The cargo market is heavily oversupplied due to the surge in demand in 2020-2021 which did not last. With A321 P2F and A350F I doubt it's worth it. Also, remember what some freight operators are demanding is a larger plane than A330-900 which will inevitably require a much higher powered Engine. Then comes possibility of cannibalizing A350F sales by en enlarged/enhanced A330NEO-F. Old A330-300 are anyway available for conversion as well.

Building more production lines, to get the A320 series backlog down from crazy, should be a key priority, plus figuring out how to build the A220 series efficiently, an aircraft with significant potential. Eventually, finish the design and bring to production the A220-500 (there's stated demand for it by airlines, and the A318 and A319 are kinda dead anyway), then a replacement for the A320 series (or a third generation A320, though a third generation of another popular single aisle mainline jet didn't end well, anyway don't call it the Maxine). Some airlines make more on the point to point strategy. Other competitors hubs and spoke. So you are right. There is a market for A321 XXLR. But every airline won’t like it.
No. Boeing's "McDonnell-Douglas" management team chose "type" certification workarounds (MCAS) and production schedule primacy over quality and safety. Two Max-8 crashes, a door blowout mid-flight, and the horrors revealed by whistle-blowers have since ruined its reputation and left it in tatters. A sad tale of corporate greed.
@@ThomasS-jf9kf That purchase sealed Boeing's fate. In fact, with all the a330Ceo's about to hit end of life, more than likely they will be converted and used as they will MORE closely align with freighter demand regardless if they are "overpriced currently" or not. a338neo would be ~3/4 that of a350F... WHY would anyone buy it instead of a350F which is compatible with 777F infrastructure??? You would have to be NUTZ to do so!!!

Airbus should focus on the converted-freighter market instead and get the A350F delivered. There's plenty of jets retired during covid and launching another new freighter will deal with the exact same supply chain issues and delays the passenger jet production lines are facing.

Admittedly, it can feel like there's no competitor, and that it's an endlessly open choice of what to do next (or nothing at all), but that's a risk for complacency and bad decisions. Though do hire away some talent, as a mercy.
I wonder if military aircraft will take the fore, though, if Mark Rutte is able to encourage a doubling of military spending by NATO members, to 4-5%.
Airbus will be stretched
Why make this plane if the A350f is coming. I bet you Airbuses first question is will we cannabalize A350f sales.
is the A221 not the A220-100?
They should build an A321 XXLR, to end all "hub-and-spoke" operations.
The XLR is already pushing the airframe's limits. Push it too much, and it'll suffer the same fate as the 737.
It's better to build a new from scratch.
Some airlines make more on the point to point strategy. Other competitors hubs and spoke. So you are right. There is a market for A321 XXLR. But every airline won’t like it.
Make more money. Sorry!
Boeing has spent enough on stock buybacks to build three totally new aircraft. Wall Street is death to public companies.
Yesssss
Your channel rocks ! But this Heart beating background music is very annoying
Yeehaw.
It's incredible!!! Did Boeing forget how to build planes?? Apparently yes.
At least they have learned that it is expensive!
They are doing to their entire line what they did to the DC-9 and to the DC-10, not able to come up with anything new, and just extending the life of very old airframes. They are short sighted: they came up with the 737-max focusing solely on American Airlines / Southwest. They didn't think about the global market and the future. Now this whole plan blew in their faces, and the one that started burying the company left with millions of dollars.
It’d be a mistake. Here’s a parallel, a similar mistake also made in WWII Europe. If Hitler just stayed fighting the Brits, they likely would’ve won that battle, possibly the war. But, Hitler got greedy & opened up a 2nd front w/Russia, leading to a 🇩🇪 defeat. Similarly, Airbus is pummeling Boeing in so many ways. To win the battle of the world’s premier plane manuf., they shouldn’t take any focus or resources away from the battle they’re absolutely dominating. What they’re doin’ is workin’…ain’t broke don’t fix it. 😉🛩️✌️
BETTTT
A360
Dayum 5 bots 💀
hi
Dude does not know the freighter market. 767F was chosen for tax purposes and ramp FEES along with its SMALL size. a330 does not meet this criteria and in fact goes in the wrong direction. 767F replacement is ALREADY built and ALREADY being used. a321neo and all they need is an F variant. Will it be as good as 767F? No, but a338F is NOT a viable option. Too damned big. 767F is already NOT an option for most freighter models for most markets for MOST of the year as it is TOO BIG!!! A lot of 767F's sit doing nothing for a VERY large portion of the year. What will happen is that a321neoF will dominate and surge holiday capacity will be from OLD used up a330's and 777's.
Meh! A few ignorant people as subscribers. Want to hear what they want to hear. Boeing is on the mend since it got a new CEO respected in the industry...
The latest Whistleblowing doesn't track with that assessment.
I root for Boeing
Living in the US I want to root for Boeing as well. But Boeing is a horrible company to its employees and customers.
lol if airbus builds this so called "A322" boeing has no choice but to bring back the 757
360 and 370 😂😂😂
Boeing needs Elon on the BOD when they sell the Starliner. That’s the only way to dig themselves out of the hole.
bro your analytical reasoning is absolutely disastrous, you should really stop giving opinions
The A330F was a flop. An A330neoF would be another flop. Efficiency is not a priority with freighter companies, hence why there's so many MD-11F, A300F and B747-400F sill flying. Airbus should focus on the converted-freighter market instead and get the A350F delivered. There's plenty of jets retired during covid and launching another new freighter will deal with the exact same supply chain issues and delays the passenger jet production lines are facing.
Imagine an Airbus a380F 💀
There were plan at a fairly far stage onto that.
not as feasible as you think
Boeing isn't even able to get three of their new airplanes certified. (max7, max10, and 777X)
They are certainly NOT capable of any new airplane (besides, eventually, the 777X-F).
Can you be my aviation geek boyfriend?
You are an Airbus fn.
The 777-8 hasn’t even been built yet. So we are talking years before a 777-8F comes to market
a350 f hasn't been either
Sounds about right. Focus on today's increasing freight demands and blindly commit to a huge expensive project. Applause all around and then look! Oops, new tarrifs, trade wars with China, Reshoring manufacturing to North America and poof! Collapsed freighter demand just as the factory gets up to speed. Airbus takes a huge financial hit just as auto manufacturing collapses in Europe. SMH. What ever happened to long term planning and consideration of possible and probable events ruining your short term brilliant plan?
