I just bought one decided to find an instructional vid, will report back with results....
eta; its the best coffee you will get in a camping/hiking scenario. Uses a bit of water to clean if you are carrying all your water. Only valid comparison is a plunger style device which makes more volume easier. I used quality ground coffee which takes the same space/weight penalty as disgusting instant coffee. The pump takes less effort than she makes out. This makes great coffee, glad i bought it. You have to be efficient with yr technique tho or the hot water loses its temp. Would recommend in right use case, it's fun and ritualistic.

It's not a game changer, the game (making espresso) remains the same , heat and pressure still required. It does offer some portability and it seems to function as advertised. But in no way do the parameters for making espresso change by using this device.
You have to use a fine Espresso roast coffee grind. It’s simple to use and works great.

I think it's a manual tool. Not a machine, because it hasn't got any engine.
Neither do pretty much any "Exspresso" machine. Heating coil(s) or some flame of sorts, valves, pressure release valves...

This is the budget friendly one of them, although Picopresso got very good value for money
@antilopo I think the picopresso is pretty budget friendly considering there are other machines that cost twice as much and can barely produce anything close to an espresso.
