Nyc video sundar i had a doubt...Can we expect EIS for Mi a1 in future????? Though it's a software feature i wish they would enable it!! Your opinion abt EIS in Mi a1??
#Sundar Hey sundar !!!! Does mi a1 have support for hi-res audio?and i heard u bought an ipod nano...just wanted to know which gen is it ,the one i have is a nano 7th gen .Also i wanted to know that if i install a custom rom on lg v30 ,will the quad dac stop working ,i mean will the audio output be restricted to 16-bit only which is ofcourse one of restrictions that google has put in android by default...u know lg has kind of a bad reputation for not providing android version updates in past with v20...
You definitely didn't read threads on Mi Forum. Guys there were crying for updates, cursing Xiaomi and what not. Xiaomi had to push Oreo update on time to stop those retards from crying.

Fast charging on Oreo works pretty great for me using stock 2.0A charger. About 90min to full charge but I mini-charge all through the day so fast charging works even better for me! 60-90% takes very little!!!!! I didn't hard reset for the update so the fingerprint notification gesture didn't break and still works, camera opens very fast, battery is great. In all very few bugs so far... Maybe there are differences if you do a hard reset or not. Cheers man!
1) Battery Charging/Draining Speeds: I see mixed reviews everywhere, but I do think it's faster. I also think it works only with the in-box charger. The phone and the charger are also considerably warmer than they used to be on Nougat while charging. That said, I also notice that the battery drains faster with a similar, or even lower, usage. 2) Update Stability vs Speed: I'd much rather prefer a well ironed out update over a hastled one. With Oreo, they seemed to have gone a few steps back it seems. 3) Other problems: The dialer app lost its dual calling buttons with the replacement of the AOSP Dialer with the Google Phone app, making calling, a two-step process (first call and then choose SIM). Camera does take longer to open, but not as much as shown in the video. Also, I tried the portrait mode and it has noticeably worsened in performance (grainier photos) compared to before. Unfortunately, they've not activated Camera2 API in Oreo as well. Pasting areas, in some part of the UI, occur away from where you have tapped (try pasting something in the feedback app; I know, it's ironic there's a bug in the very app designed to report bugs :p) Apps like Twilight (the inbuilt night light feature doesn't dim the screen enough for night reading) and Cornerfly (corners should always be rounded) lost a lot of their functionality due to a few deliberate changes in Oreo, but that's on Google, not Xiaomi. The security patch level could very well be Dec 5th (instead of Dec 1st, given the build date and Xiaomi's habit of sending monthly updates later into the month). 4) Re-review: Definitely! Assuming they'll fix these issues with the next update, it would be interesting to compare Mi A1 running Android 8.1.0 vs Android 7.1.2
i did the upgrade last night and so far i liked it. it is snappy and i do not have any bugs you mentioned except for one. the finger print sensor gesture for notification pulldown is not working
Are bhai kabhi acha comment kia karo... kya aise gawaron jaisi comment kar rahe ho... *Super dooper video* - Ye bhi koi comment hai bhala ..hamesha aise comment de rahe ho...
My Mi A1 is now noticably faster after the Oreo update. No issues with the camera app. Haven't checked the battery drain while Bluetooth is on.. Even I found that fast charging doesn't work... Gestures on the fingerprint scanner is working for me (I had turned it on while on Nougat).. but yes, I can't see any option to turn it on/off in the settings as of now on Oreo. Overall, I love the update. The battery backup has also improved.. I am getting almost half an hour extra screen on time after the Oreo update.
Hi Sundar. After de os update I could see delay/pause for few seconds while making a call. Is there anything really running in background which consumes timing. What's that issue?. Have you faced similar stuffs?
My favourite feature is the power saving mode! It was always there but it's so much better now! I'm getting easily 6-7 hours of SOT with 4g on all the time!!
I upgraded to Oreo within the first 3 days since it came out. I`m not facing any of the issues you mentioned here. It might just be fake problems being put out by the competition to destroy Mi A1`s popularity. I think my Mi A1 is the best phone i`ve used in the 15k bracket.
None of the problems mentioned are happening on my Mi A1... Battery life has improved very much. The old problem of apps hanging in background continues.
For those who didn't get the update yet. go to apps and in system apps. Select google service framework and clear data. Now go search update. 😊😉 By the way love your work ash and sundar
I am not sure about the bugs mentioned at the end of the video. No issues in opening the camera app, or using the swipe down to open notification bar on the fingerprint scanner works buttery smooth. Battery performance has improved overall. Not sure about battery drain on Bluetooth, will use and update the section.. Thanks for reviewing though..
Which one way is good for upgrade to O Android O? (1) directly system updates notification for Android O. or (2) first i have to format my phone then upgrade it to Android O.
Depends on people to people some like timely delivery but some doesn't like bugs but can wait for few more days. For me it's good that they kept their promise.
Finally Received Oreo with no bugs. Swipe to see notification panal working, no camera issues,Jio Calls working smooth. But battery i guess drains slightly faster than former update(not sure). But felt bad for the headphone jack icon. 🎧 #miA1
I didn't find any issue regarding swiping down notification panel through finger print scanner and camera opening. The only thing I didn't got is theme changing option.
Mi a1 user... Thanks to xiaomi for keeping their promise. They could fix this by an OTA update sooner or later. Facing only the camera bug everything else works fine for me. Even there's nougat stable update also had some bugs.so keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that they will this bugs as soon as possible. Love c4e tech And Ash
There are some bugs, though most of the ones that you mentioned I haven't got a chance to test all of the out yet but when you video chat and if the person on the other end ends up the call the dark blurry shade mentioning Drag to the bottom to remove never goes away until you restart your phone, not a big issue as the apps at the bottom works fine and opens when you tap on them. I also found that the quick whatsapp reply from the notification bar is no longer available which was extremely handy when playing games or watching youtube videos... Moreover, the information on the notification bar that says "Sim 1 is HD capable" also doesn't goes away no matter if you restart your phone. Not sure but is a mixed feeling atm wanted some features of Nougut as it was pretty neat as well.
Can you tell me about the battery backup in Oreo as compared to naugat? Please tell. I m in confusion whether to retain in naugat or update it to Oreo?
i got a mi a1 on android o cx i didnt face any bugs yet and the charging was faster for me than what you have mentioned in the video (i usually charge my phone when its on idk if that makes any difference tho ) and i feel like the fingerprint scanner and battery got better too xD personally i had a delightful time after updating to oreo
I have updated my MI 1 to Oreo I didn't find any bugs camera opens up quick scrolling down notification bar with fingerprint sensor works just fine everything is just fine and stable.
There is audio bug when you play music in play music app(with equaliser on) the audio is some what low. But not facing this problem with other music apps.
Super video sundar bro. I update my mia1 in 31dec. Totally fine. But i noticed charging time is slightly reduced about ( 10 - 15 mins.) Totally satisfied with the update. In day to day usage i didn't use any features of OREO except smart text selection. My wishes to reach 1million subs soon.
Iam Happy that Xiaomi pushed update in time...And they can fix this bugs and include fast charging (if they r comfortable with it) on the next monthly update.
Two features are missing after the update which was present in nougat. Correct me if I am wrong. 1) cannot block data usage for an individual app. 2) missing auto power on/off features. I was using those when my phone was in nougat.
My A1 notification sensor is working with sweeping the fingerprint sensor as usual... I got update on 3 jan.. and the camera opening time is normal as it was previous... Not like that what u show in this video... Good video 🤗🤗🤘, help me with some other features... Carry on
It's good that they updated it before December . People were going crazy abusing Xiaomi for updates and some people were constantly asking customer. Service every day . It's gud Xiaomi rolled out atleast to shut these people . Now they know what happens when they hurry
I haven't faced any issues. Using for a day, No problem in Camera, No battery drain , and notification gesture and PIP is working fluently. The phone have became more snappier and fluid and a significant change in fingerprint sensing time.
The battery drain has been a problem in my MI A1 as well after the Oreo update, but there has been no problem with the camera. Will the battery draining problem be solved by future updates?
Hey Sundar bro! The videos r really nice which u make. I got the Oreo update on 31st morning. I own a mi a1 the camera is really good but yeah night time is not that great, but manageable. After the Oreo update I haven't found any problem with the finger print sensor for the notification usage. It was that the fingerprint sensor would unlock the phone faster.. this did not happen. When photo taken by flash it takes about 1 second to click it and save it. That's a problem. The battery actually drains fast. I'm a normal user who plays little bit of game around 1 hr a day that's it..still the battery does not stand for a day properly. *Do make further videos about the mi a1*
I got Oreo 👍 update. Mine is working normally, no bugs and all and I'm charging through the original adapter itself and it's quicker than fast charging.
Mi has rolled out their Qualcomm certified quick charge adapter 3.0 ...does this support fast charging in mi a1 .....can give a quick suggestion on it ..because the sale is live now
Xiaomi did a good job overall and kept on their promise which is very good for them. And as you said, I'm also sure they'll fix these minor bugs in the next update soon... Xiaomi is great though! And yeah pls one more dedicated video after the update makes the phone stable... Nice job Sundar!
For me.. Night light is on for all the time. Very handy.. I am experiencing a considerable battery drainage.. Overall the experience is impressive... Let xiaomi fix all the issues..
I'm only facing the battery draining problem, everything else seems to be working fine & yeah you have missed the *Mi Sound Enhancer* add-on!!! Great video as always👍
Okay so, I've been using the device for 4 months now & I've a pretty good idea how it performs so let's divide this into pros & cons. *Pros:* 1. It has metal unibody design & it does feel premium. 2. Its fast & thanks to its stock android you can switch b/w apps quickly by pressing the multitasking key twice. 3. Its camera is pretty good during daylight but does struggles a little at night(see the cons section for more details) & the *Portrait* mode is far better than other phones youll find in this price range. 4. It plays all the games with ease but tends to get little warm in asphalt 8 at high settings(It's not that hot, just gets little warm & frankly it won't even bother you). 5.The battery life is good I would say, I'm a student & it lasts me throughout the day (considering that I play games & with switching b/w apps regularly, listen to music & all other sorts of stuff & it lasts a whole day.) 6. And yeah the audio output from the 3.5 mm jack is just *incredible*, you'll have to stay at 20% most of the time(at indoors) & 40% is perfect for outdoors so yeah it's that loud & if you pair it with something like an Audio Technica M20x you will just "plug into nirvana", that's what I'd say.....its that good!!! 7. The speaker is also decent, it does get loud in indoors. 8. It also has a notification light (although its only white) but yeah its nice to have one. 9. Lastly, I would talk about the type-c & yeah it's not a feature but it made life little simple since you don't have to check whether its going in the right position or not & it does charge faster than the standard type-b & yeah it doesn't support fast charging or anything!!! *Cons:* 1. The rear camera struggles in low light & artificial light but you can take good photos using camera FV-5 for low lights...In natural light, it's pretty damn good. 2. The front camera is pretty decent I'd say it does get the job done but yeah it doesn't bother me cuz I don't really take selfies (Just occasionally opens it to check whether my hairstyle is okay or not Lol !!!). 3. It doesn't support fast charging (if that's a priority for you). Now let me answer some questions : *Q.Why would you I buy this phone if I can buy other phones that have better selfie camera & supports fast charging?* A. Don't then but don't forget its main feature is *future-proofing*, Google is backing up this device for at least two years & you will get the Android P update which will release in 2019 & maybe they'll give security updates after that also & even if they don't, you can root it & will last upto 2020 or more but you may face a degraded battery life(Well that a coomon promblem among battery nowadays). *Q. When will I get my security updates?* A.Depending on the update, you will getyour updates before 15 of every month. *Q.Did it hang?* A. Yeah 3 times...Did it bother me?...Absolutely not, its maybe because of some memory problem but dont worry its completely fine. *Q.Shall I buy it for 13k?* A. Just go for it.....it's worth evey penny.
Notification squad , hit like 😃 ..... Sundar as usual love ur work bro 😎
+Suryavanshi Choudery eyy thanks mate!
Always welcome , one of those subscribers who rush to watch ur videos ASAP even during Exams ✌️

One more mi A1 review
Today I tested MiA1 with the fast charger I got from mi max 2 it took. 95 min to charge full
Are u on stable Oreo update or beta one
I am pretty sure he's using the Beta one
Device turn on or off
Nel Ze ya, please try when phone is on. I have Huawei p9 which behaves in the same way; doesn't fast charge when switched off but does so when on.
Bull Taurus stable
Congrats for 900 k Subs.....🤩🤩😍😍❤️💯💯🔥🔥
+Dipesh Singh thanks mate!!
I am ok with it ...how ever it's giving a update for every 20 days so.....I believe phone will become bug free..
Security updates include bug fixes!
Jp Akash nope
Aditya Sinha wait what?
Sundar Pls make a speed test between nougat and Oreo on MI A1
Oreo will fail because of camera lag.
Nyc video sundar i had a doubt...Can we expect EIS for Mi a1 in future????? Though it's a software feature i wish they would enable it!! Your opinion abt EIS in Mi a1??
Bro i updated my phone this morning and working fine,no issues faced till now,I formated my device before updating...

Prabu R'kumar Turn it on in System UI Tuner.

Gr8 work sundar. This is the reason we love C4ETech so much❤️
Thanks Neeraj :)
- Sundar
Updated my phone today itself, all the bugs you mentioned are fortunately absent on my device, phone feels snappy and i love it so far.
So even if battery, and charger dont support fast charging with software update it is possible to have it?!
The charger needs to support it that's why we used a different one and not the one that comes with the Mi A1!
- Sundar
C4ETech so basically even if they Enable it.. most of us wont getting the benefit unless we spend more ND get us a fast charger,😑😑
BIBHASH MANDAL you bought the phone at a low price. Dont expect to much bro.
I was just asking....and I dont have M1A1 I have Mate 10 Lite!I asked because I was just interested....
Jomel Yamon you get rapid charger with p2 which is faster than oneplus dash charger so why not xiaomi give fast charging as well.
@C4ETech Hello Sundar, after update to Oreo is battery life better, same or bad?
It would have been better if they rolleed out update without bugs and yeah we would like a new video when bugs r solved
You definitely didn't read threads on Mi Forum. Guys there were crying for updates, cursing Xiaomi and what not. Xiaomi had to push Oreo update on time to stop those retards from crying.
I received the update, the day after this video. I did not face any issue mentioned in the video. The fast charging works (i use Motorola's turbo charger) it says charging rapidly. Keep up the good work guys!
Not everyone
Each one of Oreo features

Thank u for fast REPLAY
1) Battery Charging/Draining Speeds: I see mixed reviews everywhere, but I do think it's faster. I also think it works only with the in-box charger. William Tavares it means bootloader of phone is open. Root access.

Mi has rolled out their Qualcomm certified quick charge adapter 3.0 ...does this support fast charging in mi a1 .....can give a quick suggestion on it ..because the sale is live now
Dash charge is different from qc 3.0. Have you tried using MiMax 2 charger or Mi 6 charger...
congratulations for 900k subs h hope reach 1m soon!
+AYUSH PATEL thanks mate!!
Can we enable the schedule power on n off in MI A1 after Oreo update?
Coz I don't see any option.
Where in earlier I could!
Pic-in-pic mode is awesome but limited...
You are very good and your videos are superb...
+sparsh nigam thanks mate!
Bro I'm confused in buying in these phones mi a1 and 7x
Which one is best for overall performance?
Please reply
Xiaomi did a good job overall and kept on their promise which is very good for them. And as you said, I'm also sure they'll fix these minor bugs in the next update soon... Xiaomi is great though! And yeah pls one more dedicated video after the update makes the phone stable... Nice job Sundar!
Yes +Sunder definitely revisit the Mi A1 after it gets the 2nd stable update of Oreo
For me.. Night light is on for all the time. Very handy.. I am experiencing a considerable battery drainage.. Overall the experience is impressive... Let xiaomi fix all the issues..
You are way more better than other Indian tech RUclipsrs or you are the indian Michael Fisher, love your videos i support you 👍
Awsm idea... Loved it! I Hit the like button before watching it.....
*Watching this On my MI A1 and with Android Oreo..!!!* 😍😍😍
I don't have a single bug in my A1 and performance is top notch in mid range segment also in benchmarking the score is increased by 5-10%
I'm only facing the battery draining problem, everything else seems to be working fine & yeah you have missed the *Mi Sound Enhancer* add-on!!! Great video as always👍
+Deb Roy thanks mate!!
Deb Roy I am gonna buy it tomorrow at flipkart for 13k? Is it good deal?Tell me about performance please..
Okay so, I've been using the device for 4 months now & I've a pretty good idea how it performs so let's divide this into pros & cons.
*Pros:*
5.The battery life is good I would say, I'm a student & it lasts me throughout the day (considering that I play games & with switching b/w apps regularly, listen to music & all other sorts of stuff & it lasts a whole day.)
*Cons:*
Now let me answer some questions :
*Q.Why would you I buy this phone if I can buy other phones that have better selfie camera & supports fast charging?*
*Q. When will I get my security updates?*
A.Depending on the update, you will getyour updates before 15 of every month.
*Q.Did it hang?*
A. Yeah 3 times...Did it bother me?...Absolutely not, its maybe because of some memory problem but dont worry its completely fine.
*Q.Shall I buy it for 13k?*
A. Just go for it.....it's worth evey penny.
