Many thanks for the video - once I saw how to access the battery, I tried the hard reboot and the laptop started up in the Bios settings. Two further restarts and I finally got the message "Windows updates completed" !!

Hi, I just had the same led blinks and found this video. I would not try to open it up and tried several different combination of bottoms to reset the laptop. I finally made it with the right ctrl key pressed at the same time with the power button for a few seconds. Anyway thanks for your video to show at least the laptop is not really dead.

In such a case as in the video, when the power / charge LED is blinking, hold down the power switch for 20 seconds until the LED turns off. Then press the switch as usual and the notebook will start up. There is no need to disassemble and disconnect the BIOS battery.

Mine is the each same model but it has no bios battery at all. So I can't reset it . All I get is a white light

Hi, nice vid, but my problem is that the charging light is not on when connected to the laptop, but it shows has connected, at the moment it is at 81%, and it is still on 81% while I am using the laptop now to view your vid !

I have the exact same laptop but it doesn't have a bios battery anywhere . I even removed motherboard . Can't find one at all.

Sorin, regarding flickering try use USB-C to USB3.0, i use same camera. And problem solved buy using adapter. Probably like you told. Your USB hub is over loaded. Or possibility faulty/overheated camera.

I am from South Africa and have been watching a lot of your laptop repair videos. Thank you so much for sharing real-life, practical faults, solutions and testing techniques. I have learnt a lot from your videos, including mechanical disassembly. I always look forward to your videos and like your positive outlook on life.
I want to ask if you can maybe make a video about laptop chargers, tip sizes and voltages. There are so many tip sizes and corresponding voltages. Can you use a 19V charger on an 18.5V or 19.5V laptop? Do certain brands always have specific voltages and tip sizes? How do I know what size tip my laptop uses? I see some laptop charger ports have thicker center pins and others thinner.
I have 7 laptops that I want to repair and want to buy a universal charger that will power all of them - Sony Vaio, HP Compaq, Toshiba Satellite Pro, Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pro, Asus, Acer Travelmate and Dell Latitude.
I for example found 2 chargers online, each coming with 10 tips, but the voltage and corresponding tip sizes are different between the two. Also, one has tips that the other one doesn't have. So I don't know which one to buy, that will work with all my laptops. Below is a list of the voltages and tip sizes for each charger.

I have this model. Recommended convenient small laptop. Going for just under 200 $AU in Oz. On eBay used. New laptops are crazy expensive in Oz now. Lack of competition I guess.

Thanks for the great videos Sorin! I have an HP laptop that will turn on and run fine but the internal battery does not charge. I replaced the battery but that wasn't the problem. It appears the charging circuit on the motherboard is bad. Do you recall if you have a video showing steps to troubleshoot this type of problem? I looked but didn't find one. Thanks!

Yes, indeed it works and makes easy the glass to be removed but still you clean it and scrub the glass out of the phone.

Hello Sorin. I got 28 Toshiba laptops yesterday. Can you check next time the bios battery volt. I got 28 laptops to clean and install. All was have a bad battery and need to replace all battery. Also i cut the cable. And replace it with a cr2032 battery. i just made my own bios battery. To keep it cheap. No special battery.
All had charging light blinking too?

No it most certainly was not. I had the same problem and saved me a trip to fix it.

I think for 100K .... AS A PRESENT FOR BOTH US AND YOU , can we ... am , have a better quality ? Flickering is killing the good content.
