The album that this is from is Marty at his very best, singing songs like 'That Old Feeling', 'You Made Me Love You', 'As Time Goes By' and 'Am I That Easy To Forget.' It's quite superb and goes a long way to proving that he was the very best vocalist to hit Nashville.

Perhaps the best arrangement I have heard of this classic song; Marty Robbins's voice is serviceable in this number and the timbre of his voice is pleasing. The sentiment and interpretation of the song is just right. It is low-key and not over-the-top. I like the understated quality of this version because one is sometimes tempted to do too much with this great song. Love is Blue, indeed.
But to my mind Dmitri Ribero-Ferreira sings it more tenderly!

I remember this song won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1963 or 1964 (or circa that period), sung by a French female singer. It is a beautiful song which is difficult to forget. I was probably about 8 or 9 years old ...
