    Thank you for these instructional-educational videos. They are really helpful and give me more confidence in the Shadow Systems products. I’m really looking forward as you move forward in releasing more videos; as well as, wish you the best in your future design products. I recently bought myself the MR920L non threaded barrel pistol and my son-in-law the MR920 Elite threaded barrel. We are both pleased.

    I just thought I’d tell you I love in upstate NY I finally got my MR 920 Elite no body had heard of you guys which I couldn’t believe if I have how could they not but running’s was able to come thru . Put my holosun on went to the range and at 10 or 15 yards couldn’t come anywhere near the bullseye. Couple small malfunctions went out last Sunday and after about the 500 round count everything just started going so much smoother. Adjusted my holosun after they say you don’t have to and at 15 yards I couldn’t miss I’m so happy I am now carrying this as my edc and couldn’t be happier. I am very happy with the whole package !!!!! Thank you for making a quality pistol that I don’t feel I have to do anything else to it. I would like a metal mag well in different colors but that’s up to you guys thank you

    A Shadow Systems G48 would be my next (and perfect) CCW if it was produced. The MR920 is great and is currently my CCW but a thinner option would be very nice too. Vendors are releasing new WML's and red dots specific for the thinner "single stacks" late this year, and the market is headed in that direction (G43/G48/P365/etc...). I think there will be a large market for G48-like clones next year.

    Absolutely love my MR920 with your 20lb spring. 😁. The tolerances and accuracy on this fire arm, are terrific. Fella next to me at the range had a new out of box G5 19, and kept looking at the S. S. Grouping a quarter at 10 yards.

      Why did you swap the spring to a heavier one? Are you running a suppressor?

    USE BLUE LOCK, mine I don’t think was put on right by factory bc as soon as I took my mr920p apart spring was completely disassembled from the rest of the rod. I found the screw on the floor in my room after over an hour of looking. Put it back in WITHOUT blue lock and later that day at work (in a server) I was sweeping my tables at the end of the night, and I found the screw ON THE FLOOR AT WORK. I picked it up not even thinking about it and I was like “hey this just like that one screw from my pistol. So I picked it up and now today I’m about to go to range and my blue lock just came in so I went to go blue lock the screws for my sight and guid rod and sure enough the screw was missing on that screw I found on the floor was infact fie my pistol. THANK GOD I not only noticed it but decided to pick up the screw and take it home just in case bc I genuinely was like “no way this is the screw” when I saw it but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to throw it In my pocket. Do not trust the factory to blue lock it for u. Blue lock it ur self. Super frustrating experience but I learned a valuable lesson

    Great video! I just purchased my first mr920 last week, and wow what an amazing gun. Being a Wilson Combat diehard it takes a lot to impress me on the polymer guns side. Keep up the good work. Any suggestion on how to keep the Glock style guide rod springs from sounding so squeaky? I’ve tried multiple oils and some help more than others but I noticed your is much quieter. More break-in?

    • @ShadowSystemsCorp
      @ShadowSystemsCorp  4 года назад +2

      The squeak! Some squeak, some don't. Some of our guns squeak too. Oil helps, break in helps. The squeak is perfectly normal, however. And you sure won't hear it when you are actually shooting!

    • @worstcasescenarioch
      @worstcasescenarioch 3 года назад

      More break-in and some Ballistol being sprayed on the coils (be sure to work the coils out so it penetrates).

    My spring assembly squeaks real loud every time I rack it, I tried oiling the rod and put about 400 bullets through but still it's loud. Any fixes? This is my home defense weapon, so if I have to rack it in the night with an intruder...it's going to be a loud, squeaky giveaway to where I am. I see that you say some squeak, some don't, any chance I can get an exchange for one that doesn't squeak? Absolutely love the weapon otherwise.

  • @wdiddy1

    My sight screw came loose on my MR918 after only 700 rounds and it was a pain to find a wrench that would fit the screw and also fit through the slide openings. You should include this wrench with the gun as it was too hard to find one that fit, i had to buy a regular nut driver and grind it thinner to fit through the slide holes.

    From the SSC website: ** Due to High Demand, This product is unavailable until further notice. **
    Sweet timing on the video! All kidding aside, it appears as if one can add the spring(s) to one's cart anyway. Hard to say if the order will actually process. I actually stopped by to look for any different weight firing system springs. No luck though.

    • @ShadowSystemsCorp

      The MR920/DR920 recoil spring is a single spring system on a stainless guide rod. It will fit Gen4 and Gen5 Glocks. Trevor

    do the frames use P80 rails or injection molded rails?

    • @ShadowSystemsCorp
      @ShadowSystemsCorp  4 года назад +2

      We use a conventional overmolded rail. It is permanently part of the frame, similar to a Glock handgun. We have no association with P80 and do not follow their design principles in the rails in our frame.

      Glock gen 4 recoil springs work great. They are quieter and they have less recoil. I use the gen 4 glock springs and the double spring design is way better bro. Single springs are trash

    5,000 rounds off single spring design. Nah. Try 2500 rounds buddy
