Wow it’s crazy to get this perspective. I want more of these videos by the guys who work everyday on these guns. Ya know when you become a master at something you develop quicker faster ways which leads you to becoming a master at that skill.
Jiffer, agree it is cool to watch our guys work on the guns. I pick up on little things. For example, it never occurred to me that when working on the optics ready slide, you can use your thumb like Alex did to hold down the firing pin and install the rear cover plate. You would normally need a punch because you are also depressing the plunger assembly....but this isn't necessary on these slides. It's the little things!
Man, I'm glad I watched this video. My MR920 Elite is a model that doesn't have the optic cut (intentional by me), but my MR920L does. Yup, I'd have been wondering WTF is going on when I popped off the slide plate and there was no extractor spring visible. LOL
If I understand correctly you guys are saying that on a slide with the optic already mounted; you would need to remove the optic to remove the ejector. can anyone confirm this is correct?
Yeah I just took my backplate off and thought I had my extractor plunger shoot off and me not see it because I was like where the hell is the extractor plunger. Spent an hour looking on the floor with a flashlight. Didn’t know y’all shortened it and had it retained with a pen to make the optics system work.
Anyone got the email for Holosun to report a bad optic? My 507C on the Warpoet, one of the buttons stopped working. Other than that the gun is bombproof! Love it!!!
OK. So I just bought a CR920 and generally love it. However... When I saw how the extractor spring was pinned in to make room for deeper optics mounting screws I had a sickly realization. I have to remove my optic to remove the extractor assembly? Thats true from this video. Unless you can explain how it isn't true... Crap.

Watching these so that when might gets here, I can keep it clean and functioning perfectly. Thanks for the video.

I look forward to Tech Tuesdays !! Super cool to see the folks that are part of the team showing us the "best" ways !! Love my MR !!
Mark, glad you like the videos. We'll continue to incorporate other members of the team. Trevor
Just bought my wife the mr920...absolutely love it myself, she is stoked to get out on the range...not bad for her first gun
Thanks for the info guys. I love my MR 920 pistol. It is an awesome firearm.
I really wish they would bring this series back.
We post a new Tech Tuesday almost weekly! Check out the playlist on our channel!
@ShadowSystemsCorp I will. Thank you. I'm actually on the fence right now of buying a xr920. Any content on that would be greatly appreciated
Way easier than the way Trevor did it
So confirming, you need to remove the optic if you want to remove the extractor for cleaning?
So how often should the be disassembled for cleaning? I imagine the optics would have to be sighted in each time.
how would disassembly of the non-optics ready slide be different? would it be the same as a standard glock slide?

It would awesome if they offered a brushed (stainless) version of the mr920

OK. So, yes, I should have read the other comments first. Yes. I have to remove the optic. Yeah... crap.
Love my MR920 War Poet. Do you guys sell shadow systems shirts?
Wait. Does that mean you have to remove the optic in order to fully disassemble the slide ?
Looks that way. Though there is a trick to remove the firing pin safety/spring and extractor with an optic mounted.
@@fullfire0 how do you do that?
Semper Fi! 🇺🇸
Is there a recommended way to disassemble and reassemble the extractor spring when an optic is mounted?
The optic would need to be removed to access the tensioning pin.
Can you remove the extractor from the front without removing the optic on an MR920?
Yes there is a trick to doing so I believe. I can tell you if you still wanna know
@@fullfire0 please explain how to remove without removing the optic. Thanks.
@@garrettloo8810 So I misspoke, I can get the firing pin safety/spring out but the extractor won't come out that way
yeah thanks for nothing lol
