    I didn’t used to care much about dodge/jeep, but after getting one I’ve observed they build stuff people actually want and can use. I’m constantly impressed with how they don’t force you to do what they think you should do instead of what you want to do. Want to drive it in gas? Go ahead. Electric only? Sure.

    Excellent! And it's about time. Still not great MPG but significantly better than the old ICE. With 25 miles of range on the E-motor, I can get to work, plug-in, and get home again without using any gas.

      The car industry is just going around in circles , even with full EVs, their range only gets better because they keep adding batteries, which makes them harder to manufacture which means hardly anyone will own them. Ford already cancelled personal orders for the Mach E this year.... Nice

    I am looking forward to the new hurricane engine option...
    High output in the Srt ~510 hp and 500 ft/lbs
    standard output with ~420 hp and 450ish ft/lbs. From a twin-turbo 3.0L inline 6. Seems like it will be an excellent replacement for the old but tried and true 5.7L V8. Jeeps says the high output is supposed to it a couple of MPGs more than the v8 (which v8 they don't say). But we will see. I do worry about the power vs. displacement, but it should be better than the complexities of the hybrid system., for which you only get 22-24mpg anyways with regular driving, so if the new engine can get 20ish mpg seems like a much better option. with Jeep/FCA/Stellantis (terrible name) you have to pick your poison in terms of questionable reliability, unfortunately.

    Jeep really set up a challenging off road track run & Sofyan's enjoyment of "steering the course" certainly added to this vid ! 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee exterior design looks good in white/black as well as in maroon. Interior is first rate premium look. Exterior looks so much better than Grand Wagoneer ... Rear turn lights in white lense should be amber/orange as much more visible & safer = even better if front & rear turn signals are sequential ... Rear hatch should be two piece like in BMW X7 & Range Rover = more practical & versatile - same for Explorer, 4runner, Pathfinder etc ...

    I'm understanding that the 4xe utilizes lithium ion batteries. Lithium ion batteries typically have a battery life cycle of about 800 cycles, after which the the battery's capacity is reduced to 80%. Lithium iron phosphate batteries have about 3,500 cycles before deteriorating to the 80% capacity mark. Am I understanding this correctly?

      It's important to know how good a vehicle accelerates, especially in 2022 when vehicles in general are getting quicker. Plus, it's a safety feature. It also gives a better understanding of its fuel efficiency relative to its power. What's the point of it having a high EPA, if it's going to be slow as a snail? The real world mpg would be worse,you'd be burning more oil, and in longterm engine durability would suffer, as you'd be constantly revving the crap out of it to get it up to speed.

      Who said they refused to go full electric!? Lol….. would you take a jeep overlanding with barely 300miles of range?? A diesel or gas jeep gets you well over 500miles plus you have jerrycans

    5500+ pound vehicle. 2.0T making impressive 375 hp and 470 ibs pounds of torque. That’s awesome. But very small engine putting a lot of power, on a heavy ass vehicle. I would put 4.0L V6 or a V8. It would be a better move. This will put a lot of straightened faster from time to time. 23 mpg? I can see that but then again, it’s heavy so it will get less mpg. Because it’s a heavy SUV.

    • @alanmay7929
      @alanmay7929 2 года назад +3

      Wrong!!!!! The 2l turbo engine makes around 275hp it’s not over boosted and is actually great, the electric motor actually reduces its works and add more torque with better optimization.

      @@alanmay7929 gotcha. But in general. It’d a very heavy vehicle. Realize that putting small 2.0T, is straining a lot and will suffer by 5500 pound vehicle.

      Statistically speaking, 87% of jeep renegades on the road are at 300,000+ miles without breakdown... 63% of first Gen compass's are at 300,000 miles without breakdown and 82% of 2nd Gen compass's are at 200,000 miles without breakdown... 89% of jeep grand cherokees are at 300,000+ miles without breakdown... 73% of jeep cherokees are at 300,000 miles without breakdown, 61% of jeep patriots are at 300,000 miles without breakdown, and 94% of jeep liberties are at 400,000 miles without breakdown...
      Wranglers old and new are also everywhere without break down, I believe 82% of the old models, and 25% of the new models past 300K without break down.... do not rely on JD power ratings, rely on others.
