  • Six years ago, the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians formed Michigan’s first indigenous-led, multi-agency collaborative to restore and protect the ecology of our streams and rivers. "Restoring Aquatic Ecosystems" is a 26-minute documentary that shines a light on these nonprofit and governmental organizations working together to restore the natural flow in Michigan’s streams and rivers - often called ”the arteries of mother earth.”
WCMU Public Television was the first to broadcast and cablecast this documentary on Sunday, October 2, 2022. The film is also available through Nature Change (naturechange.org).
