The video is helpful, however guys, you don't need to dissasembly all the computer as shown. Just take the battery out is enough. Also for the large rubber feet, it is enough to lift a bit from the side, as the screw is not centered. Concerning the adhesive, it should be sold together with the keyboard; anyway if you don't want to spend extra money, just use a double-side tesa film, it works fine.

after 9 years of running my Toshiba finally got the new keyboard and new battery, will be replacing soon at home thanks for your comment that only battery should be removed, makes it look much easier :)

Hello Thor! Original sticker has 2 parts. A shorter and a longer side. Take off the shortest part and paste in the housing. Finally, take off and slip the sticker on the housing. Good luck!

Yes. Be careful, the keyboard is attached with double-sided tape.
+SMDSpain it almost looks like it's possible to exchange the keyboard without removing the motherboard, as long as you manage to get it off from the double sided tape (with a knife maybe?). i think i will give this a shot, since my laptop already looks pretty beat up. a few scratches more or less wont matter....

The section where the old keyboard is being removed is poorly done. He shows things from the keyboard side while what is doing is hidden behind the keyboard.

Most horrible notebook by Toshiba. Out govt bought it, many many bigshot users encountered
1. Mouse moved by itself (cheapo touchpad cable faulty)
2. Hanging, software failing
3. For my own, my keyboard types by itself.
4. Fan problem
5. HDD fails a lot
Shittiest product ever and this is from supporting. thousands of users. Sux so bad I'm now punching it as the font hovers and mistypes due to bad keyboard circuit
