The dcd800 is the comparable drill to this one that doesn’t have hammer mode. The dcd800 and the dcd805 replaced the dcd791 and dcd796, respectively. The dcd800 and dcd805 have the same specs, and it will depend on what battery you’re using. The 5 amp battery and the 1.7 power stack battery both give it a good amount of power. Technique is also a factor.
If you look at the switch on the video you’ll see it’s in speed two which means it’s on high speed. You shouldn’t need to be a rocket scientist to figure that out.
Can't wait to see the showdown but this new Gen is designed to work with the Powerstack> I predict the 996 will need at least a 4ahm to match the powerstack and 805... But it's hard to predict the durability
Can’t wait to get my hands on that🔥
What about treated wood?
Is the hammer drill more powerful then the original? Because i did a 1 1\2 spade bit aswell on the original and it couldn't do it.

Nice! was that high or low speed ?

Looks like the atomic drill but way better
Exactly right, much more power in about the same footprint. Thanks for watching.
@@Shoptoolreviews that’s awesome! I love your videos keep up the great work!

I had my little 2.0AH Mickey Mouse battery on it and it worked fine lol
Is this more powerful than the dcd996?
