My laptop shuts down when the CPU is under load. Writes a power error, even the BIOS settings flies. If I put a limit on the frequency of the processor in the BIOS, then everything is ok. What could be the reason?
@@LaptopDisassembly Just tried it. Did not help. It works only if you limit the processor frequency in the BIOS. I think it's because of the power supply.
@@nickblack7235 did you monitor the temps under load, to see at what value the laptop is shutting down. You can try with different adapter to eliminate that problem. If the battery is working i doubt the problem is the adapter.
@@LaptopDisassembly hah thank you. It turns out that the wrong power adapter is for me and its characteristics are not enough. (12V 2.0A) And toshiba need 19V 3,42A
I have a problem, the charger is connected and a violet light is on and does not want to charge, where is the defect, knowing that I changed the charger and the same problem remained
Check the battery health status with Aida64. There is a big chance to be a faulty battery. Also if the battery is on 0% sometimes it will not start to charge because of the battery electronic.
@@LaptopDisassembly Thank you. I have nearly the same (portege R700) and its giving me a blue screen of death each time i power it. I suspect the CPU heating too high because an old paste (Never been changed). RAM looks ok ... What do you think ?

Wonderful🤩👍
What key did you use to open the RAM and SSD cover?
I use a regular Philips screwdriver.
hey man, where's the minipci? I think I saw it on the up left but I'm not sure if it's really it
There is a mini pci above the SSD drive. The wifi card is connected there.
@@LaptopDisassembly thx
Hello, where is placed CMOS battery? Thanks
The battery should be on the left side of the board, between the board and the optical drive. Usually it is yellow with 2 wires.
@@LaptopDisassembly Is it too hard to reach it?
Watch the video. You have to lift the back cover and you will have access.
@@LaptopDisassembly Thanks!

Probably the CPU is overheating. Just open it and clean and replace the thermal paste. It should be fine after that.

When loading it says "RTC POWER FAILURE"

Hi, is this pc still working ? Does it have windows 10 ? What are the specs ? Thx
Yes it is still working. Don't remember the specs, coz it was a customer one, but it works fine with SSD and Windows 10

@@theattorney6072 What is the BSOD ( what is written on the error). Also if you leave it to work in BIOS, douse it power off or it stays.
@@LaptopDisassembly Hello, thx for the reply. The error is 0x0000000A and I Can Access the bios and then it stays on without error or restart.
0А is usually a driver issue. I doubt is overheating. Ho in safe mode and uninstall the wifi and video driver. Also if you have avast, remove it.
