There is actually a handful of CEOs that have earned that title Michael Jeffries even though he was a terrible human being he brought Abercrombie in Fitch from me fledging on the verge of bankruptcy store to become the number one mall clothing store for almost better half of a decade turn it into a multi billion dollar brand he earned about $350 million during his tenure at the company obviously they’ve gone through downtimes the past few years but he did put them back on the map and made them the massive company they were.
Another one that comes to mind is John ledger from T-Mobile again a company on the verge of hostile take over from AT&T and then planned on originally merchant into Sprint with less than 20 million customers and Network Ten only covered 30% of the country to now have a network that covers the majority of the country and the second largest cell phone provider after AT&T is definitely impressive to go from losing thousands upon thousands of customers a day to have an over 120 million. If anything he’s underpaid because he has a net worth of about $60 million so to bring a company out of bankruptcy like that and turn it around so spectacularly I feel like personally he should’ve been paid much much much more.

great guy to learn business lessons from. the way apple is now shifting to a service based company is same like microsoft's transition from software product company to software services company. Apple has an advantage of its ecosystem. The profit margins from iphone is 35%, services is 60%,app store is 78%.

A big problem here is how their strictness in these fields have been leading to legal concerns and may be rushing the era of strict regulation. A huge portion of the app store's profit margin would evaporate if they weren't so strict on their monopolization techniques and an even bigger portion is from the purposefully predatory behavior of app makers themselves who have to give a portion of those earnings to Apple. A crackdown on the legal gambling systems of apps and a crackdown on software monopolies could devastate the company at the moment which I believe to be a very risky play where they are actively spreading the gasoline around their house themselves just hoping no one lights a match.

The best thing a lifestyle brand could ever possibly be called is “overpriced”! That perception drives the aura of exclusivity, which drives people who crave a certain level of material validation to that brand and the people who think it’s overpriced were never going to be attracted to it anyways, at any price... and a million passionate and affluent customers who are willing to spend just about anything for your product to keep up with the “lifestyle” is better than a billion customers who could take you or leave you and are price sensitive. Many companies would kill to have the general public think of them as overpriced and expensive, particularly ones in the luxury, lifestyle and wellness spaces.

The next product category apple try and pursue might be more traditional consumer electronics, a high end camera as a step above what an iphone can get, they might expand their AV portfolio from just the Apple TV into a sound system to compete against Sonos and tie in with the homepod lineup, with the quality of the screens they're producing for iPhone I'd be interested to see what they could achieve for TV Production aswell. Thoughts on when or if Apple would launch products like this?

iPhones are great and I don’t necessarily think their overpriced anymore for what they offer you and considering the level of software support they get. That being said they’re are plenty of things that apple does that make me angry. IOS is still pretty limiting for no reason considering the hardware inside.
I also do believe that the storage premium that Apple forced people to pay is just silly.
The reason I’m not just blindly mad at apple is because Samsung their main competitor in the mobile space does many of the same things now

That's $800 today for the entry level iPhone but the top spec would be $1050 adjusted for inflation. That's a phone with a single camera with an LCD screen.
Apple isn't overpriced and neither is Android. The crappiest thing about Apple is their users.
