For those fellow four wheelers out there, that brief shot at 2:28 is why you stop at those big white stripes at intersections, not past them, and especially not in the left turn lane. I always get a good laugh when I see these drivers with 360" stretched wheelbases sporting 170" custom ARI Legacy sleeper boxes pulling 53'ft flatbeds doing local work. I can see long-haul drivers hauling commercial jet engines, or military loads making thousands of dollars per load having these trucks, but for a local haul like this that only pays $300 bucks makes no sense whatsoever. Getting into the large box stores with these super long trucks is not that bad, but try delivering Ace Hardware or Do-It-Best Centers you can just forget it. My truck with 230" wheelbase and 72" sleeper is doable with most flatbed work but when I switch to local LTL freight work with a 53'ft longbox bumping docks or making deliveries in residential neighborhoods is nearly impossible. Hauling Pre-stressed concrete Double-T's or wall panels for parking garage structures and logistics warehouse construction, these loads are often 12'ft-15'ft wide x 40'ft-70'ft long and would beat the driver to death in a daycab so a long wheelbase is necessary with these loads.

I am hauling for Menards. It has slowed down a lot now. I think it is because people can not afford to remodel their homes because of the price of lumber.
Am I the only one who thinks you can drive what makes you happy? Plenty of long haulers have to do multiple drops a day, and in tight spots. Do what makes you happy. Sometimes driving those little pickup size tractors aren’t enough for a professional driver. If size is an issue then don’t be a trucker. Drive safe.
