I have only just discovered your channel and vids. Very useful. I think watching these will give me the confidence to attempt these type of jobs. I learn from watching someone who knows what they are doing, rather than me trying to figure it out from a Haynes Manual. Some jobs I'm OK with, but wheel bearings, ball joints etc, which I have never tackled before, watching your work is really helpful. Thank you.
hopefully this will help you, and others. this was my aim when starting up the channel if i can help at least one person then i have achieved. thanks for watching and keep the feedback coming in.
William, Great how to video with good info. The call to Paul P was a nice touch and shows we all need to asked for advice or help at times as nobody as all the answers and thanks for the shout out! I‘m sure the owner will be well impressed. Cheers Dave
Of course, nobody is perfect and if that knowledge can be shared all the better :) the next video is ready to go but just need to work out if Friday or Saturday is best

No mate there is a number of different torque specs for a number of different models. I'm not 100% sure how you would work it out if you have fitted after market hubs from an unknown model...
Hi, how can I know what kind of pads and shoes my Rover Mini uses? I am seeing at Mini Spares different sizes 7.5 and 8.4, many thanks! www.minispares.com/shop/classic/Brakes/Front/Pads~shoes.aspx?040103
Great question. The mini 25 was the first mini to be fitted as standard with 12" wheels and 8.4" discs and all minis after this date were fitted with 8.4" Other tell tail signs with the wheel removed, smaller disc and the drive flange is different. The 8.4 studs are removable and the 7.5 wheel studs are pre fitted to the discs. I hope this helps

William, great videos mate :)
Thanks Sean 😀
If in doubt use torque setting FT
Pretty much 😂😂
I thought they were all 250-260nm
Great tip about remembering to pump the pedal before driving off

Many thanks for your response, my tires are 12', so I assume the mini will use the 8.4'. Many thanks again for the response and all your videos 🙌🏼
@@jflongas 9/10 that would be correct. What year is your mini?
@@WilliamMurfitt It's a 1993, the Japanese version, RHD with AC.
@@jflongas unless it's been converted back to 10" wheels its will 99.9% be on 8.4" discs
I had a bloke tell me that he sprayed the disc and pads with wd40 because it was making a squeaking sound , he was Chinese so I said goodbye ...Rick
Wow that's amazing 😲😲😲
