I didn’t face Fox and Cat because I wanted to keep them alive. I understood that despite what those two did, they simply did it to help each other and planned on leaving Krat. So I just gave them gold coin fruit and I actually liked them. Fox getting emotional, apologizing for their behavior, and thanking you for always being so supportive and caring no matter what really hit me hard! I almost cried when seeing that and I hardly ever cry (not including video games😂)
Black Cat and Red Fox should've been the "gank fight" instead of the Black Rabbit Brotherhood. It doesn't make a lot of sense that they split up in the Abbey. They would totally have a reason to be together, fight you together. It would've been a heartbreaking fight. The room you fight Black Cat in? That would've been a great duo boss arena for them. Instead of having Black Rabbit Brotherhood be a "gank fight" they should've fought you one-on-one as you went through their turf, the Malum District. They ambush you, one by one, each of them picking devious ways to get the drop on you or sucker you into a bad spot before trying to take you out. You could get glimpses of the Eldest here and there, until he's the only one left and you fight him in the square at the end.
@@sakecole3994yea its a shame he didn’t get any special new moves. Although him being easy was fine for me after the (pre-nerf) king of puppets who took me more tries than any other boss in this game
People get too bent out of shape over The Brotherhood fights. I personally think their first encounter is one of the best done gank fights out of any Souls-like and Souls Series game.
Oh damn. That's super high praise given I think he's lowkey the god of scripted Souls Rankings. I'm just here to bring a casual perspective to the mix xD
The white lady is my favourite npc fight, but all of them are kinda similair and pretty forgettable overall. I would have put the walker of illusions above all the npc's.
Great list. Your take on the bosses is pretty close to what my opinion is. Door Guardian and Walker of Illusions are the only 2 bosses I actually dislike fighting now that I'm on ng+++. Both Black Rabbit Brotherhood fights are towards the top of my list. I love humanoid fights in these games and its so satisfying parrying The Elder Brother. On my first playthrough, I actually beat the second BRBrotherhood fight on my first try, with a lot of effort and some luck. I didn't like Victor at first, but hes grown on me a lot after doing multiple ng+ playthroughs, as he is more satisfying to fight when he has a larger health pool.
The Door Guardian, the Walker of Illusions, the Fallen Archbishop Andreus & The Nameless Puppet are the only 4 bosses that gave me grief on my first playthrough, taking me 7+ tries to beat. Granted the flaw I made when fighting the Door Guardian was that I was trying to inflict heavy damage on him, which was a mistake, the correct way to fight him is with a quick stabbing type weapon, you want to inflict as many hits on him as possible, don't worry so much about the lack of damage you're doing. I used the long curved blade with the Acidic Crystal Spear Handle, and beat him that same attempt. The Walker of Illusions was a pain in the ass for one simple reason, 99% of his attacks could interrupt my own attacks, and because I was so reliant on charged attacks, I wasn't doing much damage at all, but I got better at mastering the timing for his attacks and figuring out when and where it was most appropriate to Charge Attack, still took me like 14 attempts. There's no big reason why I struggled with Fallen Archbishop Andreus, aside from this boss being the boss to finally teach me the importance of Perfect Guarding, once it clicked, the fight became incredibly trivialized, just fought him again yesterday on NG+ and beat him on my first try. Y'all already know my thoughts on the Nameless Puppet, phase 1 is a cakewalk, but phase 2? This prick is so damn fast, and rarely gives you a window of opportunity to attack, I was at LV 108 when I first fought him, and he crushed me like 28 times, so I left to level up some more, got to LV 142, and then came back and on my 6th attempt that day, I FINALLY defeated one of the hardest Soulsborne-like bosses in years.
Im really like this carinval/puppet themed game and bosses. Seeing the stalkers bosses makes me wanna see some sort of masquered/1920's souls style game cuz i love that esthectic and it be cool to see
You can cheese it so easily too if you like doing stuff like that once you get her to scream at you that go back down the ladder as she walks back, if you like throwables stay at the ladder and throw everything at her and she stays their in the center of the room

Billy: Wants to be friends with the Black Cat and Red Fox, enjoys their tragic lore and didn’t fight them his first playthrough. Me: You traitorous bastards I’m setting you on fire and wearing the Black Cat’s gear while I kill his sister
I love seeing the boss rankings of this game. I’ve seen the walker of elusion and victor very high up, even in the top 3. I feel like bosses in this game are extremely subjective. That’s what’s making those videos interesting. My personal top three are: 1. King of Puppets 2. Green monster with bad name 3. Nameless Puppet Lets see if we have the same opinion on the next video haha.
Dammit Billy!! I had the Bloodborne reference count at 5 or over!! Pretty sure i only heard one! I’m gonna need 4 more references in the top 10 or else I’m gonna look like a fool in front of NOBODY!!
I beat victor by basically parrying everything. It was a fucking blast and so much harder. Strongly recommend you try it. Overall i played the entire game almost like sekiro, and its so fun to do that. You optimize everything for perfect parries, it fucks bosses up unbelievably quick if you get good.
I would’ve put door guardian somewhere in the middle of my boss tier list on first playthrough. Now that I’ve completed NG+ I 100% agree with you putting him last thank you 😂
The second BRB fight was the biggest disappointment in the game. I wished so badly that it would be exactly what it was, but phase two saw a cutscene switch after all three were defeated in which the battle maniac picked up his brothers sword and went crazy. I wanted his moveset to feel forced and unpracticed as he would be less familiar with the weapon. It would basically just show the love and grief they had for their brother; instead, it was simply disappointing.
For Victor I have him in S but I think the reason is because of playstyke I parried Victor a lot and only dodged certain moves which made them the perfect mix
I completely disagree with you on Victor He does encourage you to dodge. Some of his most difficult combos you can side-step. Whenever he charges at you it’s a free parry. The timings are a bit intimidating given it’s his fist rather then a weapon you have to pay attention too but the fight does work for mid-game.
My issue with Victor is that due to his moveset, you're almost 100% better off dodging than actively engaging with Lies of P's parry mechanics. Why should I bother parrying his charge when I can just dodge it and save myself the effort? With a majority of other bosses & their charges, their hitbox is large enough that it stops players from being able to dodge through them. Victor doesn't have that. If he forced me to actually learn and parry his attacks, he'd be higher on the list, definitely Top 10, maybe even Top 5. But Victor just doesn't appeal to what I enjoy about Lies of P's gameplay.
@@BillySYT This isn't Sekiro. Multiple youtubers pointed out that trying to just perfect guard everything isn't how the game was intended to be played, and some enemies and bosses make that glaringly obvious. Victor kicked my butt when I tried to perfect guars everything, but after trying out dodging his attacks he went way up in my fun fights. BRB on the other hand...
I can enjoy ganks, but black rabbit brotherhood is mainly ruined by the youngest brother and eldest himself. The smallest one is way too fast and can knock you down frustratingly often. Eldest himself is just too fast for a fight where you have to take down multiple enemies that are also kinda fast. He has combos that last forever with insane range, and if you do get knocked down by one of the brothers, he can be right back in your face again. I don't know what people saying this fight is great see, because I think both BRB fights are the worst in the game. As soon as I saw the rematch, I immediately started using summons
I find the original fight to be extremely well balanced, due to the eldest brother constantly taking the backseat when any of the other enemies come out to fight. In the 1st fight, the Youngest Brother is also extremely nerfed because while his moveset is still annoying af, he does negligible damage at the best of times. I can't rightfully say this fight is bad/worst in the game when the Souls series has had SO much worse.
I think I have a bad judgement of the door guardian, victor, and Simon because I beat them first try but my favorites have got to be laxasia and the puppet king/romeo
great list imo, I also was underwhelmed by victor's fight contrary to the rest of the fanbase it seems like, I didn't mind the gimmick of the door guardian that much though, it was just a milder boss with less relevance with a funky gimmick but it was fine for me
I mean, Door Guardian is fine. But the gimmick wasn't really taken anywhere we hadn't seen before. Tower Knight had the minions in the boss arena, Iron Golem had the chance of falling off the sides of the arena. Fire Giant forced you to break apart a piece of the leg armour before doing actual damage. Door Guardian, by comparison, is so cookie-cutter bland.
The White Lady was probably my least favourite boss in the game. She just seems janky and I’m pretty sure she just straight up teleports sometimes? She has infinite stamina but then also gets melted by backstabs. Just all put together it’s not very fun to fight her at all.
Gonna say something controversial since saying anything bad about them seems like a grave sin in souls community. If not for the eldest brother joining the fight (I hate that guy) Black Rabbit Brotherhood would be better multi fight than O&S
My hot take is that both BRB fights are better than O&S. O&S is the most overrated fight in the genre. I think the BRB fights are two of the best multi-boss fights around, due to how they trade off aggro.
@@zaustus1500 Eldest is too fast with a ton of ambiguous combos that have insane range, and the the youngest brother is extremely fast and annoying. Eldest is so hard to run from and break up aggro which made it a nightmare for me. The other 2 are mostly fine.
In the first fight, Eldest goes passive while there's another out. Youngest is easy to deal with by hitting & running, and she has no poise. In fight 2 you should kill all 3 before Eldest wakes back up. I find Maniac the most annoying with his overheat and puppet string, so I focus him down first.
With my technique build the mad clown puppet was a joke boss, one of the easyest in the game, Archbishop was easy too. But Fuoco and brotherhood... Ohh boy...
well the list is wrong already..... door guardian is a perfect boss a good mixture of damage speed and mechanics culminating in a thrilling battle against an alchemist blocking your entrance into the main section of Arche Abbey
Which I actually bring up in the video... Like, I make those points. But that doesn't change the fact it's the least original boss & most blatant copy of a Soulsborne boss in Lies of P.
Because even though I don't particularly enjoy the fight, I think it's had more thought and care put into it than those below it, and I can respect what the developers were going for. I'm always going to reward experimental boss design that at least attempts to do something, over bosses that feel incredibly safe and bland.
My read on the situation was that he was projecting very heavily. Man can barely see, is desperate to help Red Fox, and clearly does not want to be there. I'm all for giving them an out, especially knowing that nobody was killed at the Hotel, and Geppetto lowkey deserved to be kidnapped.
The White Lady has a good moveset? When exactly do i get to see it? I absolutely despise this fight with a passion. Dashes in, hits twice, dashes out, repeats. 3 moves without any variations. Boring and deserving of the bottom spot. Great Video as always tho
I think I would have put the black cat as the worst of the stalkers it's just his dialogue is so victim oriented it's like yeah we get it you're a sad sad character now grow up and act your age when I was fighting him I basically just wanted to shut his mouth up he is just the epitome of woe is me I'm such a sad sack kill me already
Black rabbits my best after update .. i hate second phase in every boss almost, not balanced annoying not fun, especially the final optional boss and the lady laxia i think her name, they want you to parry blink fast hit !!
Honestly, I thought voice lines were feminine-coded, but the voice itself sounded young enough it could have gone either way. Add on to that they're called a Brotherhood, and they like to say the word "Brother" a lot in their boss fights, and it becomes a good old Mandela Effect moment.
So glad you brought up the voice acting. I actually think the voice acting in the game is pretty lame. They have werid cadences when speaking and the actual lines aren't well writen. I do like your speaking voice however. Very nice and relaxing.
The white lady being a Karen is now canon as far as im concerned My top 5 favourite bosses are 1) laxasia (basically a love child of Malenia and larxene from KH 2) nameless puppet (he would be #1 but i hate the fact he's right aftee simon) 3) Romeo 4) Black Rabbit Brotherhood #2 a shadows of yharnam but better fight 5) Scrapped Watchman/ parade master a tie between these 2 bevause of rheir new game+ dialogue
The difference being that I'm genuinely saying Venigni in that way from a place of love. The english voice actor for Venigni gives a similar tone, albeit more accurate to the accent, and it's just fun to say. It's similar to how people like to mimic Mario's voice from Super Mario. It's just a fun tone. You can't say the same for Americans making fun of a British accent, because 9/10 times they're either doing it derogatorily, or they're using one of those extremely posh accents that nobody actually speaks like, and represents a class in the UK that we're all fed up of due to issues with our Government. This isn't the "gotcha moment" you think it is.
I explained this in a different comment, but the difference is that I'm butchering Venigni out of love. It's similar to the way Venigni talks in-game, so I'm just referencing how the character himself speaks. Like, I'm not trying to be malicious to the people of Italy lmao Meanwhile, my criticism of Americans doing British accents is based on the fact that 9/10 times, it's not done out of love. And in the case of voice acting, the direction just didn't work with Robber Weasel.
@@BillySYT I'd honestly go as far as to say that claiming your pronunciation of Venigni is the same as the way he himself says his name is borderline distasteful. I originally just meant this comment as a joke to poke fun at your bad Italian accent, but uh... a small bit yikes.

I enjoy the fact that she moves around, I guess? Most bosses in this game aren't very mobile, so it's refreshing.
Why does no one realize the youngest of the brotherhood is a girl. Its more than obvious.
Honestly, I thought voice lines were feminine-coded, but the voice itself sounded young enough it could have gone either way. Add on to that they're called a Brotherhood, and they like to say the word "Brother" a lot in their boss fights, and it becomes a good old Mandela Effect moment.
Is bro trolling with saying vengini like that😂
I hate the walker of illusions.
So glad you brought up the voice acting. I actually think the voice acting in the game is pretty lame. They have werid cadences when speaking and the actual lines aren't well writen. I do like your speaking voice however. Very nice and relaxing.
I love how this dude is saying the game isnt hard enough lol
The white lady being a Karen is now canon as far as im concerned
My top 5 favourite bosses are
1) laxasia (basically a love child of Malenia and larxene from KH
2) nameless puppet (he would be #1 but i hate the fact he's right aftee simon)
3) Romeo
4) Black Rabbit Brotherhood #2 a shadows of yharnam but better fight
5) Scrapped Watchman/ parade master a tie between these 2 bevause of rheir new game+ dialogue
You Say It triggers you to hear americans doing english accent and yet you seem to have no problem in making fun of the italian accent
>Complains about Americans doing a London accent
>Spends every Lies of P video butchering an Italian accent to say Venigni
I explained this in a different comment, but the difference is that I'm butchering Venigni out of love. It's similar to the way Venigni talks in-game, so I'm just referencing how the character himself speaks. Like, I'm not trying to be malicious to the people of Italy lmao
Meanwhile, my criticism of Americans doing British accents is based on the fact that 9/10 times, it's not done out of love.
Wait ur gay?
No way that Victor is so low
He just doesn't make the most out of LIes of P's combat system for me. As said, Soulsborne fans will love him, because he's basically a DS3 boss.
