Idk if that’s the case because they still have 19 787s on order. I think it’s about needing more capacity asap which they cannot get with brand new aircraft in the backlog.

767 are great. The great thing about them are there are 4 aisle seats, 2 window seats and 1 middle seat. I like aisle seats and there is only one dreaded middle seats.
Maybe they think these old types are more reliable. Yes more expensive to operate but does not get grounded. Or just shortage of aircraft in general globally.
CORRECTION: At around the 03:00 mark, we misspoke and stated "A320-300" instead of A320-200 when mentioning other types on the YYZ-SFO route.
Prefer Porter for this route. No middle seats. Free wifi. Free wine and beer.
only one middle seat on the 767
@@WilliamCanuone more than porter.
AC is so impressed with Gimli Glider, they think it's safer than newer Boeing's fleet
RIP C-GAUN
Performing side slip while playing Deja Vu.
767 were pretty cool
Nothing wrong with the 767 it's a great airplane.
yes, and the only one with 2 aisle compare to the rest on YYZ-SFO.
maybe it's because the 767 was built before Boeing merged with the cursed mcdonnell douglas.

don't you mean before MCD merged with the cursed Boeing...
What year was that?

Are these planes painted in Air Canada livery? Seems like they are trying to flood the route with seats to put the hurt on Porter
This is the most likely reason for doing this.
Air Canada already has heavy service to SFO before porter.
No, the paint will remain Omni
Ironcally WestJet wet leased some 767's, but servicing them made them enconomicaly unviable and were rapidly replaced with 787's.

Will Air Canada bring back the Gimli Glider?
Nope because that plane is scrapped now
@@GarlandTexasSpotter2024 Not ALL of it.
Ha! I knew someone would mention it. It would save on fuel costs after all.
LOLOLOL GENIUS
Some person on RUclips will probably video flying on this Boeing 767.
Should they change the engine with genx?
more drifting action
Hmm ngl if it’s the same price the average consumer will not be happy with this irrespective of what the enthusiasts think.
I would much rather take the 767 than get on the 737 Max!
Id rather the the 67 than the 220.
@@christopherescott6787hard disagree, the 220 is my fave from AC’s fleet with it’s large seats and quick loading/unloading.
@@christopherescott6787
What's wrong with the A220? It's literally the most passenger friendly plane out there.
old better than new-there's a concept!!
@@johnchristmas7522 NO. I said TWIN isle. That can be any twin isle.
What is happening in SFO that is so special for the month period , that requires AC to add larger aircraft than normal?
Copa America. SFO is hosting two group stage matches between June 20-July 2
I’d take this over the max (no concern about safety) just hate how tight it is. Would probably select the 220 over all of them
Omni first officers make more than Air Canada widebody Captains too... Sad.
I love the 767
They need bigger planes on the SFO route ...period they are all always packed
Similar to how Delta retired their DC-9s in the 90s only to get them back when they merged with Northwest in the late 2000s.
I would love to fly the Omni air aircraft.
If it's Boeing (767, not MAX Frankenjet), I'm going 👍
??????????what? i thought they were gone for good
They converted their 767 to freighters.
ik i meant the passenger operations
Would favour A220 !! ❤
Will the Omni International B767 change it's livery to Air Canada or will it keep it's Omni livery?
Remain Omni color
For two months of operation that is pretty wasteful
Well that was unexpected.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Amazing ❤❤❤❤❤
Very odd for Air Canada 🇨🇦 to do that!
They did that when the max was grounded and not enough planes were available too
No omni air international has to be successful like the other airlines
I'll take 767 over 737 Max any moment
Wait whaaaaat
Danggg
re-engine now !!!!
I think he mispronounced Rouge or maybe I always thought it was pronounced Rogue so maybe my bad
pssssstttt
His pronunciation was correct. Rouge is French for red.
Curtis!
Who wants to go to crime ridden San Francisco anyway?

Would prefer Porter Airlines over AC on the YYZ-SFO route any day.
