i don't loosen the oil fill plug until I remove the drain bolt, it's not as messy that way

Great video. Question for you: I've been seeing a lot of the other RUclips mechanics channels saying to put in 4.5 quarts in the engine oil of an M8 touring bike but the owner's manual says 4 quarts in thr engine oil.
Is 4.5 quarts correct or 4 quarts like the owner's manual says?
I ran 4.5qts and never had an issue.
Where are people seeing to put 4.5 quarts?

I'll just go with what the service manual says. Service manual says 4.5qt and I've done that since I owned the bike and never had any issues.
