I held my breath when you said there are differences in the old vs new Meteorites. (Please be better not worse!) Hmmm… I definitely preferred the original as a highlighter, but overall buffered over the face it looks pretty similar. I’m interested to see what the holiday release Meteorites colors are! I’d love a liquid lip showdown video! There really have been so many liquid lipsticks released recently. This one looks stunning! The Oxblood 😍 Ooh I want that one! Hi Lexi ! Thank you so much for demoing and reviewing the Chanel quad in Parure Cristal - the lightest and coolest-toned quad in the Baroque collection. I love the look you created. As my eyes are deep-set, my quest is to lighten my lids rather than to make them recede so this quad is right up my alley. With respect to the new Meteorites, I suspect some people will be disappointed - fewer grams, 1 year shelf life, change in tone. Thank you for reviewing the Guerlain Parure powder foundation; I now plan on purchasing instead the Suqqu powder foundation - what shade are you? That Burberry liquid lipstick shade is gorgeous on you - stunning! - I hope this collection will soon be available in Canada. Thanks again Lexi for an excellent roundup of new releases.
Thank you Jocelyne. The only problem with the Suqqu powder foundation is their shade range. I have shade 210 which is a little too deep. Perhaps 110 would be better but their lighter shades are not represented in this line. At this time they are not adding any additional shades so I make do with the 210. They are releasing a new liquid foundation soon with a new lighter shade in 205 though so I'm looking forward to that and will keep asking for more shades in the powder foundation.
Wow so many new products! Amazing how quick you get them to review. I didn’t even know they reformulated the Guerlain meteorites. I love those why do they have to mess with the original. The JR brow gel looks really nice I’m always looking to try a new one. The Burberry matte lips look beautiful! I love the shades you picked. Hi Lexi! This has nothing to do with anything but since it’s the holiday season I would love a video with all of your favorite red lipsticks. It could be all of your favorites by undertone and depth, in separate videos, whatever. I always always want LE velvet ribbon but I’m not going to buy it because it will break. I’d love to know your favorite alternative to LE Velvet ribbon. Half way through this one I went and found your video on the Suqqu Glow Powder Foundation from 2021 and I can see why you prefer that compared to the Guerlain one and that is now on my wish list! Hi dear Lexi, i watched the first part of the video yeterday and now the entire video again, such a good video, and i love a good salty comment especially for Chanel!!!👍👍🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 I was very happy with these quads, bought 3 of them, and, after Chanel bored me for decades (born 1970) they really start to make the makeup that we want, more and more. Much has to be learned, like leaving out the fragrance from foundations, but it takes quite a while before they listen. However, with some stuff i'm really happy, like the Mediterrannee quad from last year spring, their magic concealer, but why in a jar, they made an eye pencil that stays put but does not hurt my eyes anymore like their waterproof liner does, they make good lipgloss, hate all their bronzers, they can go back to school to learn that lighter people want cooler undertones, but love their Rêve de Camelia highlighter, their Blush/Highlighter from this spring, with corresponding quad! The tweed quads, so, so. Their normal quads, ok. Liquid and cream shadows, they are not the best. Blush, the first one i dared to swatch (did not wear yet) is their new one from the autumn collection with leafs on it, have the cooler tone, think i'm gonna use a squirrel brush because that is pigmented, but beautiful, this blush! Are they irritating? Yes! Making also mini versions of their for me not working cream bronzer, but loved the formula, instead of thinking about colours and undertones. In short: Chanel do what they want, no matter what we want. But these, i have to give it to them, very good! I saw already in another comment that they are gonna solve it for you with this quad, and they have to, Lexi! The other products, beautiful, Jones Road keeps surprising! I love her bronzer so much, in color 2, a normal fool proof bronzer with a good effect and good undertone!!! And love colour 1 for a natural blush!!! Loved the whole video, and what is said here, you always help so good that we make the right choices!!! I cannot always buy via your links living in The Netherlands, especially with EU products, but that comment is so true, you do an amazing job, thank you!!!!👏👏🤩🤩👏👏😘😘
Hi Annemarie! You are totally right - there is always room for improvement and these big brands still have a way to go although they have had some amazing releases! Chanel is going to take care of the quad and let me exchange it for an intact one. Some people have shared with me that this happened to them too so it's something to watch for just in case. It was very helpful to see the quad swatches wet as well as dry. I had thought I would pick this up, but I may skip it. My drawers are pretty full for something that’s just ok, formula wise.
I love Burberry lip products - they always do such a wonderful job with formula and color! If you decide to do a showdown (please do!) I would be interested in hearing how they compare to the Lisa Eldridge formula💋
I have the pressed powder guerlain foundation. It matches closely color range wise to the terracotta liquid foundation. I wear the same color in both. Ive tested it out in super humid weather and its held up nicely as both a finishing overlay and alone. It is scented which could bother some. I love the larger mirror in the case. Its a little awkward to open.
Hi Lexi, your content is always so informative and enjoyable! The Chanel quad is pretty but it's that iridescent shade that elevates the look bc w/o it you know the rest. I hope you have reached out to your contact about that shade that fell right out as you really do support Chanel and they should know. No one is going to be more indepth about the meteorite differences than you! Love the beautiful finish on the Burberry liquid lips. Those Burberry liquid lipsticks have been on my list for a couple of months now. They have a vivid pink that I’m eyeing with. I’ve been good with resisting the CT and Lisa Eldridge liquid lipsticks, especially because I didn’t find the colours very special.
Yes! I wanted to get that pink but it was not available when I ordered. I have a few more liquid lipsticks to try like the new Givenchy and I have some Lisa Eldridge coming as well. I think we will have to rank them soon!

I thought Parure Cristal was more mauve than peach. Your swatches are usually spot on. Am I right about the way I'm seeing those colors? Plus it is so much better wet, but I'm too impatient. I'd wear this once. You just saved me $70. But I saw your link to Holt Renfrew. Were you able to get them to ship to the US? I didn't know that Burberry had made a liquid lipstick. The colors are different than they are in the bullet. The old Oxblood is more blue/red and deeper. I also loved Russet, but that looks a bit redder on the website. I thought so too but unfortunately it really is more peach. I'm guessing the venetienne quad is even warmer. I purchased from the Aventura boutique in Florida - I added the contact info to the box but had forgotten to put it there at first. The quads are available in US boutiques right now and online soon. @@LexiJong Thanks Lexi. I shop at another Miami boutique. It kind of shocks me that we don't have a Beauty and Fragrance boutique in the DC area. This is really a Chanel kind of town, I would think. They have a couple of local boutiques for fragrance and handbags, but no beauty. Oh well, glad you got yours so I could see it. @@LexiJong So do I. I'm only 15 minutes from the Tysons Galleria. I wish they had makeup there. It says online that they do, but they never used to. Plus they were appointment only and may still be. I'm not going to book an appointment to check out a lipstick, even if they have them. I get the exclusivity angle. It helps them charge more. But they've made shopping in DC such a pain. I guess that's why you and I are buying from SAs in Miami. If I find anything new out, I'll let you know. Although, if I had a makeup loving friend (😉), and some cash for a launch that I really wanted, City Center could be a great excuse to meet for lunch.

I was originally excited about the Chanel quads 😅but I'm glad I waited and watched reviews. The warm toned palette has a topper shade w a noticeable bright green shift... Nothing I want to put in my inner corner on a daily look😢sad really the other shades looked nice. The red&green one was nicer but the green actually is lighter than I thought. Now I'm hoping the Guerlain will be good. The green and wine shade look deeper and it seems to have a champagne shimmer 😊
Hi Lexi !! Thanks for another informative review . I love my Meteorites . I think the new one looks nice but I prefer the old one as it looks slightly more brighter on the skin . I’m passing on the Chanel eyeshadow as like you said are dryer and not very pigmented. Agree they look better wet on the eye . The lipsticks look amazing on the wear test . Still using my double ended Chanel duo , so far can’t find one to beat it . But these look like a strong contender 😊❤
Hi Bridget! The Burberry are amazing! Very different from the Chanel but still a great formula. Chanel was very innovative with their duos and I'm hoping to see more like that from them in the future.
Love meteorites, so pretty, but sadly anything with bismuth oxichloride makes me itch like crazy, which the old formula had. Makes so many glow powders a no-go for me so maybe I can make this reformation work.

You do such an amazing job Lexi of your swatches! I am speaking of your review of both the powder foundation and Meteorites. Do you think the powder foundation formulation is an issue because there are no silicones in it? You mentioned the other brand is nicer but I'm wondering if it's because that product has silicones in it. And I am so happy the Meteorites is warmer in nature. I am so looking forward to this slightly warmer reformulation. I've never owned meteorites before as I was always hesitant because of the talc and it would look too pale. Your review is going to help alot of people understand the major difference. So thank you for that ♥️
I hadn't looked at the ingredients lists before but you are right, the Suqqu has silicones so that might account for the textural difference. I think the new meteorites are very nice. They may be a bit different and warmer than the original but the quality of the product is definitely still there. I think you will enjoy them!

I’m almost wondering if the new version is more close in overall effect to the Medium in the original line? I wonder how new Medium will look like. So many questions - lol! I was disappointed to learn that holiday edition will be #2, but now I definitely want it as I believe it will be a new version and it will be different from my original #2! This was super helpful!
I really hope they release more shades soon. I was pretty disappointed about the holiday shade too. I heard that after filming and now I wish I had waited as I really want that container! Lol.
Thanks so much Lexi! Oh my word, why does Guerlain fix what isn't broke? Do they think that everyone with pale skin has suddenly changed their complexion? Happily, I have lots left from my old tin (takes me literally years to get through one) and I have the Ltd. Ed. rosy tin from a few years ago that I can use as blusher. I was thinking if a buy a new one now maybe I can mix the sides all together and get a middle-ground shade. There are def micro-glitters in the old Light version (I don't think it's the same in all shades). I was thinking could that be a reason for the extra radiance in the old(?) I think the Guerlain PPF could be useful for touch-ups in some areas rather than an all over. I'll need a new foundation soon, I don't think this G PPF will be it alone, but maybe an add-on. As for Chanel, thanks for trying and Burberry's liquid lipsticks are very pretty colours BUT I am drowning in lipsticks.
Thank you! I think all the companies are reformulating to remove talc and that seems to be the major reason for the reformulation. It's interesting that it is all at once though. I am really hoping they make more meteorites like the rosy one from a few years ago. I love that one! I took some of the meteorites from different shades and created my own, I think you will like the effect. I think you are right about the micro-glitters. The number of liquid lipstick launches this year is dizzying!
Oh my goodness - I'm so disappointed! I love my meteorites but definitely not the new version. Thankyou for making us aware. I may still be able to get the old version. I was wondering if the new number one would be similar to the old number two (clair ) hope I'm making sense.
I'm definitely curious about the new color line and when we will see those show up. The Guerlain site makes it sound like this is it for now but yet it is still labeled number 2.
I haven't seen the old version around for a while. You might be able to find them in store somewhere but online they seem to be the newer version. Check for talc and the 25 g size for the original version.
Oh no I bought the cristal one and haven’t gotten it yet but it looks peachier than I thought :( and I heard it was creamier . Pfft bummed before I even receive it lol 😅
I'm wondering if there is a different formulation or manufacturing for US product. I know Dior has done that in the past. I had heard it was creamier too so I was really looking forward to that.
I haven’t tried the CL but i prefer the gucci for setting powder. The Guerlain has a bit more coverage than the gucci so it is better for foundation purposes. Formula wise i prefer the gucci though.
Hi Lexi Chanel quad is beautiful on you, but i like the other one, the lighter warmer better. Do you know when its going to be available online? The meteorites i never liked them. Its way too much parfume in them😱 . I like that first lipstick color. I wish Dior had something like this warm in their new laques. I would like one to get, but not sure that any of those shades are warm. And i dont like the coral one. I never used compact foundation, not sure if i like it, especially my skin is more sensitive with Retina use. Have a blessed day🙏❤️

Hi Lexi, I am skipping the whole Chanel Fall collection (except the nail polish), I think it's nothing special. I am disappointed in the new Guerlain Meteorites, I have the old one in the light shade and I do not like the warmer shade. Powder foundation is out for mature skin. I saw Guerlain finally has the Parure gold matte on the US website but not the radiance, which is what I wanted . I am also over all these new liquid lipsticks.
Guerlain Perure Gold matte one of the best foundations I ever tried. It doesn’t have matte finish - it looks very natural. It was released a year ago in Canada and for me it became the best one since then.

Hey Lexi!! How would you say the Guerlain compares to the La Mer powder foundation? I picked up Suqqu the cream foundation in the 105 shade- We are similar in skin tone. t did oxidize a bit on me and bc I shopped from Cult Beauty- I can't even return it (I'm in NC, USA). I'm nervous to try the powder foundation in Suqqu since I can't return as easy. I enjoy a powder foundation (dry skin girl) for those lazy days- where I can grab a Sonia G Masterface or niji pro and just even things out. I'll pass on the guerlain - I trust your review. Can we still get the OLD meteorites in 02 claire?
I haven't tried the La Mer powder foundation. Sorry! You can still find the old meteorites in some stores and some people have successfully ordered it online but it's a risk now as to whether you will get the new or old version. I would scour your local stores and see if you can find it or call a Nordstrom or department store that is in a small town and they may have it. I typically have good luck finding things that way.
I'm about an hour from Raleigh- and I'm heading there today- I've never been to their Nordstrom. I tried their Saks- which was terrible. Nothing remotely new- and always out of stock. It's decent for YSL purses. I'll check out Norstrom today!! Thanks girlie!! I got them, the limited edition ones. I liked the box in person, but feels really light and rather cheap. Does the original silver one also feels as light? Also, I feel like the balls are so little of a quantity.. maybe 10 or so, but the box feels rather empty. About the results - I like them! I like the golden sheen they give. I don't know about the original formula, I was sure I won't like these cos of hos yellow they seem, but frankly I love looking like a golden disco ball hahahha The smell tho, the smell surprised me.. to me it smells like cucumbers, so weird.. I know it's suppose to be a violets, but why I smell a cucumbers mixed with some flower maybe? The smell isnt even that strong to my nose.. do you smell the same thing? Is the fragrance of the original formula the same or its just this limited edition? All and all, I expected to be disappointed and to see no result. But I was surprised of how much I enjoyed them. Yes the result is minimal, but the whole process of putting them on is a pleasure for me. So its a hit for me. I wonder if I should get the original formula if I find it, pls tell me about the box - has it always been so light? Oh, also, mine didn't came broken! Yeyyyy. I don't think there was even one broken one which I was so happy about lol
The regular box is also lightweight like the holiday version. They have decreased the amount from 25 g to 22 g of product which is a shame but it really takes a while to use these up anyway. I'm glad yours were not broken at all. It's weird that you smell cucumbers but I smell violets in all of my meteorites. I feel like the newer ones are slightly less intense but the scent is the same. The original is cooler in tone which I prefer. If you like that shade, then I would pick it up if you come across them.
They changed the meteorites? Does Sephora still have the old version? I definitely like the cooler version . I want to get one of the older ones before it's gone 😭 * I want to get the newer ones in the green holiday package.
You might be able to find the old ones in store but it looks like the ones online at Sephora are now the new version. I would definitely recommend getting the new ones in the holiday packaging. I'm so sad that it's the same color because I really wanted that container!

Thank you! I prefer the older shade as well but the new one gives a candlelit glow so if that is a good shade for you, I would definitely recommend the holiday one in the beautiful green canister. The canister is metal. The smell is a violet scent and it is too much for some people. I personally love it so it isn't too strong for me but it is definitely there.
@@LexiJong That's the thing, I have no idea how violets smell like hahah The problem that the new formula has from what I saw/read everywhere is that they are easily breakable and they come on dust very often, they aren't as firm as the original old formula.. also its 22 g and not 25, which is a bit of a let down... I've read an article, how in the past, each little ball was individually shaped by one of the 4 people who knew the secrets of the meteorites. Now they come in deformed shapes and broken, so the quality has gone down a lot or the quality control at least. I never owned them previously, but I wonder if I should risk at all..ahh, its tough cos they are pricy.
It's hard to say if they truly aren't as firm because I have had some older versions that are just as powdery in some of the limited edition canisters so I am not sure exactly how much of a difference there really is. The size difference is a disappointment but honestly, it takes many years of daily use to use up a container so it isn't that big of a deal imo. Violets are a light floral scent but it is a brighter, fruitier floral vs. a greener scent imo. Perhaps you can find them in store. The crushed up pieces are nice for a highlighter and then once that powder is gone, you shouldn't have breakage issues. I think it is mostly from them jostling around during shipping. If you are just using them with a brush everyday, I don't think it will be an issue. But try to find some in store so you can see how broken they are. I have purchased the new light and the holiday light ones (same color) but one of mine was more powdery than the other. Neither of them were terrible though.

Hmmm… I definitely preferred the original as a highlighter, but overall buffered over the face it looks pretty similar. I’m interested to see what the holiday release Meteorites colors are!

Hi Lexi ! Thank you so much for demoing and reviewing the Chanel quad in Parure Cristal - the lightest and coolest-toned quad in the Baroque collection. I love the look you created. As my eyes are deep-set, my quest is to lighten my lids rather than to make them recede so this quad is right up my alley. With respect to the new Meteorites, I suspect some people will be disappointed - fewer grams, 1 year shelf life, change in tone. Thank you for reviewing the Guerlain Parure powder foundation; I now plan on purchasing instead the Suqqu powder foundation - what shade are you? That Burberry liquid lipstick shade is gorgeous on you - stunning! - I hope this collection will soon be available in Canada. Thanks again Lexi for an excellent roundup of new releases.
Thank you Jocelyne. The only problem with the Suqqu powder foundation is their shade range. I have shade 210 which is a little too deep. Perhaps 110 would be better but their lighter shades are not represented in this line. At this time they are not adding any additional shades so I make do with the 210. They are releasing a new liquid foundation soon with a new lighter shade in 205 though so I'm looking forward to that and will keep asking for more shades in the powder foundation.

Half way through this one I went and found your video on the Suqqu Glow Powder Foundation from 2021 and I can see why you prefer that compared to the Guerlain one and that is now on my wish list! Hi dear Lexi, i watched the first part of the video yeterday and now the entire video again, such a good video, and i love a good salty comment especially for Chanel!!!👍👍🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 I was very happy with these quads, bought 3 of them, and, after Chanel bored me for decades (born 1970) they really start to make the makeup that we want, more and more. Much has to be learned, like leaving out the fragrance from foundations, but it takes quite a while before they listen. However, with some stuff i'm really happy, like the Mediterrannee quad from last year spring, their magic concealer, but why in a jar, they made an eye pencil that stays put but does not hurt my eyes anymore like their waterproof liner does, they make good lipgloss, hate all their bronzers, they can go back to school to learn that lighter people want cooler undertones, but love their Rêve de Camelia highlighter, their Blush/Highlighter from this spring, with corresponding quad! The tweed quads, so, so. Their normal quads, ok. Liquid and cream shadows, they are not the best. Blush, the first one i dared to swatch (did not wear yet) is their new one from the autumn collection with leafs on it, have the cooler tone, think i'm gonna use a squirrel brush because that is pigmented, but beautiful, this blush! Are they irritating? Yes! Making also mini versions of their for me not working cream bronzer, but loved the formula, instead of thinking about colours and undertones. In short: Chanel do what they want, no matter what we want. But these, i have to give it to them, very good! I saw already in another comment that they are gonna solve it for you with this quad, and they have to, Lexi! The other products, beautiful, Jones Road keeps surprising! I love her bronzer so much, in color 2, a normal fool proof bronzer with a good effect and good undertone!!! And love colour 1 for a natural blush!!! Loved the whole video, and what is said here, you always help so good that we make the right choices!!! I cannot always buy via your links living in The Netherlands, especially with EU products, but that comment is so true, you do an amazing job, thank you!!!!👏👏🤩🤩👏👏😘😘
Hi Annemarie! You are totally right - there is always room for improvement and these big brands still have a way to go although they have had some amazing releases! Chanel is going to take care of the quad and let me exchange it for an intact one. Some people have shared with me that this happened to them too so it's something to watch for just in case. I have the pressed powder guerlain foundation. It matches closely color range wise to the terracotta liquid foundation. I wear the same color in both. Ive tested it out in super humid weather and its held up nicely as both a finishing overlay and alone. It is scented which could bother some. I love the larger mirror in the case. Its a little awkward to open.

Those Burberry liquid lipsticks have been on my list for a couple of months now. They have a vivid pink that I’m eyeing with. I’ve been good with resisting the CT and Lisa Eldridge liquid lipsticks, especially because I didn’t find the colours very special.
Yes! I wanted to get that pink but it was not available when I ordered. I have a few more liquid lipsticks to try like the new Givenchy and I have some Lisa Eldridge coming as well. I think we will have to rank them soon!

I thought Parure Cristal was more mauve than peach. Your swatches are usually spot on. Am I right about the way I'm seeing those colors? Plus it is so much better wet, but I'm too impatient. I'd wear this once. You just saved me $70. But I saw your link to Holt Renfrew. Were you able to get them to ship to the US? I didn't know that Burberry had made a liquid lipstick. The colors are different than they are in the bullet. The old Oxblood is more blue/red and deeper. I also loved Russet, but that looks a bit redder on the website. I thought so too but unfortunately it really is more peach. I'm guessing the venetienne quad is even warmer. I purchased from the Aventura boutique in Florida - I added the contact info to the box but had forgotten to put it there at first. The quads are available in US boutiques right now and online soon. @@LexiJong So do I. I'm only 15 minutes from the Tysons Galleria. I wish they had makeup there. It says online that they do, but they never used to. Plus they were appointment only and may still be. I'm not going to book an appointment to check out a lipstick, even if they have them. I get the exclusivity angle. It helps them charge more. But they've made shopping in DC such a pain. I guess that's why you and I are buying from SAs in Miami. If I find anything new out, I'll let you know. Although, if I had a makeup loving friend (😉), and some cash for a launch that I really wanted, City Center could be a great excuse to meet for lunch.

I was originally excited about the Chanel quads 😅but I'm glad I waited and watched reviews. The warm toned palette has a topper shade w a noticeable bright green shift... Nothing I want to put in my inner corner on a daily look😢sad really the other shades looked nice. The red&green one was nicer but the green actually is lighter than I thought. Now I'm hoping the Guerlain will be good. The green and wine shade look deeper and it seems to have a champagne shimmer 😊

Hi Lexi !! Thanks for another informative review . I love my Meteorites . I think the new one looks nice but I prefer the old one as it looks slightly more brighter on the skin . I’m passing on the Chanel eyeshadow as like you said are dryer and not very pigmented. Agree they look better wet on the eye . The lipsticks look amazing on the wear test . Still using my double ended Chanel duo , so far can’t find one to beat it . But these look like a strong contender 😊❤
Hi Bridget! The Burberry are amazing! Very different from the Chanel but still a great formula. Chanel was very innovative with their duos and I'm hoping to see more like that from them in the future.
Love meteorites, so pretty, but sadly anything with bismuth oxichloride makes me itch like crazy, which the old formula had. Makes so many glow powders a no-go for me so maybe I can make this reformation work.

You do such an amazing job Lexi of your swatches! I am speaking of your review of both the powder foundation and Meteorites. Do you think the powder foundation formulation is an issue because there are no silicones in it? You mentioned the other brand is nicer but I'm wondering if it's because that product has silicones in it. And I am so happy the Meteorites is warmer in nature. I am so looking forward to this slightly warmer reformulation. I've never owned meteorites before as I was always hesitant because of the talc and it would look too pale. Your review is going to help alot of people understand the major difference. So thank you for that ♥️
I hadn't looked at the ingredients lists before but you are right, the Suqqu has silicones so that might account for the textural difference. I think the new meteorites are very nice. They may be a bit different and warmer than the original but the quality of the product is definitely still there. I think you will enjoy them!

Thanks so much Lexi! Oh my word, why does Guerlain fix what isn't broke? Do they think that everyone with pale skin has suddenly changed their complexion? Happily, I have lots left from my old tin (takes me literally years to get through one) and I have the Ltd. Ed. rosy tin from a few years ago that I can use as blusher. I was thinking if a buy a new one now maybe I can mix the sides all together and get a middle-ground shade. There are def micro-glitters in the old Light version (I don't think it's the same in all shades). I was thinking could that be a reason for the extra radiance in the old(?) I think the Guerlain PPF could be useful for touch-ups in some areas rather than an all over. I'll need a new foundation soon, I don't think this G PPF will be it alone, but maybe an add-on. As for Chanel, thanks for trying and Burberry's liquid lipsticks are very pretty colours BUT I am drowning in lipsticks.
Thank you! I think all the companies are reformulating to remove talc and that seems to be the major reason for the reformulation. It's interesting that it is all at once though. I am really hoping they make more meteorites like the rosy one from a few years ago. I love that one! I took some of the meteorites from different shades and created my own, I think you will like the effect. I think you are right about the micro-glitters. The number of liquid lipstick launches this year is dizzying!

I haven't seen the old version around for a while. You might be able to find them in store somewhere but online they seem to be the newer version. Check for talc and the 25 g size for the original version.

I haven’t tried the CL but i prefer the gucci for setting powder. The Guerlain has a bit more coverage than the gucci so it is better for foundation purposes. Formula wise i prefer the gucci though.
Hi Lexi Chanel quad is beautiful on you, but i like the other one, the lighter warmer better. Do you know when its going to be available online? The meteorites i never liked them. Its way too much parfume in them😱 . I like that first lipstick color. I wish Dior had something like this warm in their new laques. I would like one to get, but not sure that any of those shades are warm. And i dont like the coral one. I never used compact foundation, not sure if i like it, especially my skin is more sensitive with Retina use. Have a blessed day🙏❤️

Hi Lexi, I am skipping the whole Chanel Fall collection (except the nail polish), I think it's nothing special. I am disappointed in the new Guerlain Meteorites, I have the old one in the light shade and I do not like the warmer shade. Powder foundation is out for mature skin. I saw Guerlain finally has the Parure gold matte on the US website but not the radiance, which is what I wanted . I am also over all these new liquid lipsticks.
Guerlain Perure Gold matte one of the best foundations I ever tried. It doesn’t have matte finish - it looks very natural. It was released a year ago in Canada and for me it became the best one since then.
At least you are saving money because I think holiday releases are going to be good this year! At least I'm hoping for that!

I would say they are similar enough. I would choose the CdP over the Chanel as that formula is nicer.
Hey Lexi!! How would you say the Guerlain compares to the La Mer powder foundation? I picked up Suqqu the cream foundation in the 105 shade- We are similar in skin tone. t did oxidize a bit on me and bc I shopped from Cult Beauty- I can't even return it (I'm in NC, USA). I'm nervous to try the powder foundation in Suqqu since I can't return as easy. I enjoy a powder foundation (dry skin girl) for those lazy days- where I can grab a Sonia G Masterface or niji pro and just even things out. I'll pass on the guerlain - I trust your review. Can we still get the OLD meteorites in 02 claire?
I haven't tried the La Mer powder foundation. Sorry! You can still find the old meteorites in some stores and some people have successfully ordered it online but it's a risk now as to whether you will get the new or old version. I would scour your local stores and see if you can find it or call a Nordstrom or department store that is in a small town and they may have it. I typically have good luck finding things that way.
I'm about an hour from Raleigh- and I'm heading there today- I've never been to their Nordstrom. I tried their Saks- which was terrible. Nothing remotely new- and always out of stock. It's decent for YSL purses. I'll check out Norstrom today!! Thanks girlie!! I stay busy and don't get to go out physically shopping much since I own Carolina Clinical Counseling- and I'm a licensed mental health counselor- you are my favorite to watch- we have a similar skin tone.. Also, I feel like the balls are so little of a quantity.. maybe 10 or so, but the box feels rather empty. About the results - I like them! I like the golden sheen they give. I don't know about the original formula, I was sure I won't like these cos of hos yellow they seem, but frankly I love looking like a golden disco ball hahahha The smell tho, the smell surprised me.. to me it smells like cucumbers, so weird.. I know it's suppose to be a violets, but why I smell a cucumbers mixed with some flower maybe? The smell isnt even that strong to my nose.. do you smell the same thing? Is the fragrance of the original formula the same or its just this limited edition? All and all, I expected to be disappointed and to see no result. But I was surprised of how much I enjoyed them. Yes the result is minimal, but the whole process of putting them on is a pleasure for me. So its a hit for me. I wonder if I should get the original formula if I find it, pls tell me about the box - has it always been so light? Oh, also, mine didn't came broken! Yeyyyy. I don't think there was even one broken one which I was so happy about lol
The regular box is also lightweight like the holiday version. They have decreased the amount from 25 g to 22 g of product which is a shame but it really takes a while to use these up anyway. I'm glad yours were not broken at all. It's weird that you smell cucumbers but I smell violets in all of my meteorites. I feel like the newer ones are slightly less intense but the scent is the same. The original is cooler in tone which I prefer. If you like that shade, then I would pick it up if you come across them.
They changed the meteorites? Does Sephora still have the old version? I definitely like the cooler version . I want to get one of the older ones before it's gone 😭

You might be able to find the old ones in store but it looks like the ones online at Sephora are now the new version. I would definitely recommend getting the new ones in the holiday packaging. I'm so sad that it's the same color because I really wanted that container!
@@LexiJong I am so sad that nowhere around me carries Guerlain instore 😭 but I'll definitely get the new one in the holiday packaging. That sucks I'm so sorry you already have that color, maybe buy it for the packaging and just refill it but I know those things last forever so it doesn't really make sense to buy another one in the same color I mean unless u really want the packaging but the regular packing is pretty to atleast but I love green it is my favorite color so I'm gonna wait for that one. I still can't believe they changed the color of it , I mean not everyone will want a warmer tone especially if that's a holy grail in that specific color. I know some people will be upset.

Thank you! I prefer the older shade as well but the new one gives a candlelit glow so if that is a good shade for you, I would definitely recommend the holiday one in the beautiful green canister. The canister is metal. The smell is a violet scent and it is too much for some people. I personally love it so it isn't too strong for me but it is definitely there.
@@LexiJong That's the thing, I have no idea how violets smell like hahah The problem that the new formula has from what I saw/read everywhere is that they are easily breakable and they come on dust very often, they aren't as firm as the original old formula.. also its 22 g and not 25, which is a bit of a let down... I've read an article, how in the past, each little ball was individually shaped by one of the 4 people who knew the secrets of the meteorites. Now they come in deformed shapes and broken, so the quality has gone down a lot or the quality control at least. I never owned them previously, but I wonder if I should risk at all..ahh, its tough cos they are pricy.
It's hard to say if they truly aren't as firm because I have had some older versions that are just as powdery in some of the limited edition canisters so I am not sure exactly how much of a difference there really is. The size difference is a disappointment but honestly, it takes many years of daily use to use up a container so it isn't that big of a deal imo. Violets are a light floral scent but it is a brighter, fruitier floral vs. a greener scent imo. Perhaps you can find them in store. The crushed up pieces are nice for a highlighter and then once that powder is gone, you shouldn't have breakage issues. I think it is mostly from them jostling around during shipping. If you are just using them with a brush everyday, I don't think it will be an issue. But try to find some in store so you can see how broken they are. I have purchased the new light and the holiday light ones (same color) but one of mine was more powdery than the other. Neither of them were terrible though.
