Hey Pete… I absolutely love your channel. I am not a golfer, have never played golf. I’m a guitar player in Tennessee. But I have a fascination with people who genuinely love what they do and create content that is wholesome, educational and relaxing to view. You check all the boxes for me. Keep up the good work !!!!
So funny, I’m the opposite. I’ve never played the guitar, but I’ve watched dozens of interviews and breakdowns of elite guitarists, read Keith Richard’s book, and I have two brothers that have been playing the guitar for over a decade. I’m an avid golfer but I’ve always admired, respected and been enamored by guitarists that can do so much with one instrument
I do both, and there is a unique sense of understanding that you need to develop with your guitar before you play it really well, and the same goes for clubs. You’ll never hit a shot as well with a set of clubs that you don’t truly have spent time learning and playing with for ages.
Just did this exact fitting at Titleist National Fitting Center in Toronto Canada. Ended up with the T100s with a T200 4 iron. The thing that I learned about my own delivery, versus being fit before indoors, is how different my delivery is on grass. Whereas my previous indoor Mizuno fit was 'correct' and everything peak height was 100 feet, my outdoor/grass delivery had those clubs at 70 feet - and thus we radically changed shafts to help get be an outdoor grass delivery of 80ft - my 7 iron carry was 172 yards.
That's really a significant drop off in height, glad you got that worked out, Paul. I can't imagine you are the only one to see this kind of discrepancy. It would be an interesting experiment to see just how well the indoor fittings off mats, translate to outdoor/grass deliveries in more realistic conditions. I doubt that turf interaction is so easy to replicate by hitting off mats Good luck and hit'em straight.
@@Rayceemon What I can say is that Canada has a lot of hockey players that have a very handle forward delivery (from learning a slapshot). When I started hitting, the Titleist fitter immediately said "hockey player correct"? He brought me over and showed me the trackman #'s. With only an 82mph swing speed, hitting a 34-degree T100, I was delivering 19-degrees of dynamic loft, resulting in a 1.43 smash factor, 120 ball speed, 5300 spin, 70-75 peak height - but a 168-172 consistent carry (my normal carry #). He said most 'better' non-hockey players deliver 90mph club, 124 ball, 26 degrees dynamic, 1.34 smash, 6400 spin, and then get 170 carry. All that said, I don't feel I do this, but more importantly, I know when I see a ball sitting on grass, I'm much more aware that I have to go down and get the ball - something I never feel I have to do off mats - and it's something I've learned watching TXG videos, and that is Ian will say that everyone within a few shots will change their delivery given what the screen is showing them - and thus I would change my delivery to hit perfect indoor mat shots to get 100ft peak height - but you just don't do that on grass, you have to go down and get the ball. I will never, ever get fit off mats again for irons - I suspect the vast majority of fitting off mats is sub-optimal (unless it's driver, 3wood, long hybrid)
@@wallstreetoneil Yeah, I think you are right. It would show up even more if you are more of a 'digger' in your delivery with the irons, and going down after it, as opposed to a 'picker' of the ball.

I can guarantee that still wouldn’t make me enjoy hitting the Project X iron shafts. I don’t get along with the weighting, the feel, or the performance with my swing. And I could definitely visually tell it apart with or without branding
Peter, that was very interesting! If I was a bit younger (I'm 83) I would definitely go this route. I do not agree with the saying "you can't buy a golf game." I think you can with today's modern technology. For years I played the Titleist DCI irons and they treated me quite well. Best of Luck to you with your T100's!!
I think it depends who you are and what you're capable of. Some people won't have the mobility or strength to have a tour-quality swing and so they could spend millions on lessons and still not have a great swing, whereas others will be able to "buy a good golf game" because they will have the prerequisite mobility and strength in which case it's just a matter of money and time
Got fitted (first time ever) 2 years back to the T200s. Felt I didn’t play enough for the 100s, really really tried to like the 300s because of the price. Very happy with the 200s with the AMT shafts. Feel like I have all the “horsepower” I need and great feel. Keeping up with the young men now. If you don’t get fitted it’s like going to war with rubber bullets. Titleist woods and Vokey wedges too. Treated myself.
Doesn’t matter : it’s a 3:1 ratio ( elapsed time take away to down swing ) Cheap app can film and measure. Make you own swing ( watch Rahm , dude whips it back about half turn ? )
I’m still using my 710AP2. Just had them bent by the same pro who fitted me for them years ago. Gone from 2’ flat to 2’ upright. It pays to get reassessed as your swing changes with age.
I've tried different brands, but always returned to the true clubs.. Mizuno.. simply love them, and feel more as one with them if you can say it like that. 😉
Had the absolute pleasure of having a fitting at their National Fitting Centre in Singapore for a set of wedges. Andrew Rogers was the star fitting man, and the whole experience was out of this world. It was not hurried, the attention to detail was fantastic, and more importantly for me, the back up service and advice given, goes beyond a " normal service" in my opinion. If anyone has the opportunity, just thoroughly enjoy the day with a top class company.
Such a class experience. I did the half-day fitting at TPI in SoCal and I had a fantastic time. Got fitted by Joey Saewitz and the attention to detail was superb.
Getting fitted for your clubs is still so underappreciated by the masses. It did a lot for my game and for scoring better. Great video, Pete. I'll bet you had a blast at Woburn.

I was fitted at the same Titleist centre that your dad was at, in St Ives Cambridge - the guys were so good to me and dialled me right into the clubs I needed - T300, stiff AMT, 1/2 longer and 1 degree upright - such a difference in my game now and Titleist clubs just look so swish!
Great video.. This spring i was custom fit over here in the US for T-200’s 2019 version at @2ndswing for 4 - 48 Deg wedge. Great clubs, love the feel off the forged face and the forgiveness is amazing. Tungsten in the mid to long irons really help on those mishits. Got TENSEI Red AM2 regular flex shafts, 1/2 inch short and 1 deg flat . Best irons ive ever owned and ive been playing nearly 30years !!
Just 2 days ago, I picked up the T100. They were off the shelf with the amt white s300. I regripped to midsize +4. I just retired my Ping I210’s for them. They didn’t have the T100s but I didn’t want that little insert they had in them. Coming from the Ping’s that was one thing that annoyed me, the inserts leaked glue and trapped grime. It was mostly an aesthetic decision. I will say they’re a drastic improvement in feel from the Ping’s. I love them.
I would have separated the qualitative from the quantitative more discretely. Have the fitter steer Peter from his baseline clubs to a better solution using feedback analysis. Then record Peter's input for the qualitative aspect, feel, perception, etc. This way you are not involving the heart with the brain as much and should get a better result. Removing personal bias and subjectivity is the goal. YOu are very lucky Pete, Titleist is amazing.
Love the work you are putting in Peter, before we went into lockdown here in Auckland New Zealand I was due to have a fitting for Titleist clubs so hopefully once we get out of it the fitting will take place - being a 15 handicapper at the moment my teaching pro has me looking at the T200 ( I have to get to 12 before I purchase though - my reward).
Outstanding Pete! Super envious that you were able to receive this fitting. I play a Titleist 718 AP2 iron with the AMT white shafts as well and absolutely love them. Enjoy the new sticks!
6:41 , Sounded like us Aussies (Crikey) just missing the Mate, when the world opens up , come on down to Australia, we love to have ya Pete, cheers Mate from another Golfnut.
Always question these fittings, it would be interesting to see if you immediately went back to mizuno with the new titleist irons to see if they could beat them? Feel like its all a bit of a false economy. Never seen one yet where anyone has said stick with what you have?
Nice video Pete. Have loved my i500s since 2019 but recently had a fitting as my coach saw potential in some newer irons perhaps with a bit more workability. Fitting was with the i59s, T100/200, Srixons on the table. Ended up with the T100s giving me the best results despite me wanting to fall in love with i59s (but not the price). Ultimately I guess I’m the limiting factor on the performance on the club but looking forward to getting to grips with the T100s when they turn up in a few weeks.
Jeezo but that place looked flipping awesome; like a golfing palace. Not sure I would take a line of divots like you did but itd be so good to have a fitting session there. Cheers
One thing i still don't get with modern club fits like this one, why is only a 7 iron used? You're hitting that 180, how often do you have that yardage after a drive. Pw, 9, 8 would be the irons I'd want to be honed into. Did you go though the iron set to check lies and lofts also?
The awesome mobile fitting center rocks! What a great way to display your amazing equipment. I love fitting my clients into all of the current products Titleist have. WTG Team Titleist
Just got fitted for the T100s irons. I was very surprised since they had the smallest heads out of the bunch I tried. Wow did they feel amazing though! So excited for spring to get out on the course and play them.
What a lucky boy Mr Finch is being able to get the place to himself try all latest irons see which suits him best for next years Open & bring us great videos to show what goes into the fitting instead of just going to golf shop & buying a of the shelf set. No excuses now Pete for not qualifying for The Open 🏌️♂️⛳😁
Well done Pete, I am about due for one of these myself. Fortunately I live in the 🇺🇸 and we do have a number of these around. Granted not as nice as what you just had so I am slightly jealous. I am gaming my Mizuno mp18s so I am getting close to needing new irons. I love Mizzy and the only other set that even came close to these is my 2010 Ap2. I may have to revisit Titleist. Can't wait to see you with the new sticks.
Peter - glad you got the Titleist fitting! Surprised you didn't try out the 620MB's ;) Ian at TXG fit me into the 2020 T100 irons and I love them. Looking forward to trying the T100s irons now. Thanks for the great videos and I hope your back is feeling better!
WOW!!! That is one of the most amazing and interesting places I have ever seen in relation to golf... and you have shown us some very interesting things
I like the look of the T100 more than the old AP2. It’s got a bid of a classic look mixed with just a bit of modern. I also like how the T200 keeps that sort of look despite being chunkier, making a mixed set look a little more seamless.
Very impressive - what a set up. Currently have yonex irons with Titleist hybrids and wedges. Would love to have Titleist through the bag when the time comes to upgrade.
I got fitted for the T100s 5-PW, and the T200 in the 4 iron in August and I love them. First new set in 8 years, so I'm still getting used to them but man they are amazing.
Are yours the newest model? I got fitted and have T100s in 5-PW coming for Christmas (though they now won’t get here until early January now 😢). How are you liking them now that it’s been a year. How is the 5 iron vs the 4 iron T200?
Nice video Peter. Numbers don't lie. Did think you might get fitted for a CB set 🤣. Not a Titleist fan, don't feel the forging quality is as good as Mizuno. But they obviously work 👍 I would love to get fitted for a set if Miura irons, but sadly can't afford them. Mind you, my 60th is coming up 🤣
Top video Pete. Far more in-depth than my recent PXG fit. I have issues with hitting off mats as I tend to chop down on my swing a bit too much and take a large divot (on grass!) Hitting off grass would've definitely improved my fitting experience. Love my clubs though!
Hey Pete how about posting your specs or numbers? I only ask because my average head speed for a 7 iron is about 90 mph as well. I'm looking at doing a fitting because after getting a mevo and really seeing my numbers I feel like my irons are really holding me back. My ball speed with the 90 mph clubhead speed is in the 118-120 range. I'm hitting it fairly close to the middle for the most part. So share your numbers interested to see for comparisons.
Still only getting fit by hitting a “7 iron” for a full bag. With a fitting facility like that would be good to see a full iron fitting club by club to see if there’s possibilities of combo sets etc
What a blast! I was surprised you ended up with the T100s It would be fun the see your carry distances against your previous irons once you get acclimated to the T100s
Very interesting that the outcome has been t100s, especially for a golfer using true loft blades. Says a lot about the technology in irons at the moment. If you put them in the bag Pete it will be great to see if you get used to them and enjoy the stronger lofts or feel like their too long and springy with a full set. Awesome video again keep smashing it.
Got fitted for the T100S 2* flat with the AMT Tour White S300. Went from 116 mph ball speed with the JPX 921 Tour to 120 mph with the T100S. My goal was to get little more distance and more forgiving on bad shots. I got that with the T100S. Also got the 4 iron in T200 with the same shaft.
@@SvingitGolf Awesome so you go them in about the 6 week time period. Thats cool. Glad you like them and can't wait to get mine. I am using a counterfit set that was given to me (2018 callaway forged x) And I shot 82 yesterday. My best round so far after playing for a year. I have the Ping G425 woods, Vokey wedges, and Ping B60 putter I love. When I staretd I got the sim 2 max off the rack.and loved it so much. Was launching them 300 yards. But when I got fitted for dirver I got put into the Ping. I don't hit it as far but feel I'm hitting it straighter. Anyway hope you're scoring lower!
What a great facility and always a great video from Mr finch. I've just had a fitting and the T100s was the winner, fantastic feel and a fabulous looking players iron. Mine arrive in 5 weeks and Im counting down the days! hope you enjoy yours Peter!
Currently game the T100s was fitted in April so the design before these. Such a fantastic feel the turf interaction is out of this world. Brilliant video Pete love these sort of things

Hello
@@janemartins8412 👋
Peter - glad you got the Titleist fitting! Surprised you didn't try out the 620MB's ;) Ian at TXG fit me into the 2020 T100 irons and I love them. Looking forward to trying the T100s irons now. Thanks for the great videos and I hope your back is feeling better!
Fit by Ian?
I’m so jealous!😕
@@seanpeacock5595 Ian was exactly as you would imagine from the videos. Two-day full bag fit. I highly recommend it if you get the chance!
@@drew20238 I’m gonna be in Ontario next year and may treat myself to an Ian guided driver fitting. ❤️
I could play that sound off the T100S irons on loop all day and not get tired of it.
You got Mizuno crying in the club rn Peter.
WOW!!! That is one of the most amazing and interesting places I have ever seen in relation to golf... and you have shown us some very interesting things
I'm looking to get fit for new Titleist irons when my state gets out of lockdown. Not sure but it hink I'll fit a split set T100-s 6-PW and T200 4/5.
I just got fitted for the T100s too! Went in wanting the Taylormade P770/790, tried the T100s and instantly loved them. Good choice 😋
Absolutely love my T100s irons. They are awesome 👍
Nice ad!
We are very lucky to have a grass range here at The Boston Golf Club (lincs) you should come play sometime. Keep up the good work, Scott.
Great content Peter 👍🏌🏼♂️⛳️

I got fitted for the T100s 5-PW, and the T200 in the 4 iron in August and I love them. First new set in 8 years, so I'm still getting used to them but man they are amazing.
Are yours the newest model? I got fitted and have T100s in 5-PW coming for Christmas (though they now won’t get here until early January now 😢). How are you liking them now that it’s been a year. How is the 5 iron vs the 4 iron T200?
PLEASE, get fit for the new Mizuno Pro line that comes out in Feb 2022!! They look AMAZING!
When are you going back to the Mizuno’s you always wanted and loved?
Mizzy’s are great irons but there are plenty that can feel just as good if not better.
Titleist in the bag until new mizuno come out 2/2022?? Can already see that fitting coming in spring 2022!
can you do a wedge fitting there? It has to be so cool and would be fun to watch someone talk about grinds and everything.
Great video Peter. For those of us who aren’t fortunate enough to go to that facility, it’s great to see the “pro experience”.
Waiting on my new t100s with AMT white s300 to arrive. Can't wait for them
Your videos keep getting better and better. Production value is fantastic. Keep it up pal.
love the effortless swing
Nice video Peter. Numbers don't lie. Did think you might get fitted for a CB set 🤣. Not a Titleist fan, don't feel the forging quality is as good as Mizuno. But they obviously work 👍
I would love to get fitted for a set if Miura irons, but sadly can't afford them.
For my new set it’ll either be the T100 or the Ping I59, far and away the most forgiving “blade profiles” on the market!
@@davidallen9882 Me too re Mizuno and the T100s. Need to decide on these or wait till Feb for the 223/225's
Nice video. Club fitting can't be underestimated, I found the experience to give me a bug understanding of my swing too.
1:57 in, gave this a 👍🏾. I was already impressed.
Do u think constantly switching clubs helps your game?
_Slowly puts down the glass of cognac_ 🥃 _and stares intently._
Still only getting fit by hitting a “7 iron”
for a full bag. With a fitting facility like that would be good to see a full iron fitting club by club to see if there’s possibilities of combo sets etc
Literally my dream to have this done, excellent video
What a blast! I was surprised you ended up with the T100s It would be fun the see your carry distances against your previous irons once you get acclimated to the T100s
Pete with new irons? I guess its that time of week 😆
If I got sent every new golf club for free I would change too.... but it is ridiculous how often he changes
Pete has been using his MP20s for about 2 years..?
Recently got fitted for the Callaway Apex combo set. Callaway Apex 4-7 iron and Callaway Apex Pro 8-PW 🔥🔥🔥
Still want TXG to fit you Pete!
Edit: If I'm honest, this felt more like an advertisement than a fitting my friend. 🤷♂️
Ian probably would have had Pete try more than two shafts.
Awesome! I’m wanting the same set you ended up with.
Great video editing as well. As someone that has watched you for years, so proud of your continued production improvements.
Just got fitted for some T100S with your beloved project X 6.5 shaft
Great experience. Good luck with your new irons, hit em straight
Got fitted for the T100S 2* flat with the AMT Tour White S300. Went from 116 mph ball speed with the JPX 921 Tour to 120 mph with the T100S.
My goal was to get little more distance and more forgiving on bad shots. I got that with the T100S. Also got the 4 iron in T200 with the same shaft.
i got fitted with t100 amt red 300. 1/2 shorter and 2 degrees upright. One week down 5 more to go ( I hope).
did you get them yet?
@@stangetz534 Yes I got them in march. Changed shafts to Shimada S-Lite Have played 14 rounds with them and they are Amazing. 👍
Tried em....didnt work for me, stuck with my Mizuno MP20 MMC's
Class, different content, best golf channel 💯
What a great facility and always a great video from Mr finch. I've just had a fitting and the T100s was the winner, fantastic feel and a fabulous looking players iron. Mine arrive in 5 weeks and Im counting down the days! hope you enjoy yours Peter!
Great video, Pete! Any reason you didn’t hit the 620 mb/cb??
I’ve been wondering when does it make sense to get fitted? Like how good should you be before fitting makes sense?
Currently game the T100s was fitted in April so the design before these. Such a fantastic feel the turf interaction is out of this world.
Brilliant video Pete love these sort of things
I love my fitted Titleist irons. You’re going enjoy playing with your new set for sure!
Very interesting but I saw the Shee sisters getting fitted and that was good for different reasons! How much would a fitting day like that cost? Lovely looking clubs. 👌
Gorgeous swing Pete. And what a place to go. Need to go to my local TPI for a wedge fitting this fall.
