if a car accelerates real fast the tires can lose traction for a few moments. keep in mind this is a rear wheel drive car, so the traction of the rear tires needs to be maintained for a clean acceleration. he was turning out of his driveway, which shifted the weight of the car left, and then when he hit the gas after straightening out the tires lost traction while the kinetic energy from his right turn still remained. so it swerves left first, then right (probably an attempt by john to compensate for the swerve hoping tony didnt notice), then straightens out. dudes driving a maserati, and with a fast car like that you cant just floor the gas. you gotta ease onto it basically, johns foot has something in common with his wife - its a little too heavy
