I had a 98 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo 5.2 L v8 as my first car. It got 10mpg, I did all my own repairs. The a/c stopped working, other issues but my friends and I still talk about the memories we made in that car. Respect dude
I flip these Jeep Grand Cherokees as a side project. The Graphite interior ZJ's are pretty easy to detail. All the materials are super high quality. You want a challenge? Find a Rare Tan Cloth Interior 1996-1998 Grand Cherokee. It's like a yellowish/Tan that just absorbs stains. We power washed the carpet twice, Drill Brushed it, and Extracted it and it still had stains. Drill brushing and extracting the Tan cloth was satisfying though. They were a almost a dark brown when we got it and after 1 pass with the Drill brush, they were back to their bright Tan color.
I am loving these abandoned vehicles getting brought in, the story behind them makes the detail more special and I’m sure more rewarding for you. Kudos to you Mitch. Have a nice weekend everyone!
i just wanna say i started watching you when you had like less than 100k subscribers detailing cars in your little garage, it’s great to see how much you’ve grown & transformed into such a successful business!! love your videos!
I'm amazed by how few customers are willing to pay for paint correction on vehicles that desperately need it. Maybe they don't feel it's worth it on what was an abandoned vehicle (and maybe they're right), but honestly it would make a huge difference.
Hey Mitch, almost time for a replacement crevice tool for the vacuum. Mike watching the yoga on the phone is his major activity. The new war game looks like amazing graphics and fun. I think it's brilliant to market to and mentor new detailers. That's giving back and expanding your support base. The Jeep looks fantastic. The red and purple bits every where was wild to see. I wonder if the owner can get a replacement drivers seat from a junkyard somewhere? That would be a good fix. The V8 engine will be powerful and those usually hold up well. Looks like the new owner is going to love what you did. That was the worst bucket pour I have seen in a while. Great work Mitch as always. I also came to beg for another Yard Geek Video. Those are so much fun as well. Have a great weekend. Thanks for the great Friday! 💜
Hi Joel, Good to see you again. I think whenever Mitch can be free his time, he will update YardGeek later. I don’t see the weather is snow in Wisconsin there. 🤔. Have a nice day and an enjoyable weekend! Be safe where you are and stay warm, my friend. 😊
Haha I've worn through this one really quick because it's made out of really cheap plastic so it keeps breaking! It's hard to find quality stuff these days. Yep, a new seat would do wonders for this Jeep! Not sure when I'll get to another YG vid, but keep your eyes on the Member's community tab as there will be some interesting things posted there soon 🙂 Have a great weekend!
Anyone that would be ungrateful for the amount of work you put into these vehicles is just that: an ungrateful person. If it was so easy either they should do it themselves or at the least stop using their vehicle as a trash dump.
@@ronwhited1224some also have the mindset of "he provided a service, I paid for that service I don't need to tell him how excited I am or thankful I am."

There are things I don’t understand. Why would the owner allow the interior to get so filthy? Why would he abandon it instead of getting it fixed? It must have been quite expensive in the beginning so abandoning it makes no sense.
These videos reassure me that it is, indeed Friday. This Jeep sure cleaned up nicely. Great detail (need that be said?). The build series on the second channel is a must. The same attention to detail here went into designing the studio. The opening of build 1 is still a fav moment for me.
Wow! I’m always amazed to see the amount of attention you pay to the smallest detail and it’s s always a pleasure to see your work of excellence, Mitch! Wish you tons of success always!
I couldn’t wait to see the 303 on the plastic exterior trim. It’s truly magical. I was madly in love with Grand Cherokees as a teen. Our neighbor had a 93 dark purple one…wow it stood out 😮
Another great video as usual, Mitch. By the way, what day of the week do your new videos come out? you are definitely one of the top detailers on RUclips
Another fantastic detail Mitch!! Certainly is incredible how far The Grand Cherokee has come and hasn't relatively changed DRASTICALLY over the years. You can still look at any Grand Cherokee new and old and you just know right off the bat it is one. I will say though the newest Grand Cherokees' (In my personal opinion) are kind of a let-down mechanical- wise. They put too much aluminum tierods and other suspension parts in it that break easier in collisions or wear down faster. I will definitely be checking out your wholesale programs as that will GREATLY help my detailing business this spring. Have a great weekend man! I'll catch ya in the next one!
Love your videos man. I watch them everyday even the ones as far back as 4 years ago. You made me want to start my own detailing business and i hope i can gain enough capital to start using your products
Great video as always Mitch. Have you ever had plastics react to the steamer and go all sticky? Happened to me when I was cleaning my 2007 Citroen. Luckily I tested a patch first so the whole panel didn’t go sticky.
Man Mitch you outdid yourself on that detail from the tires popping out shiny clean at the end to the outside of the car looking shiny new to the appearance from lord Mike this video had it all keep up all the hard work your doing
if you ever come across this problem with the rear window shock absorbers again use a pair of vice grips on the park that extends out and it will hold it
This vehicle looks so incredible. You always know how to make these cars and trucks and SUVS look like brand new. Thank you so very much for everything you do. Your hard work and dedication is outstanding 💪👍
Amazing job as usual! Was wondering if you could help me. I was wondering if you can help me with what to look for in a good affordable pressure washer. Do I look mostly at gallons of water used, psi, what other things should I look for? Thank you for any help.
Mitch do you think you can do more of the extraction part? I noticed you don’t show all the extractions in the car especially the drivers side and even the seats which are my favorites.. I’m sure the majority of your viewers like those too and I don’t mind watching a 45 min videos.. I enjoy your channel but I want the extraction parts back and to be longer 😭
Cheapo eBay Ceramic Coating will bring dull old plastics back to NEW, and it lasts for a good few months. Or risk the car dealer trick of heating up the plastic with a blowtorch to bring some of the oils back to the surface.
I always enjoy your videos. In the intro you said that the truck went for a mud spin and then was parked outside under a tree for five years. I find it incredible that five years of snow, rain, wind, etc wouldn't have at least smoothed out some of the mud splatter.... just saying
All that plastic around the bottom of that model year jeep....they couldn't design a better trap for mud, water and rust if they tried.....I like your work....I will go at stains from multiple directions, when extracting carpet....some stains seem to come out from one direction...but not in another direction ( i also use the same technique running the vac )

Wow! this brought back some childhood memories for me. when i was a kid, my grandma had a 1997 grand cherokee for a long time, and i remember when we would ride in it all the time.
I asked you on a previous video if you have a lot of splashing on your walls. Is that material on your walls water resistant and easy to clean? Is it something you can power wash on?
