a massive tie between Kyogre and Gardevoir! Love those two to pieces 💙💙💙
To add on to the feebas rant, you have to be careful when feeding it pokeblocks because doing so increases its sheen, which is an invisible stat that affects it's contest score. How do you know how much sheen a pokemon has? The sparkles that appear around it when you open the pokeblock menu and select a pokemon. A pokemon can have a maximum of 255 sheen, and if you max out it's sheen it cannot eat anymore pokeblocks. Sheen cannot be decreased either, so if you max out Feebas' sheen but didn't get it's beauty condition high enough in the process, that feebas can never evolve unless you trade it to Pal park in Pokemon Platinum, then trade it to Pokemon Black and White using the Poketransfer, then finding a prism scale, give it to feebas, then do another trade inside Black and White. It's doable and SEEMINGLY easier to do than using pokeblocks, but it's gonna take 2-3 handhelds and you had to have downloaded Pokemon Bank before the eshop was discontinued on March 27th, 2023. As of writing this comment, there are at least 15 pokemon that are wholly unobtainable on the switch, and milotic was THIS CLOSE to being one of them.
Edit: You can transfer feebas to HeartGold and SoulSilver, where instead of feeding it pokeblocks or puffins, you can get it groomed by Daisy Oak or the Haircut Brothers. This is more straightforward, but it's going to take multiple real-world days since Pokemon can only be groomed once a day (you can cheese this by changing your DS clock, in which case it'll only take an hour at most.) Additionally, only Daisy's grooming gives a set amount of beauty points (33) while with the haircut brothers it depends on your feebas' current friendship among other things. As the cherry on top, you STILL have to be careful not to max out Feebas' sheen before getting it's beauty condition high enough (170+). Again, Daisy's grooming gives a set amount of sheen (22) and the haircut brothers do not. So while evolving Feebas into Milotic is easier in Gen 4 Johto than it is in Hoenn and Sinnoh, it's still time consuming, as even if you stick with daisy, it's going to take at least 6 real-world days (or about an hour if you decide to cheese it)

I never played pokemon as a kid, so I've been playing the games in order. I'm currently in late game Sapphire, and it's been my least favorite so far. There's no pokemon from previous generations, the actual map is so confusing, and like he said- there's no way to find out how to progress the game without investigating EVERYTHING (or google but that wasn't a feasible idea at the time). I might be wrong since Sapphire is the game I'm CURRENTLY playing, but I don't remember the previous games being this hard to progress storywise
My favorite Hoenn Pokémon is my favorite Pokémon of all time: Zigzagoon! I love the little guy, he's adorable and Linoone is actually pretty good. (This love extends to the Galarian form too (Hell, that form is what made me start loving Ziggy so much, just like Alolan Vulpix did for Vulpix))
That feebas bit, just, I recently decided to play through gen 4 again and I _still_ have yet to catch a feebas in any gen 4 game. Pearl was my first ever game, and I got that in '07.

I master balled a Latias, pretty lucky. I caught a feebas and managed to evolve it dispite having limited berries on a dead battery, even luckier (though I should've bread Dragon Breath first). And I found a freaking shiny lotad while looking for ralts, before working on skitty, then volbeat, grimer, and... Wow, I caught a lot of rare stuff. Kingdra is the biggest challenge to me cause hidden power never seems to be bread past physical levels-it is almost always physical and not special. I need Psychic type.

After having watched it once and going back for a second time, I would like to point out that certain sins, while never explicitly stated in-game for obvious reason, mainly come about through abstraction. Things like there only being 40 people in an entire city, there being no bathrooms, your parents not having a bedroom, those are all things that come in the form of abstraction It's hard to really be transparent about that though since drawing attention to abstraction highlights the absurdity of said abstraction
My favorite Pokemon in Gen 3 (and honestly my favorite Pokemon overall) has gotta be Manectric. Swampert is 2nd, but a far 2nd, as Manectric is just amazing for me, from it's shiny looking like a butter dawg, to its vaccum cries, and the fact that it's an electric doggo is amazing
So, about the Regi Puzzle, this is specifically the Emerald version. The Ruby and Sapphire conditions are different. Unlocking the Regi Chambers still requires Wailord and Relicanth, but in RS, the positions are swapped (Relicanth first Slot, Wailord 6th slot in Ruby and Sapphire as well as ORAS). Regirocks is Right twice, down twice, than use Strength in Ruby/Sapphire and ORAS, as opposed to Left twice, down twice then Rock Smash in Emerald. Registeel's is basically the same thing, only in Ruby/Sapphire and ORAS, you use Fly instead of Flash like you do in Emerald. And as for Regice, instead of doing a full lap around the room while hugging the wall like in Emerald, in Ruby/Sapphire and ORAS, you had to wait there for TWO WHOLE MINUTES without touching the D Pad after reading the braile in that chamber. All of that for a sub par Trio of Legendaries. If you think THAT'S bad, just wait until Gen 4.
Can't wait for Gen 4, especially for Feebas 2: Fishing Boogaloo, as take what you said about fishing for Feebas in Gen 3, but instead of 6 tiles, it's 4.That randomize every day.

The worst part about Feebas's evolution requirement is that after eating enough PokeBlocks, the Pokemon won't eat anymore, so if you don't get Feebas to the right Beauty level before it stops eating, you'll have to catch another Feebas and start the process over again. Thank GOD, Gen 5 removed the contest stat and made Feebas a trade evolution, and thank GOD again that ORAS made Feebas easy as hell to find and didn't bring back that, I guess, fullness mechanic (I believe it's called Sheen in Gen 4 or something like that).
You could breed a feebas and hope it has a better preference for pokeblocks. I have no idea how many steps it takes for feebas to hatch but probably too many lol

That Feebas rant and that Regi rant was truly legendary. Much as I may have fond memories of Gen 3 in my childhood, I can't deny that some of its secret mechanics were not done well.
Fun fact: the running shoes, at least as they are depicted in the manga Pocket Adventures, are made by Devin and have mechanisms to allow the wearer to run lightning fast, so it makes sense why you would need to press a button and you can't use them indors

This may sound silly, but I think my biggest grievance with Emerald specifically is Wallace and all of his wasted potential. Like, if you're gonna make him champion, why not expand his role in the story? That's what they did for Steven in Ruby and Sapphire, so I don't see why they couldn't do it for him as well. And, based on what little we know about him, he sounds like an interesting character, too.
Personality-wise, he's shown to be a good sport who's well-spoken and well-mannered, and who cares deeply about his city and his Pokemon. And besides being champion, he's also a former student of Juan's, as well as an artist apparently. Hell, he's even the only mono-type champion whose team is actually made up entirely of his type specialty. You gotta give him props for that.
It really is a shame they didn't expand on his character in Emerald.

I’m not the biggest fan of Gen 3 but I still gotta admit that this is when Pokémon started getting REALLY damn good. Sure, no game can be perfect but this is the start of a huge winning streak for the series
Why? Gen 3 gave us main games with the most side content in terms of things to discover and explore. Introduced so many great side games such as the Mystery Dungeon, Ranger, and Colosseum games. For me it’s PKMN’s creative peak.
Gen 3 - 5 was peak Pokémon in my opinion, Gen 6 and 7 were okay and Gen 8 was a disaster. Let's hope Gen 9 will be as good as Gen 3 - 5.

@@UltraV6565 That seems about right. 4 is great but arguably the weakest link (unless you count spinoffs because damn does PMD2 hard carry) of the peak trio, and 7 is basically 6 but better so it has reason to match the lower link of the peak at least (though definitely not gen 5).
The streak ended around Gen 7, when Sun and Moon released, and everything went to crap.

My favorite Pokemon for Gen 3 is Flygon. I just love that it's a Dragon with the immunity of a flying Pokemon without having to be a flying Pokemon, especially since abilities were introduced in this generation, giving many Pokemon more uses in battle that isn't just stats and type advantages.

I don't know about anyone else, but I love the points where Charrii appears to be genuinely pissed off, even if it's just an act. I personally loved his Sticker Star video for this and I *especially* love the Feebas section (16:52) because it hammers home the point of how absurd the method to obtaining Milotic is. Two things I want to bring up now regarding the Regi Trio.
I remember when I had to do all of that in Alpha Sapphire, but they go a step further with Regigigas.
You need to have all of the Regi Titans in your party, use the Eon Flute to ride Latios/Latias to a specific spot in Hoenn, make sure your Regice has a nickname and is holding something cold (such as a Casteliacone or Never-Melt Ice) and only then can you encounter Regigigas. In Diamond and Pearl, all you needed was to transfer the Titans to your game and then find where Regigigas was sleeping.
And speaking of Diamond and Pearl, take a second to acknowledge the fact that Gamefreak had us do a bunch of specific and intricate crap to get the Regi Trio...but thought that getting Arceus would be too complicated for players to figure out when literally all you need to do is have the Azure Flute in your bag.
Yeah, because finding a specific spot on a Route to use Dive, interacting with Braille writing while having two very specific Pokémon in two very specific spots in your party, going to three very specific places, and doing very specific movements before using a very specific Field move in a very specific spot in their chambers is much easier than just having a rare item in your bag before going to where Arceus is.
Not to mention, if you fuck up and accidentally knock them out, YOU CANT GET THE REGIS ANYMORE! I don't have regirock and regice for this exact reason because all of my pokemon were in the high 70's after recently defeating emerald Steven, and the Regis spawn at LEVEL 40. Did they expect you to do the Regis BEFORE Wallace/Steven depending on your version?

Gen 3 is my favourite gen, probably because Sapphire is the first Pokémon game I've really played until the end. (the previous gen I was more hooked by the show) so I am SO happy to see it finally getting its EWW ! And that was iconic from start to finish.
My favourite pokémon ? Swampert. And I don't mean my favourite gen 3 Pokémon, I mean my favourite Pokémon PERIOD. canonically in the manga that bases itself off the games, the running shoes are the super technologically advanced turbo shoes that you can activate to boost you to speeds impossible for a normal human. It's been a while since I've read the Hoenn portion, but I think they are activated with a button somewhere on the shoes.

Also didn't mention how the Mt. Pyre summit theme is like one of the best themes in the game and it's in an area you're only in for like 30 seconds. Unless you're looking for Chimecho but it's not even that useful for how rare it is so you're probably only getting it to fill out your Pokedex

My personal head canon is that the player character only enters his room and the main room and not the parents’s room. Like a filial piety thing. “Honor thy father and thy mother” aka not going into our parents’s room uninvited. I barely ever went into my parents’s room growing up. Translating that into video game logic, that room just… wouldn’t be accessible to the player. It’s not that there ISN’T a parents’s bedroom, it’s that the player character doesn’t WANT to go in there on account of filial piety.

I actually played the remakes for them and I liked it a lot.
I figured out the Braille puzzle as a kid, in Ruby. It was a UK copy if that matters.
Boxed copy came with a manual, which I read cover to cover and thought the Braille chart was odd considering the manual didn't have any other Braille in it.
Found the chamber and remembered the chart. Thought it was a super cool puzzle as it reminded me of the MGS1 Meryl codec frequency puzzle and taught me about Braille.
In terms of power, fun, and joy, Gardevoir is my favorite. In terms of design, though, Rayquaza is my favorite.

Hey Charriii! Great video as always, but I've been rewatching some of your videos and eventually got to the "everything I love about Sonic '06" video, and it's been lingering in my mind for a bit.
It reminded me about the sort of... apprehension you described about the "Everything wrong with" series, and how that (unsurprisingly) affects you both mentally and physically. To that, I'd love to see you do more of the "Everything I love about" videos. Aside from giving us more content which I'll never complain about, I think it'd be a nice middle line between finding faults in these games you so clearly enjoy and telling us what you actually enjoy about them in those more genuine, unedited videos.

So, you can see by the splashes that Kyogre's making that the bottom of the screen is probably the surface of the sea, reinforced by the fact that Kyogre's sinking into the ocean. So, where the hell is Groudon going? He's backing up, but also sinking downwards. Did he step off his platform and start sinking? He can't swim, he needed to fucking earthbend a platform for himself (which I'm not even going to get into) so not to drown, I'm pretty sure he would sink even a little bit faster.

Also you can trade over a Prisim scale from X and Y and if you have Pokemon Bank download before the 3DS eShop shuts down you're in _extra_ luck there because Bank will be completely free when the eShop shuts down instead of shutting down itself.
Gen 3 is one of the best ones. I'd say it's only behind Gen 5. It feels like the first "middle Pokémon" game, not having any broken mechanics, but also lacking the features that define a good chunk of the later games.

I can give one piece of advice about Sin 93 with Shiftry. Have a flying type like Swellow have the move Aerial Ace. Not only is it fast but it will NEVER miss. So no matter how much Shiftry uses Double Team, it'll always land a blow on it.
I'll be honest, the only way I got the Regis was by having a dictionary at my dad's house that had the entirety of the Braille alphabet in the back of it. My bro and I spent so many hours going back and forth between that book and writing it all down that I could even offhand read the dots on their own without context! Hell, I still can recognize some of the shapes when I see them out and about! Like, holy shit, I was lucky my dad had that dictionary and I didn't have to look it up at school or something. And this was back in the early 2000s so Google wasn't really all that prevalent then.
Sapphire was my first Pokemon game, I still love it to this day, but MAN were some of the puzzles and eccentricities out there. How were they expeting kids to even figure this shit out on their own unless they just happened to have books actually lying around with the shit they needed like I did? I mean, it was cool when my bro and I figured it out, but damn looking back that was annoying as hell.
And yeah, I never got Feebas either. I always envyed people who had Militoc and once I heard how you were supposed to get it I was like, nah, fuck that. Gen 3 was SOMETHING ELSE, man. Still one hell of a way to start playing! And even got me and my bro into gaming together since he got Ruby and Emerald and we were constantly helping each other out with filling out our Pokedexes and battling each other. It was a good time with all kinds of memories.
Oh, and fave Pokemon from Hoenn, gotta be a massive tie between Kyogre and Gardevoir! Love those two to pieces 💙💙💙
To add on to the feebas rant, you have to be careful when feeding it pokeblocks because doing so increases its sheen, which is an invisible stat that affects it's contest score. How do you know how much sheen a pokemon has? The sparkles that appear around it when you open the pokeblock menu and select a pokemon. A pokemon can have a maximum of 255 sheen, and if you max out it's sheen it cannot eat anymore pokeblocks. Sheen cannot be decreased either, so if you max out Feebas' sheen but didn't get it's beauty condition high enough in the process, that feebas can never evolve unless you trade it to Pal park in Pokemon Platinum, then trade it to Pokemon Black and White using the Poketransfer, then finding a prism scale, give it to feebas, then do another trade inside Black and White. It's doable and SEEMINGLY easier to do than using pokeblocks, but it's gonna take 2-3 handhelds and you had to have downloaded Pokemon Bank before the eshop was discontinued on March 27th, 2023. As of writing this comment, there are at least 15 pokemon that are wholly unobtainable on the switch, and milotic was THIS CLOSE to being one of them.
Edit: You can transfer feebas to HeartGold and SoulSilver, where instead of feeding it pokeblocks or puffins, you can get it groomed by Daisy Oak or the Haircut Brothers. This is more straightforward, but it's going to take multiple real-world days since Pokemon can only be groomed once a day (you can cheese this by changing your DS clock, in which case it'll only take an hour at most.) Additionally, only Daisy's grooming gives a set amount of beauty points (33) while with the haircut brothers it depends on your feebas' current friendship among other things. As the cherry on top, you STILL have to be careful not to max out Feebas' sheen before getting it's beauty condition high enough (170+). Again, Daisy's grooming gives a set amount of sheen (22) and the haircut brothers do not. So while evolving Feebas into Milotic is easier in Gen 4 Johto than it is in Hoenn and Sinnoh, it's still time consuming, as even if you stick with daisy, it's going to take at least 6 real-world days (or about an hour if you decide to cheese it)

Deoxys is my personal favorite I just like it’s design and unique forms (and it’s cool to have an alien Pokémon that isn’t Clefairy/Clefable).
I never played pokemon as a kid, so I've been playing the games in order. I'm currently in late game Sapphire, and it's been my least favorite so far. There's no pokemon from previous generations, the actual map is so confusing, and like he said- there's no way to find out how to progress the game without investigating EVERYTHING (or google but that wasn't a feasible idea at the time). I might be wrong since Sapphire is the game I'm CURRENTLY playing, but I don't remember the previous games being this hard to progress storywise

I master balled a Latias, pretty lucky. I caught a feebas and managed to evolve it dispite having limited berries on a dead battery, even luckier (though I should've bread Dragon Breath first). And I found a freaking shiny lotad while looking for ralts, before working on skitty, then volbeat, grimer, and... Wow, I caught a lot of rare stuff. Kingdra is the biggest challenge to me cause hidden power never seems to be bread past physical levels-it is almost always physical and not special. I need Psychic type.
I get it, homonyms can be difficult to work out, but "bread" is the kind you EAT.

Also finding the Magma hideout in a time where i couldn't acces the internet (and properly speak English because i live in Belgium) was a pain. We literally had to talk to other people at school to find stuff like this out.

After having watched it once and going back for a second time, I would like to point out that certain sins, while never explicitly stated in-game for obvious reason, mainly come about through abstraction. Things like there only being 40 people in an entire city, there being no bathrooms, your parents not having a bedroom, those are all things that come in the form of abstraction
It's hard to really be transparent about that though since drawing attention to abstraction highlights the absurdity of said abstraction

My favorite Pokemon in Gen 3 (and honestly my favorite Pokemon overall) has gotta be Manectric. Swampert is 2nd, but a far 2nd, as Manectric is just amazing for me, from it's shiny looking like a butter dawg, to its vaccum cries, and the fact that it's an electric doggo is amazing
So, about the Regi Puzzle, this is specifically the Emerald version. The Ruby and Sapphire conditions are different.
Unlocking the Regi Chambers still requires Wailord and Relicanth, but in RS, the positions are swapped (Relicanth first Slot, Wailord 6th slot in Ruby and Sapphire as well as ORAS).
Regirocks is Right twice, down twice, than use Strength in Ruby/Sapphire and ORAS, as opposed to Left twice, down twice then Rock Smash in Emerald.
Registeel's is basically the same thing, only in Ruby/Sapphire and ORAS, you use Fly instead of Flash like you do in Emerald.
And as for Regice, instead of doing a full lap around the room while hugging the wall like in Emerald, in Ruby/Sapphire and ORAS, you had to wait there for TWO WHOLE MINUTES without touching the D Pad after reading the braile in that chamber.
All of that for a sub par Trio of Legendaries. If you think THAT'S bad, just wait until Gen 4.
so...I got to ask what is the rom hack you are playing that has the sprites you are playing as? or is this something you made yourself?
Can't wait for Gen 4, especially for Feebas 2: Fishing Boogaloo, as take what you said about fishing for Feebas in Gen 3, but instead of 6 tiles, it's 4.That randomize every day.
