Another great video Zach. I never fail to notice how you have really found your “on screen” personality through the course of making these videos. You’re a born communicator. Again, being a city boy the business aspects of running a successful farming operation always intrigue me as much as the actual farming, a part of the business that I don’t believe non-farmers think too much about. Hopefully over the winter months you can maybe give us city folk a little primer in what it takes to run a profitable farm in regards to forecasting the commodities markets, capital expenses, etc. Thanks for letting us hang out with ya.

Very educational video for the none farmer. Loyal Deere guy. I have a Deere in my lobster boat a new one. 750 hp. Marine. Wicked torque. 25 gallons an hour on fuel. It’s not green though. It’s yellow. But still a Deere

All your videos have something in them that has educated me on the life of the farmer. I love all of them, you are a natural talent at this vlogging business. This one however really grabbed me when you mentioned that your family has been farming that land for 140 years and now it's your turn. I'll bet all the ills suffered in this country would be greatly reduced if that sense of family importance was restored to what it once was. Looking at the condition of your equipment, the buildings you store them in, your fields, and areas around the utility buildings, all bespeak the pride you and your father and family have for that farm. Everything is in good and immaculate order. Very impressive, this country could learn a great deal from you! Thanks for the video!

I understand how important it is to farm family land. I’m so proud that my 17 year old son has started farming on his own. It was fun to watch the teller at the bank when he was depositing his check for his lima beans. Good stuff. Lots of traffic here. We have stoplights and lots of cars driving our rural roads. Sometimes it takes 10 plus minutes to make a right turn out of the ranch. I’m jealous of the area you farm but not the cold.

What a terrible job cleaning the dryer. Just throwing out the idea because it’s what I used to do with the dryer my old job had which was a Sukup as well. It wasn’t perfect but when you fire up the dryer everyday, if you open the clean-out door with the fans on, it actually blows a lot of the bees wings and corn dust out to where you won’t have hardly anything left at the end of harvest. Again, just throwing the idea out. Not trying to be a troll. Just trying to help a fellow farmer out.

I had a 1963 Case diesel frontloader at the horse barn that had a heated element on the water jacket. With a blanket over the hood and 2 feet of snow on that it started faster and easier than in the summer! That motor was WARM BEING PLUGGED IN.

When we clean my buddies grain dryer, we use a kids plastic sled to drag the spill out from under the dryer to avoid the awkward shoveling. just a thought.
