Hello there from Ireland.
Just a question I own a e90 BMW 2009 year I decided to lower the car.
I have installed just the sport lowering springs with the stock shock absorbers.
The rear is perfect very smooth drive it's just the front that is giving me trouble in low speed eg 20kmh small knocks are coming out the right side.had it checked everything is looking fine.My guy told me that it's looking like the shock absorbers is gonne.What would be your opinion on that please? many thanks.And all the best with your channel
I changed my shocks 3 times with OEM shocks and I still have wobbly suspension and a lot of diving under braking. E60 535 awd.
OEM shocks prob too soft? Springs can be too soft for ur liking

Hello , allow me ask you , I have a F10
And guy mechanic guy wasn’t able to replace them with just basic shocks absorber, he said I needed them to be VDC / electronic mode , also keep in mind I have ECO / Comfort / Comfort + / SPORT and SPORT +, amd I couldn’t find them for a reasonable price , so I went with the original BMW manufacture .
Was that necessary ???
You have electronic dampers. I’d say you did right thing.
You don’t want cheap parts of that type on your car.

My 2015 528i is making a loud humming noise from the beach left side. It feels like the exhaust honestly. It happenes at 40 mph and plus. Any idea of what it can be? Can it be the shock. I see oil in my shock also.
Maybe axle or wheel bearing
So if it’s happening when you’re driving around the exhaust/ below your car then it’s your differential driveshaft joint, driveshaft bearing, or rubber disc. I had same issue and replaced it and went away.

Nice vid, thanks. My E60 530i (Sport) with hydraulic-active roll bars, 115k miles has just started making a "knock - knock - knock" sound when I am turning 90 degrees left @ 15-20MPH. The car stays stored outdoors 24/7/365. What do you guess the problem is?
knocking when turning, i'd guess a bad ball joint first off.
