Mr. Chen, this is excellent Chinese weapons instruction, thanks very much. I particularly enjoy the manual, which is absent in many modern martial arts instructions
You all might find the Traditional Chinese Sword League interesting, yearly beginners & open full contact swordplay tournaments in America & Europe using full weight wooden weapons (no plastic swords). The next open will be October 2, 2010 in Washington, DC.
@HamsterPants522 Yes! And the movie was appropiate for this video too! Because the movie was based in Ming Dynasty China, and it's about Chinese swordsmen and Japanese swordsmen. ;-)
It depends on whether you can understand the essence & principles behind the movement or not. Sometimes the movement may be flowery, but it's the lessons behind it that's important.

hi, Jack Chen. What is your opinion between the ancient sword martial arts and modern dancing sword arts which are show in many movies?

@jackchn I accidentally removed my message. hahah
And I agree. It's very fitting.
為何要用英文講呢?這種絕技應該不外傳異族才對!
