I would trade my remaining years to be able to live through 90 to 2000 again. I can't complain, my life has been good for the most part but the one of the top 3 things I'm eternally grateful for is having my teen years through the 90s and graduating high school in 2000. I'll cherish that till I'm in the ground. Couldn't pay me enough to be a kid in today's world. I feel bad for them. It's too crazy.
I was born in 92 so i have some of this stuff and I don't have some but do remember seeing some of this stuff. same with the songs. and i had defendant variants of some of the stuff.
Kids now days have no idea how deadly beyblades were when they first came out. They did not break apart on impact they dished it out until one stop spinning. If one was dumb enough to stick there fingers in the middle of a fight end up with a broken knuckle or finger lol.
After watching these two videos, I have come to realize how much of the 90's was just characterized by a superabundance of colorful plastic. Every decade seems to have a certain "soul," such as the 50's being very greaser, the 70's being very hippie, the 80's being disco, etc. Looking back with 30 years of hindsight, it seems like the 90's was the decade of plastic.
If you remember some characters but not the specific merchandise for them displayed in this video, does that count? Like does the number of things recognized in this video go up by one if you remember Rugrats but not the specific Rugrats stuff 46 seconds into this video, for example? In any case, my total across both parts is somewhere in the 20s, so I guess I'm a "dufus" 😄. The "Arthur" theme music in part 1 sure takes me back, though.
1:10 that was the first gameboy I got, was wild to play Pokemon and I lived in the area that didn't have it on TV so I had no clue how to play it when I was 8 so I kept training Pikachu to an absurd level not realizing I was supposed to catch other pokemon until after I beat Brock (yes I know the old man at the beginning taught you how to catch pokemon however I didn't pay attention and was just skipping the dialog as fast as possible). I did substantially worse in this video than the last as I only recognized about half of the items.
hello, same person from the last vid, got 13 this time, my brother (born in 2000) uses one of those colorful velcro wallets every day (he's had it since like 2010), I'll need to tell him it's 90s nostalgia apparently
Oh man, a 2000s kid does this again? Here we go. Rugrats! (Love love LOVE that show), Happy Meal Snack maker (I WISH I OWNED ONE OF THOSE I'VE SEEN THEM in action before AHHHHH), GameBoy COlor (duh), Echo Mic (All I remember was owning something like this), Snacktime kid (Uhh, this isn't a good thing to reference), CHEEZ BALLS!, Beanie Babies (Me and my cousin owned some of these fellas), Floam (Sounds similar), Grab and Go Pringles (Yes), Magic Cards (My brother had these, and it seems like I got a hold of some), Blockbuster (I wish I went there), Scented markers (We have things like that at SCHOOL!), TIckle me Elmo (hahaha, you tickled Elmo!), Nintendo 64 (Famous console who would not known that), Skipit (Seen an ad for it), Slingys, Nokia phones! (As a phone lover, these are nice phones!), VHS (my brother owned a few of them, like for A Extremely Goofy Movie from 1995), Fingerboards (Huge interest in my 10th grade year, aka last year, Sega Saturn (For some reason there was 2 Sega Saturn I thought?), Yu-gi-oh cards (Another brother-owned product), Waterful ring toss (MY SCHOOL HAS THESE, IN THE GUIDANCE ROOM), Clippy (He's so annoyingly goofy, he's silly), finger puppet monsters (OMG! I DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS THESE, My OT teacher used these for a school test and they were so silly!), Hot Shot Basketball (Tried to make my own version of it out of pottery material). That's it!
Hey i just Googled this actually and we're both right. They used to be called sock'em boppers but they were sued by Mattel because rockem sockem robots already existed and they made them change the name. Just wanted to let you know i wasn't trying to be mean or anything i didn't know they changed the name. I didn't know they changed the song either i guess lol
Okay, In this part alone I had 23, so adding that to my 26 of part one, I had a total of 49! (I'm from the UK and a lot of this is US stuff, but I loved watching all the same!)
I had fond memories of the Discovery channel Show: EyeWitness 1994 - ruclips.net/video/Uwarhzl76D8/видео.html This was before Discovery channel turned into watered-down garbage Edu-tainment in the 2000's
My mouth hurts from 20 minutes of smiling. Didn't count but remembered tons and the theme tunes were the icing on the cake. Good job dude. Thank you.
Same.

The government would never allow Water Talkies to be sold now due to health and safety regulations as it would put kids at risk of drowning.
