I hope that you liked these back to basics card bases. Are there any other CARD MAKING 101 tips or instructions I can give you? Do you have any particular category of card making that you would like me to cover or demo? I would love to hear in the comments and I can put it on my to do list for future vids!
Excellent video for beginner card makers. I wish it was out when I started making cards. It sure helps to know what papers to use and the tools to use to make cards.
Thanks so much, I appreciate your kind comment! I figured I would start making a collection of these back to basic things for newcomers. Thanks for watching!
Well done Amy, great explanations. Just another quick tip for newbies reading, when you use your bonefolder to flatten the crease, start from the middle & go outwards. Then do the same for the other half. Prevents accidentally twisting the card. 😊 🇦🇺❤️
Oh you are so very welcome. I'm so glad that you found it helpful. If there are any other beginner or other topic videos you would like me to make please let me know. I keep a list of what people request for future vids. I really appreciate you watching and your kind comment!
Hi Amy. Although I make cards as you know I am a firm believer in going back to basics now and again. You may also pick up some hints and tricks in doing something differently. Yvonne
Great video Amy! You explained everything so well and would be so helpful for anyone new to cardmaking. Wish I would have had a video like this when I was getting started.
I'm so glad that you like it. I do have some, but have it on my to do list to make more. Here is my playlist for "Back to Basics" and also a How To playlist with some other ideas. I had to check it out to see if you do anything different than I do lol. I have a black line from the top of my TH guillotine trimer at the 5.5" then at the bottom I have a black line at the 4.25. Just hps when you are in a hurry. I typically cut, score and fold a ream of paper at a time. Usually auto ship from Amazon. For me I like the 120lb accent opaque. Great price in comparison and it makes a sturdy card. Nothing worse than a floppy card.
