Out of all the stars, for some reason it is the crew of Red Dwarf that I want to meet one day. Just sound like a genuinely great group of people to talk to, very down to earth.
I’m exactly the same! I’ve been dying to meet them, and I’ve heard many great stories from online friends who’ve met them. Here’s to hoping once this COVID mess is finally safe enough, there’s a chance somewhere to meet them.

2:05 Trivia: In Red Dwarf Series 2, there was a scene that was cut from "Thanks For The Memory" which a drunken Rimmer tells Lister, Cat and Holly that he once tried to get in the space Freemasons but they wouldn't accept him.

I realise that's probably blindingly obvious to everyone, it's just I somehow got it into my head that the new episode was just a high definition revamping for TV. I'd hate for even one person to miss out on enjoying them both.
Other than Fully Charged and Robot Wars, this is the first I've seen of the Red Dwarf cast outside of the show. It's very charming. Craig Charles is amazing - witty and relaxed. The banter is great. Awesome concept Robert. Just wish I was a bit better with British accents.

With the leaps and bounds in technology, CGI or animation could bring the red dwarf books to life as a trilogy of films

@CHANNELOMD Very interesting point. Obviously many people have commented about Craig smoking in the car. It is not in fact a paid interview, so in the strictest sense it is not a workplace. That said, I now wouldn't allow anyone to smoke in the car, this was recorded over a year ago.

I am always interested in comments like yours. There;s a very popular series of myths about hybrid cars which have been encouraged by certain parts of the press. Chemicals used in manufacturing cars are harmful, any new car has a toxic trail no matter what powers it. A hybrid car uses considerably less gasoline once it is made. If you look at the overall lifecycle of a hybrid, it's impact is massively reduced. If you do the same with an all electric car, the impact is miniscule. Gas is dead.

In fairness I wasnt allowed to stay in the mailbox either, holiday inn is the way to go down that way, the travelodge in the centre is ok but parking looks like a bombsite, which is fine for hire cars, the radisson Blu similar to the Travelodge.

What? They're driving from the Warren Lodge hotel in Shepperton village square (where I guess he was staying) to Shepperton studios where they were filming Red Dwarf. They drove a little bit longer round back on themselves. You can see my house in this video.

@CHANNELOMD Very amusing comments, I do in fact know some firm breasted heterosexual women who are very concerned about things like climate change and the massive waste of natural resources caused by big inefficient cars. Anyway, when this was recorded, no one was being paid. In fact the opposite, it was costing me money!
