    Pro tip: about the oil filter. Fill the filter up with oil before or maybe 15mins or before you start the oil change and the oil will soak up in the filter and it will not spill out on you and cover the filter up hole up with something until you get ready for it. 👍

    • @MotoHeadKyle
      @MotoHeadKyle  2 года назад

      I appreciate it! I don’t leave it out in the open, I remove old filter, wipe and install new filter immediately! But I’ll have to let it soak next time and see how that works! Thanks for watching!

    great video! straight to the point! . however I just have one question. My softail is at 5000 miles. Do I need to change the primary and transmission fluid? The owners manual says at 10k miles to do the primary lubricant. And 20k to do the transmission lubricant. Would it hurt to change the primary and transmission and engine oil all at once with only 5000 miles?

    First time to your channel, thanks for the video. Beautiful RG! I was interested in seeing what goes into the 10 k change. I prefer to do the 3 oil changes myself but it is the other items (non TCLOCK) that I am leaning towards bringing her in for service. I will definitely watch some of your other videos as well before deciding. Thank you for your service, go TFEH. Be and ride safe.

It’s okay to still tell us, unless your model and year was custom made and is one of a kind to you, some of us might have the same bike hence same specs. Also, the primary covers of the M8’s actually are the same torque spec because the engines are the same.

    Kyle how does the oil trough work when removing the filter? Do you still get oil dripping underneath it?

    • @MotoHeadKyle
      @MotoHeadKyle  Год назад +1

      It works OK but it does have a tendency to move a little bit when removing the filter which allows some oil to drip but I usually put paper towels in the back to help with that. I think it was $10 or $14 when I got it so overall I still think it’s worth it
